i would like to say that this is mostly asian only story so everyone here will be asian unless stated otherwise, there is a few non asian characters so do keep at look out for it at the author's note at the end of every chapter where i clarify a character's ethnicity
also, asian mythological creatures will be included the story as well, its a fantasy story after all
not all asian countries will be included, some will not shown at all as they would not have been mentioned in the story, i will die making 40+ countries please... this isn't an asia tour
this is a little fic for funsies don't expect a 10/10 perfect story, i kept some of what i have created when i was 15 writing this bc i was too lazy to change. some of the characters are inspired by my friends
i tried to ensure that it is as close to korean's historical stuff as i could but i didn't have much time for research and did my best. some of my characters make controversial political choices but rest assured that i don't agree with it

what are the powers of aserians (or just people in general) born with special abilities, what do they do and what do you call aserians (or everyone else) with them:
mystics / mureaks:
magic users, all mystics have two different type of powers
all magic will work within a 1 kilometre radius from the user unless you're trying to send a message (provided that the sender knows where is the receiver)
the stronger the mystic, the more they are able to do with their abilities (will be elaborated on in the chapters)
you're not allowed to harm people with your fire without a valid reason (self defense) if you do, you will be sent to jail and if you're a repeat offender, you will get your powers revoked in a rather... fun ceremony
mureaks is a combination of mutant and freaks, used as a degrading term against mystics

each powers and what they do (will be elaborated as story goes on)
1) fire / flarion: you can make a fire with your own hand and even warm yourself up when you're cold. you can also throw fire at people and anything you touch will ignite at will without harming you or ruining the item unless you want ruin the item
2) water / aqualis : like fire, you can make one with your own hand and drink it if you're thirsty. you can also throw water at people and summon a wave out of nowhere at will. like fire, anything you touch will have an aqua like aura surrounding it. not only that, you can also control all liquids as long as they have water in them. however, one cannot make water that they did not create disappear, eg: ocean
3) plant / terrane: you have the ability to grow fauna and flora at will and speed up their growth. many terranes help in farms. they also have the ability to grow vines from the ground and have them wrapped around a person. any item will be wrapped by the vine and will be damaged if the user wants it to be. can swing from tree to tree as well. they can also summon vines to come out from their body, eg: tip of fingers
4) metal / argent: you can summon any item made up of any metal at will. with a twirl of your fingers, you can even make metal weapons like daggers with melted metal. you can also turn your arm into a shield by making the surface harder and more durable, which was why many argents took part in war and very few died. free shield lol. also able to control the iron in humans if strong enough
5) light / lumina: you have the power to control the light around you. you can make the sun glare shine a little less bright or brighter around you, depending on what you want. you can even blind people and throw small light beams at them that could leave someone blind. or make a rope made out of light, or manipulate any form of light around
6) dark / dusk: unlike a lumina, a dusk can control the darkness around them and make the surroundings darker, depending on what they like. they have night vision !! also able to manipulate shadows and make them living creatures that would do their bidding
7) snow / glazer: you can summon ice and snow at will, form icicles anywhere you like and even make the temperature drop around you. you can also cause a hail storm too. you can also make ice cubes for your drinks when it turns cold. or make an ice sword !
8) wind / avian: the power to control wind and able to summon them at will. the strength of the wind depends on the user and they can even make mini tornadoes if they want to. also able to create air bubbles to float in the sky for a while. very strong avians can control specific gas like oxygen
9) electric / flash: you have the ability to summon lightning at will and help charge the electricity. has the ability to charge up anything tbh. flashes can start up a very heavy lighting storm and have the lightning strike anyone they want, if they are strong enough
honourable mentions:
any mystics can be the following 2, its random, and not all mystics will get the following 2
healer: able to heal minor and severe injuries quickly and efficiently but not for extremely life threatening situations, otherwise everyone would be able to live. once the heart/lung/brain receives a fatal injury, lol time to die haha. healers can't bring anyone back to life ! hehe
crafter: able to build anything, buildings, devices etc, efficiently. when it comes to buildings, it requires more than 1 crafter and a construction worker, depending on how big the building is, and how complicated it is

mutater: able to change form into any animals they want. it is the only learn skill, unlike crafter and healer, which are born skills. when one turns onto an animal, the animal will have a mark which represents the person
