Revelations
After your escape you and Loki stayed at the cottage for what seems like weeks, living a simple life that you want to say fulfils you but deep down, you're bored. You pace up and down the cottage every day, Loki taking you out on dates every now and then to different planets and moons. Occasionally he would fuck you but something felt different about the action, you cling to him after and he holds you and tells you that you are loved, you believe it.
One morning you work up the courage to ask about the avengers, He tells you that they have stopped their search for you. He tells you that Peter Parker died of the wounds you inflicted, good. You were free now, to live your life, your life with him.
The garden outside the cottage is in full bloom, you sit among the flowers weaving flower crowns that you force upon Loki's head. Sometimes he sits with you and you talk, about nothing in particular but you find his presence comforting. You lay next to him in the flowers, holding hands and pointing at different constellations, you're pretty sure that he's making these names up but you giggle along occasionally kissing his forehead, this feels good.
That night you sit opposite each other and share a meal, you feel warm. you talk about plans to visit a new galaxy. you clean up together splashing water on each other until you are both completely drenched. You head to bed. You rest in bed next to the god you love, the god that loves you and you close your eyes, you don't dream, you never do anymore.
In the morning you get up just before the sunrise, you drag Loki outside to sit with you amongst the flowers, he obliges. Today you go further than you normally do, you sit together under a tree, holding hands watching the birds fly by up in the sky as the sun rises before you. There are many birds around this area, they sing to you and dance through the sky. Loki whistles a tune, which the birds echo back. It's so peaceful here, you feel safe. The morning light warms you and you close your eyes. While your eyes are closed you listen as the bird song suddenly cuts off. You open your eyes and can't see any birds in the sky any more. You turn to Loki and its clear he has noticed this too. He bolts up onto his feet and looks into the sky. His hearing must be better than yours as he reacts to the sound before you hear anything. he grabs your hand and you retreat further into the woods. And that's when you hear it too, the quinjet, the avengers were here. "Loki what do we-" he looks to you and puts a finger to his lips, he looks terrified. The two of you continue running through the trees you go to turn your head around to look but he grabs your arm tighter and pulls you closer to him. You make it to a clearing when suddenly a figure launches in front of you. You're frozen in place as you recognise the red and blue suit, The face mask of the suit disappears and you come face to face with Peter Parker.
You hear Loki mutter a curse as you fall to the ground, The rest of the avengers make their way to the clearing surrounding you and Loki. People are speaking but you can't hear anything. You feel betrayal, Hate. Hate for those around you, anger at the avengers at Loki. You turn to Loki, "you, lied" Everyone seems to back away slightly seeing your anger.
"Y/N listen" He pleads but you see red.
"no, NO, I won't listen, tell me what's going on, tell me the truth" If he lied about the avengers, about Peter what else was he lying about,
Bucky steps towards you, you recoil, "Everything he told you was a lie, you have to see it now" Loki looks at him, fury dancing in his eyes.
"Y/N please, you have to listen to me I'm trying to protect you from them"
"she doesn't need your protection Loki, all you have done is Lie" Bucky walks towards the dark haired god.
"And what about the lies you've told her Barnes,"
"shut up" Bucky spits at Loki. Loki steps towards the avengers,
"You've all been lying to her, haven't you" The avengers exchange looks between themselves.
"What is he talking about" you ask, They all look away.
"Go on Buck, tell her" Loki says, venom lacing his words, "tell her, or I will"
"Don't do this Loki" Bucky says, almost begging. Loki's gaze returns to you, He kneels down to you and strokes your face.
"Tell me Y/N, what do you know about you're father," shouts erupt from behind you but they are muted by the forcefield Loki has put up around you, The avengers slam into in try to tear in down, they try everything but nothing works. "haven't you ever wondered where you got your gifts from?" Bucky tears at the bubble separating you.
"Loki what are you talking about" you ask, blocking out the protests of the avengers outside.
"well, my dear. how do you think they knew about you, why do you think they choose you" His lips form a cruel smile, "You're gifts resemble those of a super solider, wouldn't you say?" the avengers stop fighting, you look at Bucky, he looks defeated.
"What are you saying Loki" None of this made any sense, your ears are ringing and you're mind is searching for any truth to hold on to.
"Come on Y/N, you really need me to say it" He looks down at you and holds your shoulder, "The winter solider, is your father".
Suddenly everything shatters, everything around you, Loki is thrown against the forcefield as it shreds around you. The sky feels as if its falling right on top of you and your mind is breaking. How could you know anything as truth. Everything the avengers had told you, was it all lies, Everything Loki had told you, was it all a cruel trick. was everyone using you. You search desperately for the truth but nothing makes sense, would you forever be broken?.
You lay on the ground for what feels like hours when you feel a presence lift you up. It was Bucky, he holds you shoulders and looks into your eyes. "I'm so sorry Y/N, this should have never happened you didn't deserve any of this"
"Is it true?"
"Yes"
"How do I know what's real?"
"Close your eyes"
You close your eyes, your mind is blank, its dark and cold. You search for the truth in all of this when you feel another hand grasp you're own. You recognise it, you recognise love. Its Peter, you throw your arms around him and he groans in pain, you suddenly remember everything that you did to him, "Peter I'm-"
"It's okay, it wasn't you, it was him" You look over at Loki who is being restrained by the rest of the avengers.
As Peter and Bucky hold you the rest of Loki's deceptions fall away leaving you shattered with the memories of all he did to you, of all he had you do.
It takes you a while to calm down enough to get on the quinjet back to the avengers compound, Peter takes you to your room. "how will anyone ever forgive me"
"Y/N no one blames you for any of this, you suffered more than any of us"
"Peter, you almost died because I wasn't strong enough to resist him" you sob into his chest as he holds you.
"It's okay Y/N, We're all okay, everything is going to be okay now, I promise" you look into his eyes and you believe what he says.
There's a knock at the door, Peter gets up to leave as Bucky walks in. He sits next to you on the bed,
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't know how, I was so ashamed that I had abandoned you, leaving you to fend for yourself all these years, I didn't know you were alive, your mother told me that you had died, I believed her, she must have handed you off to that orphanage shortly after your birth, I don't know, When Tony said he had found you alive I didn't want to believe it at first, the thought of you all by yourself, it- I never would have stopped looking for you if I had known, please believe that"
"I do"
"Now, Everyone's waiting in the hall for lunch if you're up for it, everyone's so glad that you're back, would you like to come" You nod and walk out of the room with Bucky, with, your dad. As you walk into the hall you see everyone smile and run towards you. you see your family.
