Lady Mastermind´s headquarters is subtle at finest all thanks to her sister's choices, Lady Mastermind is awry in regards to Megan´s safety-not completely, mind you, as she has eyes and ears in Genosha.
First things first, is what on her mind, Lady Mastermind needs to defeat Scarlet Witch in one field where the woman is not at the top.
Blink bites her lips, pink as her skin, and voices one concern that plagues her mind, "but what if they find our location? They have telepaths and Pixie was never trained to endure this...process?"
Lady Mastermind is adjusting her corset, truly, if you want to be evil and sexy...you need to know how to dress as a woman and not as a man drawing hentai.
"Oh, I know they will do that...hence why I put our location in her mind," Lady Mastermind confessed too easily.
Blink is not seeing how her leader can be so nonchalant about this. "What? The Red Guard does not take prisoners...and they will still parade themselves as being humane!" Blink shouts and no one needs to be a telepath to know what she is thinking.
The Red Guard wants to protect Genosha at all costs.
They may want to go to the humane route-whatever for their own morality or for the press- but the point remains, The Red Guard has killed before and will do again if the occasion arises.
Lady Mastermind is too calm, as the corset is molding her body in an appropriate way, mind you, Lady Mastermind has no interest in parade herself in nothing but a corset.
Her look will be a sexy Victorian outfit aka, she will cover more skin.
"Oh, I meant...they will have an address...I never said it was the right one!" Lady Mastermind explains and Blink is pondering this line, the implications...
"And there´s no way of them...finding us?"
"None!"
Kurt and Kitty are approaching the building, too fancy to be unnoticed and at the same time, too fancy to be suspicious. Kurt and Rogue are shaking their head in disapproval...the place was too obvious now.
Kitty won´t comment on tastes...after all, when she was 13 years old she thought ribbons would be fashionable, well, many mean girls prove otherwise.
The team is composed of Rogue, Kitty- an honorable guest and nothing more if she is immune to illusions...that´s no big deal- and Kurt. You don´t need to be a telepath to know ...Rogue is not too comfortable in having Kitty here.
"Sugah, we´re going to do...bad things here," Rogue commence not unkindly yet, "you´re here for a technicality," her eyes wander to her brother who is just staring back, "but we´ll kill those who are a threat to Genosha and the Queen...do you understand?"
Do you understand what you´ll see?
Kitty wants to lie and say yes and how that won´t be a problem for her.
Kitty is a terrible liar.
"I know...and yes, I´m immune to illusions so you two need me, I get what I´ll see is not....great, but, let´s forget about me for a moment," she psyches herself for the last part, "are you sure you and the elf can do all this alone?"
Kurt now smirks and it is a mirror image of his sister.
"Katzchen, me, and Rogue are an army, this is more than enough," Kurt even winks Kitty after such line is delivered.
Kitty bites her lips. She saw Kurt, the conspiracy theories. She saw Kurt the flirt...she never saw Kurt...the Red Guard...in action.
"Ok, I trust your judgment..." Kitty speaks and no one says anything else. Rogue, for her part, regards Kitty one last time as if saying ''are you ready?''
And truth to be told, Kitty is not sure if she is...
But she made her bed, now she must lay.
The building is an apartment, one of those for the elite only. Kitty recognized one celebrity as Patsy Walker- the famous actress and radio host- taking her mail and ignoring the Red Guards the best she can.
Kitty looks at Rogue who is entering the elevator along with her brother and both are waiting for something.
Conventionally speaking, in video games, as soon the heroes enter the base of the enemy...everyone starts to attack, yet, what they´re getting is total ignorance of some and bewildered from others.
The security let them in...too easily.
"Guys..." Kitty spoke startled by the bing sound in the elevator as the doors open to reveal more illustrious people trying to enter, but, noticing Kurt and Rogue preferred to wait for another elevator.
"Guys...is this an evil lair to you?"
Rogue growls and Kurt continues to press the bottom to each floor, till finally, they reach the penthouse level.
If Kurt was expecting something evil...all he got was a penthouse owned by a very distressed and confused socialite.
A lie is made on the spot and the socialite is more than pleased to help Genosha-she shows interest in Kurt and his fur, but, the man´s mind is reeling to even notice her words- and well, there´s nothing evil going on in this apartment.
Aside from capitalism and very rich people.
Rogue stares at Kitty as if any moment the woman will reveal this was all a facade, Rogue was hoping for that...except.
"Not an illusion...just a fancy apartment," Kitty spoke inwardly relieved she won´t have to see the Red on the Red Guard.
Kurt grits his teeth and says one thing. "Fantastic she made us of a fool, fantastic!"
Rogue exhales sharply. "What we do?"
Kurt stares at the building as if it is mocking them.
"We return to Genosha, either Pixie trick us or Lady Mastermind is far more cunning than we thought," Kurt spoke seriously and a bit ashamed, silly Kurt thought this would be an easy mission.
Blink can sigh in relief as her boss´s words are proven true once again, not once the Red Guard show up or have any clue where they are.
"So...what´s the next part of the plan?" Blink asked largely now.
"We destabilize Wanda, who wants to have a queen that is so incompetent?" and adds "then we strike, we´ll get Genosha once and for all,"
