As susie entered the Dark World, she looked around for kris. They were leaning on a candy tree, waiting for susie.

“Well, well, well. Look who showed up.”
Kris said, without looking up. They were slightly annoyed that susie had Kris and Ralsei waiting for 30 whole minutes. Kris considered it bullshit.

“I-I was only 30 minutes late! If i didnt remember at all, you would be here forever waiting. You are lucky i even remembered in the first place.”
Susie crossed her arms and scoffed.

“Only 30 minutes??! Susie, you know I cant fight for shit on my own! What if something killed me?”

“I- Im sorry, Kris! Just- Noelle wasnt feeling well so i had to help her. I couldn’t just leave her crying in the hallway!”

Kris gasped, before smirking a little bit.
“Noelle, hm~?”

Susie opened her mouth to say something, but stopped and tried to think of what Kris could possibly mean by that.
“What the fuck do you mean by that?! Yeah, Noelle. Who else? And also, why are you smiling??”

“Oh, no reason in particular…”

Meanwhile, Noelle was still overwhelmed and embarrassed now that everyone knew that she might think of susie as more than a friend. Was it really true? She wanted to deny it, but could she? Would it be the truth if she brushed off the giddy feeling she gets whenever susie is around? Was it really… true..?

When noelle went to sleep that night, all she could think of was what susie had to do that was so urgent.

D.. Did susie have a date with.. kris..?

Just the thought of that made Noelle tear up. She cried and cried and didnt know why. She was just so confused. Why did she feel like this?
Girls are supposed to like boys and boys are supposed to like girls! That is what noelle was always taught in school! It has to be that way! It always was and always will be! Why is noelle feeling this?! Is she going insane?! Is her heart broken??!

or maybe.. noelle herself is the only broken one here.

She cried, and cried, and cried. She was so confused, and would do anything and everything to make this guilt go away!

She ran to her dad, being the only one she could trust with this information.

“Daddy! I have to ask a really important question!”

He looked down at noelle with confusion and empathy.
“Of course, Noelle! What is it..?”

“I… is it okay for girls to like other girls..?”
Noelle looked at him, desperate for answers.

His expression changed from a mix of confusion and empathy.. to just unconditional empathy.
“Noelle.. i understand your confusion. No matter what anyone else says, anybody can love anybody unconditionally. So yes, girls can love girls. And same goes with boys, or any gender at all! Always remember that i will be here for you no matter what gender you may love.”

Noelle’s eyes lit up, happy with the answer she was given. Her eyes filled with tears once more, this time out of pure joy.
“Th..Thank you…”
She shakily smiled and went back to bed thinking of susie, and wasn’t ashamed of it anymore.

As Noelle began walking to school, her heart began slamming as she tightened her grip on the purple flowers in her hands.

She saw a purple figure across the road, walking beside her on the opposite sidewalk. It took a moment for her to realize it was susie and melted. She found herself not noticing the sidewalk ending as she stared at susie in awe.

She didn’t notice she was walking into the road until she heard the blaring of a car horn. Her heart must have skipped 20 beats because she froze like a deer in headlights. She stared at the car in sheer horror until she felt a great weight throw her to the other side of the road, sending the flowers into the air, and landing in the forest near them.

Once Noelle finally opened her eyes, she felt dry, chalky hands around her shoulders as they both tumbled to the ground, and into a ditch.

Once they stopped rolling down what seemed to be an endless hill, Noelle felt a harsh pressure in her lower stomach. She looked at what was causing the pain and saw torn, dirt covered jeans on Noelle.

As she realized it was a person, she let out an unintentional yelp and covered her mouth. Her heart raced faster at every detail. She slowly looked from the torn jeans all the way to a familiar purple face.

“S-Susie?!!”
