“Make Me” (Sashnetra)
Sasha and Anetra normally had a perfect friendship, everything in harmony, practically finishing each other's sentences. They were so in sync it was almost eerie.
But some days… Some days Anetra seemed determined to get on Sasha’s every last nerve. And today was one of those days.
“Anetra, I’m serious. We’re gonna be late to Loosey’s birthday dinner. Pick your ass up, we need to leave.”
Anetra glanced up from where she was sat cross legged on the floor in front of Sasha’s wall of mirrors, lip liner in hand. “You’re the one who wanted me to drive us there, Sasha. I have to finish my makeup. You’re welcome to walk there on your own if you don’t want to wait,” she snipped out before turning back to the mirror to continue lining her lips, and if Sasha’s eyes weren’t deceiving her, it seemed as if Anetra was going even slower than before.
She adored her best friend, but one of these days, she was going to strangle her.
“Anetra.” She growled, closing the distance between them and snatching the lipstick out of Anetra’s hand, earning herself a cry of protest. “We have to go, it’s a 20 minute drive to the restaurant and we told Loosey we’d arrive at 7:30.” She pointed to the clock on the wall, clearly displaying 7:15.
Something flashed behind Anetra’s eyes, tongue darting over her half made-up lips, pushing herself to her feet to snatch the lipstick back from Sasha.
“And what do you plan to do about it, Sasha? I’m your ride, you’re on my timeline.” She swiped the lipstick across her lips and for a moment, Sasha found herself mesmerized by the movement, watching the plush pink lips transform to the blood red color Anetra had chosen.
She snapped herself out of her momentary trance, standing closer to Anetra than strictly appropriate for friends, but she couldn’t bring herself to widen the gap. “For once in your life, you need to stop being a brat.” She hissed out, attempting to deflect from her momentary staring.
That same look as before flashed behind Anetra’s gaze and she took a step forward, leaving less than a foot away now.
“Make me.”

And if Sasha and Anetra never did make it to Loosey's party… well. There were much more important priorities to deal with.
