Fury

Nicholas Joseph Fury had dealt with many strange things in his life. That said, a bright rainbow beam of light appearing right in front of him while he ate his lunch at the park was automatically added to the top 5 weirdest things to happen to him (that damm cat would always be number 1). Dropping his sandwich and pulling his gun out, Fury hit the panic button built into his watch knowing that S.H.E.I.L.D agents would soon be storming the area. Remembering what had happened in New Mexico, Fury fully expected someone to appear in the Einstein-Rosen Bridge, but as the light faded the only thing left in the Norse rune circle was... a scroll?

A missing person poster. Asgard, a planet that S.H.I.E.L.D believed to be more technically advanced and possibly a threat, had just used a Einstein-Rosen Bridge to drop a missing person poster in front of the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury was not amused. Even less so when as soon as he got back to his office he discovered that the World Security Counsel had started a meeting and were impatiently waiting for him to join. It seemed that Asgard didn't just send a missing person poster to him, but rather to every government in the world, as well as several people who didn't even work for the government but that had a great deal of influence in the world.

This unfortunately included Stark of all people. And of course after Stark being Stark, just had help the aliens out after reading it. Thus he decided that it would be a fine idea to then go and post a picture of it on every social media platform. Fury haf already had a headache after dealing with the WSC and Alexander Pierce, but now Fury's headache was becoming a migraine. Thanks to Stark's post everyone around the world now knew about Asgard and the existence of aliens.

Right at the moment Fury was dealing with the security detail at Area 51 over the phone. People had decided that a missing alien had to be being held at Area 51 and were determined to save him. Fury wasn't sure who he wanted to kill more, Stark or the Asgardian who sent these posters (most likely Thor). Of course aside from the people wanting to save the alien prince from Area 51, there were also riots all around the world as people panicked about the existence of aliens and the fear that they would be invaded. In all this was a complete f***up (still didn't beat the cat on the list though).

"Director another 5 buses just pulled up and joined the protesters outside, what do you want us to do sir?" Colonel Smith questioned

"Lockdown the building, code orange, no one in or out. If any of those protesters breach the building you have orders to shot Colonel." Fury ordered grimly. It had only been 6 hours since Stark posted and Fury knew things would only get a lot worse before they could get it under control.

This had to have been one of the worst weeks of his life. Siting behind his desk with an empty coffee cup on his desk and the trashcan filled with more of them, Fury tried to relax. It had taken 5 days but finally people were calming down. As much as he hated Stark for making this mess he also couldn't help feeling relieved that Stark had helped calm the populates down.

With Stark's reassures that Iron Man would be there to stop any invasions. As well as with War Machine working with the airforce they would be notified right away if anything entered their atmosphere. Thankfully people (mostly those in the U.S., but he wouls take what he could get) were no longer panicking after Stark's press conference. But of course, Stark being Stark couldn't take anything serious for to long and then made a joke about melting down those gold coins to make a pure gold suit. He then exclaimed how he would have to change his name to King Midas.

Sighing Fury prayed that there would be no more aliens until he retired, though he had a pretty bad feeling that this would not be the case. Leaning onto his desk Fury pulled up a file on his computer. Phase 2 glared back at him from the screen...
