Part 3
After breakfast, Olivia went through the motions of getting ready. Any semblance of peace that had been mustered was gone. Getting invited to a party at La Bon Nuit just like her nightmare? That couldn’t be a coincidence.
She remembered the dream so vividly. Who was that man and where did he come from? He certainly wasn’t from Riverdale.
If she’s learned anything from her Mama and The Serpents it was to protect your own. And thats exactly what she was going to do. Whether the threat was real or not was debatable but, regardless, she was gonna crack the case.
Lost in her thoughts she threw on a black peblum top with dark jeans and her signature red heels, gifted to her by Cheryl, of course. She wore her hair down in loose curls. It’s dark color being inherited from Toni. After some light makeup, she grabbed her books and headed over to Uncle Jughead and Aunt Betty’s to work on her project with Chloe. She didn’t know how she was gonna get through their schoolwork when all she could think about was her dream.

She arrived to the house and greeted Aunt Betty, who was tending to the garden out front, before letting herself in and heading up to Chole’s room. Chloe, Annie, and Olivia were the legacy of the most famous generation in Riverdale to date. The three grew up practically as triplets, all being born within the same year and the ladies teaming up as they discovered the twists and turns of motherhood together.
When it came time for Veronica and Cheryl to return to their respective businesses, Toni and Betty were able to transition most of their work remotely to share the responsibility of tending to the girls. Toni, being a photo editor, and Betty, being a journalist made working from home a lot easier as opposed to Cheryl, owning her own law firm and Veronica, owning and growing her several businesses. Annie; Veronica and Archie’s daughter; would go back and fourth between Betty and Toni for day care but every Friday the two would come together and share the duties meeting either at Thornhill or on Elm Street.

“Woah,” Chloe said when Olivia finally turned around to face her after shutting the bedroom door.
“What happened to you?”
The three girls could read each other like a book. And that’s exactly what Chloe was doing now. Olivia did a pretty good job of pulling herself together but Chloe could see right through her.
She stands, abandoning the open books on her bed and approaches Olivia. She puts her hands on her shoulders and looks directly into her eyes. Olivia was always one to bottle up, so when something was wrong the girls had to pry. Although it didn’t take much this time as Olivia’s eyes automatically pricked with tears at having been caught. She immediately crumbled into her best friends waiting arms and sobbed just as brokenly as she had the night before.
Once calm, Olivia began to mumble off her story. Explaining her dream, in detail, as well and how she wasn’t able to get back to sleep and then this mornings realization that it was starting to come true. By the end Chloe was sitting back on the bed while Olivia paced the room through her anxious storytelling.
“Okay, I know it was scary Liv, but that does mean it’s going to happen.” Chloe finally responded.
“But how do you explain the invitation to Aunt Ronnie’s party?”
“Aunt Ronnie is always throwing parties! Plus, we’ve known everyone in this town since we were kids. You said you’d never seen this man before, so he wouldn’t be working at the club.”
Olivia let out a deep breath shaking her head.
“You’re right…you’re right, it’s silly”
She got out her books and the two finally got to work. An hour or so later they were joined by Annie who came with the message they’d all be having dinner at her house tonight. Sundays were always family dinner nights. Keeping the ‘chosen family’ together to catch up as though they don’t all see each other everyday.
After finishing the part of the assignment that they had to hand in the girls relaxed. Watching movies, laughing, and gossiping as they usually did. The weight of a Olivia’s dream rolling off her shoulders.
Aunt Betty came up a few times, bringing snacks and drinks to tide them over until dinner.
