End Of An Era, Beginning Of A New One
October 31st, 9:30 Pm 1981 Potter Safehouse, Godric’s Hollow
It was a happy Halloween at Potter safe house Harry, Hermione, Fleur, and Tonks had just gotten back from trick-or-treating with Percy and Sebastian, the kids were extremely happy because they had gotten large, copious amounts of candy, while the adults, on the other hand, were dead tired. “C’mon girls let's go sort our candy,” Harry told Tonks and Fleur. Up to Harry’s room, they went. “Good gods, I'm tired” Percy exclaimed with a sigh. “Remind me to nevair let Jamez plaze ze compulzion charm on ze kidz evair again. Zhat vaz Ezhauzting.” exclaims Sebastian. They decide to take a quick nap before the rest of the adults get home.
Later
“We’re Back!” Shouts James, as he, Lily, Lucius, and Narcissa step through the door. “Oh thank the gods, we thought you guys had gotten lost in London,” Percy states dryly. “Well, we would have been back sooner if James and Lucius hadn't stopped at the armory on the way home.” States Lily as she and Narcissa glare at their aforementioned husbands. “In our defense, They had new weapons on sale and we had to check them out.” Lucius weakly defends.
The kids then came down with neatly sorted buckets of candy. “Muma look at how much candy we got!” Hermione says rushing up to her mom excitedly.
“Wow! That's a lot of candy ‘Mione. I hope you plan to space out your eating of it.” Lily says to her daughter. “How much did you get kids?’’ James asks his son, niece, and goddaughter. “ A lot!” They exclaim at the same time. The family( minus those who were still at work) soon retired to bed.
10:45 PM Harry, Fleur, and Tonks’ room
“Harry, can we come sleep in your bed please?” says a tired Tonks. “Sure girls” Replies Harry. Fleur and Tonks then climb into Harry’s bed with him. When the Tonks' parents got back to the house along with Ariene Delacour, Sirius, and Remus they went to check on the sleeping adults then they went to check on Hermione, after that, they went to Harry, Tonks, and Fleur’s room. What they saw made their hearts melt, a sleeping Harry was sandwiched between Fleur and Tonks, the three of them subconsciously scooting as close as possible to each other. The three of them were smiling in their sleep. The adults matched their faces to those of the children. As the adults closed the door they heard a loud BOOM! And the house shook.
The shaking of the house awoke all the adults and kids. That was when the ward alarms went off. “GET THE KIDS TO THE SAFE ROOM AND SUIT UP!!! VOLDEMORT AND HIS DEATH EATERS ARE HERE!!” Shouted Percy. “SOMEONE CALL AMELIA AND BELLA, TELL THEM TO GET AURORS HERE NOW!” James shouted. “I’ve already called them” explains Lily as everyone converges in the living room. “Lucius, Draco is at your parents' place right?” Questions Percy as he goes into battle mode. “Yes, He is safe with them” Responds Lucius. “Okay Remus, You an-” Percy starts before he gets cut off as the wall behind them explodes and they are all knocked to the ground. James acts quickly and puts up a shield around the kids. “Everyone circle around the kids. Wands at the ready.” Ordered Sirius. “Harry, Be prepared to use your powers to protect yourselves and Fleur/Tonks if need be,” said Percy. Harry nodded with Hermione.
Death eaters started filing in from the hole in the wall. Then Voldemort’s pet snake, Nagini slithered across the debris-ridden floor. Behind Nagini, a black robe-clad figure stepped through the hole, Voldemort himself. He was paler than a vampire, with slits where his nose should be, but the most terrifying part of him was his piercing blood-red eyes. He looked more snakelike than a man.
Behind the Potter family, several apparition cracks alerted them that Aurors had arrived. “Voldemort, stand down and surrender your forces. In the name of Magical Britain, you are under arrest.” Amelia Bones, current Head of the DMLE. try to order Voldemort. “I’m afraid I can do no such thing, Madame Bones. You see, I have a job to do.” Voldemort tells the DMLE head, staring at Harry and Hermione. The adults protecting the kids instinctively tighten their guard. “You have one chance. Stand. Down.” Bellatrix Black, Assistant Head of the DMLE says. “No,” Voldemort states menacingly. Then all hell broke loose.
Aurors and Death eaters traded spell fire as red and green flashed through the air. Aurors fall to the ground dead, while Death eaters fall to the ground unconscious. While the family tries to protect the kids. “BOMBARDA” Shouts Voldemort. The spell sails through the air crashing into the shield, and shattering it. The explosion of magic knocking everyone minus Voldemort to the ground. No one notices Harry press a blue button styled in the shape of a phoenix that’s on his watch.
The adults scramble to form a wall in front of the kids, but Voldemort banishes them to the back of the room and places an Immobilus on them. “NO! PLEASE NO NOT THE KIDS! PLEASE DON'T HURT THEM!” Lily screams. “ Don’t worry, the only one I want is Harry.” Voldemort then forcefully throws the other kids against the wall knocking them unconscious. Wrong move. Seeing this Harry gets EXTREMELY mad. As Voldemort walks towards Harry, Harry starts to glow. Percy realizing what's happening quickly casts protection charms on everyone minus Harry. As Voldemort gets closer, Harry creates an explosion of light knocking Voldemort to the ground. Seeing this Percy, James, and Lily rush in front of Harry and point their wands at Voldemort. No one seems to notice the Lighting Bolt-shaped scar appearing on Harry’s Head.
“How did you find us Tom?” asks Percy. Voldemort smirking, raspily replies “A little rat told me.” Everyone faces darkness, hurt, and betrayal clearly evident on their faces. “PETER.” James angrily spits out. Out comes the aforementioned rat. “You betrayed us! Why?!” Lily Yells out tears streaming down her face. “Because I could,” Says Pettigrew. A stunner flies from Percy’s wand. Before he even had time to react, Pettigrew crumpled to the ground unconscious.
Suddenly an amplified voice cuts through the house. “This is the Phoenix Corps. Voldemort steps out of the house with your hand in the air or we will come in with force.” Phoenix Corps agents suddenly rush into the house with their weapons trained on Voldemort and the unconscious Death eaters. “Well, I guess this Is my queue to leave. But not without leaving one last parting gift” “AVADA KEDAVRA” shouts Voldemort. The curse sails towards the parents but a combination of many other spells and curses all fly towards the green curse they all explode in a beautifully deadly light show. Everyone is blinded for a minute when everyone opens their eyes they see that where Voldemort stood is ash and Pettigrew is gone. The adults rush over to Percy, James, and Lily to check on them, while a couple of Phoenix Corps agents check on the kids. The parents and Percy slowly wake up. once everything dies down everyone is left with the same question: What the hell just happened?
