Rescue me

T.K P.O.V 

I'm sitting at the firehouse, we are playing cards. The shift is pretty boring. Not much work to do. But at least Buck is back. Bobby gave him another chance so he's back with us. Just one little problem. They want him to do nothing without a permission. We all need to have an eye on him. 

Buck: we need to turn the Tv on. 

Chimney: why? 

Buck: there's a hostage taking at a restaurant. 

Bobby: come on turn it on. 

Buck: on my way *turns it on* 

Reporter: we are in Front of the ValleyRestaurant, dramatic pictures are happening behind us. A man took 4 people and right now a police officer as well. They are still inside. The police is trying to get a hold of the officer. No answer. The S.W.A.T. Team is waiting here to get into the building. Officer, excuse me, can we talk to you for a second? 

Athena: no sorry no time 

Reporter: just one question. 

Athena: fine *sighs* 

Reporter: is it true That you send an officer inside who never had a situation like this? 

Athena: no comment on that *walks away* 

Buck: *turns the Tv quieter* it's good that Athena isn't replying. Hopefully everyone is fine there. 

T.K: i can't get a hold of Carlos. 

Bobby: I'm sure he's fine. He's working. I guess he's with Athena. Don't worry 

We watch the report. For a bit of time nothing happens. Suddenly you can hear multiple shots in the background. We see the S.W.A.T. Team, trying to get into the building but then they stop. 

Buck: what's happening 

Bobby: Athena is trying to stop them. But why? 

Reporter: okay that's new. One of the officers wants to stop the team from going inside. 

T.K: why are they not going inside? Shots! There were shots! They heard them 

Bobby: T.K calm down. You're not there. It's fine 

Buck: more shots...gosh what is happening there...why aren't they going inside? 

T.K: because of the fire 

Buck: which fire? 

T.K: there's smoke. In the back of the building. 

Bobby: he's right. There's a fire 

A few seconds later our bell rings. We grab our gear and drive to the restaurant. When we arrive it's completely on fire. How is it possible that it burns that fast. 

Athena: *runs towards them* finally you're here. We can't explain how fast the fire is growing. Probably 4 hostages, the shooter and one of our officers is inside. 

Bobby: you have names? 

Athena: no *sighs* 

Bobby: what's the name of the officer? 

Athena: it's from another unit. Don't know his name

Tom: but *gets interrupted*

Athena: *steps on his foot* we don't know him. Tom always thinks he knows everyone. 

Well that's weird. 

Bobby: okay everyone. Masks on and let's go inside. We don't have much time left. Look out for dead bodies as well. We don't know if everyone is still alive! 

We nod and run inside. The smoke is dark. I feel a body next to my feet. I grab it and take it outside. It's a woman. She's dead...gun shot wound through the head. I lie her down and run back inside. Chimney is carrying a body outside. A woman. She's alive and screaming in pain. 

I look around. After some time we carried another three bodies out. One of them is the shooter. He's dead. A bullet hit his head. 

Athena: okay how did this happen? 

Marta: my husband. He kind of grabbed his own gun and. 

T.K: i think everyone is out now. 

Bobby: how Many people were inside? 

Athena: we talk about this later *turns around to Bobby* four hostages, the shooter and one officer. *looks at the people* no, one is missing 

Buck: we looked everywhere. The kitchen, the tables, the bar. We couldn't find another 

Athena: there has to be another one! *starts to panic* 

T.K: okay okay we will go and look again. Come on buck. 

Bobby: you sure you don't have a name? 

Athena: no. *sighs* 

T.K: LAFD!!! Can you here us?! 

Buck: LAFD!!!! Is anyone there!!! 

Carlos: help *quietly* 

T.K: did you hear that? 

Buck: no *sighs* maybe the house? We need to get out of here. *steps against something* wait there is something. *softly steps against it with his foot* 

Carlos: *whimps in pain* help please... *has a very sore voice* 

T.K: don't worry officer we will get you out of here. 

We grab his legs and arms and carry him outside. His face is covered with smoke and blood. 

Carlos P.O.V. 

I can't describe you what exactly happened. Shots. Pain going through my cheek. Blood running over my face. I look around slowly. I smell smoke. See fire. Oh my gosh where does the fire come from...

Within minutes the fire is literally everywhere. I try to cough but it hurts. I hear the LAFD going through the house. I try to call out for help but I'm not loud enough...

I can see them going out. I will die..,I'm pretty sure I'll die...wait they are coming back in...I can hear T.K and Buck. I try to tell them where I am but it doesn't work. Buck steps against me. Then again and finally they see me. I think they don't recognize me...T.K it's me...I whimp in pain when they carry me outside...

T.K: *puts him on a stretcher and wants to let go of his arms, Carlos holds his hand* the paramedics will help you now. Don't worry 

Buck: we need to inform the family of the officer. Maybe the S.W.A.T. Team knows his name 

Hen: he needs to be transport now. T.K let go of his hand 

T.K: I'm trying but he's holding it. *sighs* officer I promise we will find your family. 

Chimney: normally they have their names on the uniform. Maybe he has too. 

Bobby: Good you got him. Athena! They got him. You can tell the other unit that their man is safe 

Athena: that was a lie it's..

Tom: did they find Carlos?? *runs towards them* 

T.K: why Carlos? Thought he's on a call. 

Athena: yes this call. *sighs* is he okay? 

T.K: wait.... *looks at Carlos* oh my gosh *puts a hand on his mouth* 

Hen: T.K, no time for shock, get into the ambulance we need to go now! He lost a lot of blood. 

Finally he recognized me...I start to cough, I can't breathe...I spit out a lot of blood...I hold T.Ks hand tight...I'm scared...I scream in pain when Hen touches my face. 

Hen: okay Carlos you need to hold still. Okay I'll give you a sedative medication. It's better for you. 

I try to say something but then everything turns black.
