Chapter One
Shenhe was doing her normal duties when she realized that the air was bitter.Which only meant one thing, danger.Shenhe quickly made her down Mt Hulao to investigate the scene.As she arrived she saw this woman who was wearing blue and carried a hydro vision.
She seemed seriously injured, but yet she continued to fight with all her strength.As soon as the threat was removed by the hydro user, she had started to lose her balance due to the serious injuries.Before Shenhe kne, the woman had blacked out and was falling off the edge next to her.
Shenhe thought fast and managed to save the woman and quickly made her way to Cloud Retainer.Shenhe didn’t know what exactly she was doing, but whatever made her decide to take her for aid must’ve had a reason for it.
Shenhe was only halfway there, but she could feel the woman's temperature rise fast.This caused Shenhe to hurry as quickly as possible with the woman in her arms.
Moments later she arrived at the location Cloud Retainer was at and immediately said
“Cloud Retainer, what must I do? This woman is having a terrible temperature and she’s incredibly injured.”
“You must care for this woman to bring her this far in a panic, especially when you're bound by your ropes and cannot show human emotion” said Cloud Retainer smiling.
Shenhe was flustered by this but continued to say “I just met her, there's nothing like that going on between us!” then whispered to herself “She is kinda cute though..” Shenhe was quick to cover her mouth and hoped Cloud Retainer did not hear what she said, but little did she know Cloud Retainer indeed had heard her.
Before long Cloud Retainer took the hydro user in and Shenhe bandaged up her wounds, but as she removed pieces of clothing to bandage them, she found horrible scars all over her body.Shenhe was worried even more and concerned than before but continued to bandage her and was making sure not to make the bandages too tight.
Many hours later the hydro user awoke, unaware of where she was and if she wasn’t when she woke. She is now weary. She quickly got up and saw the tall woman who had long white hair that turned into a braid halfway down, she also had a latex suit making her body look better as ever. The curves in her waist can clearly be shown.If the hydro user had to be honest she was already quite interested.
The hydro user tried to not stare for too long so she wouldn’t be caught for looking at the beauty.
Before she could speak the cryo woman was already in front of her and checked her temperature.The hydro user was confused and wondered why her body ached, but she couldn’t recall what happened and how she got here.
Soon enough the cryo woman introduced herself as Shenhe.The hydro woman liked the name then continued to say “Yelan, my name’s Yelan. Also Shenhe what happened to me? I can't recall a single thing and I feel like I just fell off a cliff or something.” then added in a whisper “I know what that feels like because it’s happened.” Shenhe couldn’t help but ask, “Before I answer anything, where did you get those scars?”
Yelan stood there in silence and sighed.Yelan then continued to say “They were battle scars, I got stuck in the chasm while I was in an endless loop and I found one of the remaining ayakshas, but he was long gone mentally so Xiao put him to rest.All though much was learned about the battle with the wolfhounds I can’t help but wonder, how hard did my ancestors really try? I mean so many died and yet they were the best warriors in the Chasm, so did they really try?Was it too hard for them? Could they not do it? Why do I have to be in their shoes.. I love the Chasm dearly, but will it too take my life away one day?.. Will I die being a ‘shadow’ ?..”
Shenhe thought to herself ‘That was a lot to take in..’ Shenhe hadn’t realized but Yelan had tears running down her cheeks.Shenhe was quick to tell Yelan “Hey, It’s okay.Everything's all right now, I’m also sorry for your loss..”
Without thinking Yelan clinged onto Shenhe. Yelan was quick to realize that she didn’t think about the comfort, knowing they just had met, but Shenhe didn’t pull away nor say ‘let go of me’ it’s more like she embraced the hug.
Shenhe was still shocked at the hug but she couldn’t help but embrace it a while longer.Yelan eventually let go and said “Thank you, Shenhe.” and all Shenhe could do was nod.Yelan continued to say “What did happen though?”
“It’s a long story, that’s for sure,” Said Shenhe. She then continued on to explain and Yelan wasn’t as questionable as Shenhe would’ve thought. Yelan replied with “This isn’t the first time I’ve nearly died.”
This made Shenhe question whether or not the woman was serious or not and gave her a confused look. Yelan couldn’t help but giggle at the confused look and thought to herself “She’s cute” It took her a few seconds to realize that she said that out loud.The only reason she realized is because there was a faint layer of blush on Shenhe’s face.
Shenhe called for Cloud Retainer and asked her if Yelan was well enough to go.
Cloud Retainer replied with “Yes, she may go but I seem to have these tickets down at Liyue but I have some business to attend to.So maybe you girls can go?”
Shenhe knew that Cloud Retainer was up to no good but Shenhe never declined an invitation.
Yelan fiddled with her dice nervously, she couldn’t tell why the cryo woman saved her and cared for her all though not even knowing her. Unless they met in the past and Yelan couldn’t remember.
Chapter Two
Moments later Yelan realized something. She had known someone in High School named Shenhe and back then Yelan had a huge crush on her, was this the same Shenhe she knew or was this a coincidence?
Yelan had then looked back through all the fun times Shenhe and Yelan had back in Highschool.They would sneak off and watch the sunset and late at night they would go out and eat at new restaurants every now and then, they were the best of friends back then and when Shenhe had to move Yelan made a promise not to forget her, and she didn’t.She thought about Shenhe day and night. Shenhe never left her mind.
She just wished Shenhe stayed longer because that very same week Shenhe moved was the same week Yelan was going to confess to her, but it seems she was very unlucky and she never got the chance too.
Shenhe was gave Yelan a small push then asked “Are you okay?” Yelan just replied with “Yeah, Yeah I’m fine some highschool memories just came up.”
It was nearly time to go, apparently Shenhe and Yelan lost track of time while talking and getting to know each other more.A few minutes later they were already in Liyue. They made it so quickly because Shenhe had picked up Yelan and carried her all the way there.
Shenhe wasn’t very fond of crowds so Yelan took the lead and tried to avoid them as much as possible.Before they knew it they were already at the location and if Shenhe had to be honest it was beautiful.The view was just right, the moon shined brightly in the sky and Shenhe was also very pleased to see that Yelan was having fun already. Shenhe couldn’t help but feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.She didn’t quite know what this feeling was, but surely Cloud Retainer would explain it to her later.
Yelan was asking herself all these questions then replying to herself with ‘no,no,no I can’t love someone I just met.. I strictly work alone..’
Yelan was frustrated, and she didn’t know how to deal with these emotions.
Shenhe was confused why she was having these romantic thoughts.Wasn’t she bound to not have any emotions?Shenhe couldn’t help but start to blush, she started to realize did she have feelings for this woman? Shenhe was quite flustered. Shenhe then realized the hydro woman's eyes were pretty, like really pretty, her body figure was quite nice and she was really kind even though they just met.
Yelan couldn’t help but stare into Shenhe’s eyes when she could.Shenhe’s eyes were just so beautiful she couldn’t help but stare.Yelan liked the cryo women’s personality even though she didn’t know what human emotions were and was bad at expressing herself.Yelan loved to see the glimmer in Shenhe’s eyes.Yelan loved the yellow mixed with the blue and it was mostly just the way Shenhe looked at her.
Yelan and Shenhe soon found themselves going around the festival and they happened to run into Lady Ningguang and Captain Beidou. Yelan gave Ninngguang a death stare signaling not to say anything stupid, but she ignored it.
“I see you brought your little date,” Said Ningguang. Yelan’s cheeks turned bright red and quickly replied “She’s not my date!” Beidou looked over at Shenhe and replied “Well, by the looks of it this cryo user here looks very flustered and red” Beidou giggled.
Yelan looked over and she was right. Shenhe's cheeks were bright red and it was very obvious with her snowy colored skin.Shenhe was very embarrassed so she said she'd be back and ran into the crowd.This is not like the Shenhe she knew. She must’ve overthought about something or maybe she panicked? Yelan couldn’t decide.She told Beidou and Ningguang bye and was on her way.
-One Hour Later-
Yelan was worried it has been an hour since she’s seen Shenhe.She’s looked everywhere, except for one place.Yelan hasn’t checked the mountains.
-Meanwhile With Shenhe..-
Shenhe honestly didn’t think Yelan would come looking for her. She thought to herself Why am I different from everyone else?Why can’t I be normal?.. Shenhe hadn't realized but she was crying, she didn't dare to question because of how upset she was.
Shenhe didn’t care about anything; she was lost in her thoughts, overthinking everything. Shenhe was hidden well in some ruins to avoid contacting anyone or monsters. She couldn’t help but bear the thought that she was alone.
-Meanwhile With Yelan-
Yelan had searched everywhere in the mountains except the ruins.Yelan used to go to the ruins to get away from everything, so she knew the ruins like the back of her hand.Yelan came to a stop once she heard crying.Yelan was quick to investigate and there she found was Shenhe. Shenhe had tears streaming down her cheek. Yelan hugged Shenhe and nearly startled her.
Shenhe was upset and said in a teary voice “I-I’m sorry I ran away..” and continued with “I-I thought y-you weren't coming to find me..”
Yelan couldn’t bear seeing Shenhe like this. She tightly hugged the woman and comforted her, eventually Shenhe’s tears came to a stop.Shenhe had also talked about her feelings for the hydro user and founded that she ‘liked’ Yelan. Cloud Retainer supported Shenhe through her decisions.
So Shenhe decided to confess, she couldn’t hold back anymore. “I like you,” Shenhe quietly said. Yelan replied “hm?” Shenhe’s cheeks were red.Yelan wasn’t prepared for what happened next.
Shenhe’s lips came to touch with Yelan’s. Shenhe said “I like you.” Yelans cheeks turned red immediately.”I-I like you too..” said Yelan. Shenhe was shocked to hear those words come out of Yelan’s mouth.
Yelan broke the silence and said “So..I guess we are dating now?”
Shenhe replied “I-I guess so” still shocked from the reply.Shenhe was excited to tell Cloud Retainer about the whole thing but Yelan recommended waiting.
Chapter Three
-Many Months later-
It has been months since the two became one and they were really happy with each other.They finally decided that today is the day they tell cloud retainer
The two made their way up Mt Hulalo, hand in hand.They were afraid of what Cloud Retainer may say, but therefore again Cloud Retainer always supported Shenhe for her decisions.
They finally made it to the top of Mt Hulalo, Cloud Retainer was in her usual spot.She was arched over the mountain watching the down below. Before anything was said Cloud Retainer turned around and greeted them both.
Shenhe and Yelan replied with “Hello”
Cloud Retainer stared at the two and asked “Is there something you girls would like to tell me?”
Shenhe looked at Yelan and Yelan looked at Shenhe awkwardly.Shenhe eventually blurted out “We are dating.”
Yelan sighed and shook her head to agree with the sudden speech.Yelan and Shenhe looked down embarrassed even though their relationship was quite obvious.
Cloud Retainer sat there for a moment but then congratulated the two and asked how long the girls have been dating.In which the two replied “Five months maybe six?”
Cloud Retainer sat there with wide eyes and said “Oh so this is why Shenhe has been acting odd recently” She said with a grin. Shenhe blushed and covered her face.Yelan giggled and looked at her with a smile.
Yelan couldn’t help but adore her, she was so cute when she was flustered.
Shenhe wanted to run away at this moment but she didn’t as her hand was combined with her lover’s hand. Shenhe just squeezed Yelan’s hand in hope for her to change the topic.
Chapter Four
Soon Yelan had suggested that they should leave since they did have plans to eat dinner with Beidou and her fiance Ningguang.
Moments later Shenhe and Yelan were in Liyue Harbor and were making their way to Wangshu Inn to meet up with Beidou and Ningguang .
Minutes later they were in Wanshu Inn and soon found Ningguang and Beidou seated at a table at the far left of the restaurant.
Yelan sighed and said “Here we go.”
Beidou waved as she saw Yelan and Shenhe approach.
In which Shenhe greeted them and said “Hello Beidou, Hello Ningguang how are you two doing? I feel like it's been forever since I’ve seen you guys.”
Ningguang had replied formally with “Ah yes, for my part I’ve been doing great, I try not to answer for Beidou but I’m pretty sure she’s been great. If I'm incorrect please correct me Beidou.”
Beidou then replied “Haha Ning you don’t have to answer for me, but yes, I have been doing great on my behalf.”
The waiter had finally arrived to take their order.
The waiter then said “Good afternoon, my name is Xiangling and I’ll be your waitress for today.”
Xiangling then continued to say “What would you guys like to drink?”
Yelan said she would take some dandelion wine, the others just got water.
Xiangling said “Alright your drinks will be out in a moment!”
Yelan and Shenhe looked at each other trying to communicate without saying it outloud, Yelan gave Shenhe a weird look which meant “When would be the right time to say?”
Shenhe gave her a hand signal which meant “When we are eating.” Yelan then nodded.
Beidou and Ningguang looked at each other oddly, they knew something was up, they just didn’t know what was about or so Yelan and Shenhe hoped.
Soon their drinks arrived, Xiangling then asked for what they would like to eat.
Shenhe had just asked for some Miso soup and Ningguang and Beidou decided to share a steak and Yelan…Yelan had asked for nothing.Yet Shenhe had ordered her food.
Later on Xiangling brought their dishes and said “Enjoy” before heading off onto the next customers.
Yelan was confused why Shenhe ordered her food. Yelan recalled eating earlier or well maybe a few days ago? Or was it a week ago? Yelan can’t remember.
Shenhe gave her a death stare and told her to eat. Yelan soon did the such due to the concerns of her soon-to-be wife.Yeah you heard it correctly. Yelan had planned to propose to her girlfriend on her birthday.
As the four ate Shenhe had brought up Ningguang’s and Beidou’s relationship which signaled to Yelan that It was time.
Shenhe had asked “How has your guy's relationship been? Anything new?”
Beidou replied with “Our relationship has been great. We plan on having a family in the future but if anything new has happened then no not really hah.”
Yelan had chimed in and then said “So uh.. we have something to tell you guys.”
Yelan had not noticed but Shenhe was squeezing her thigh in fear of judgment.
“So uh me and Shenhe are dating, and this is our fifth month dating..” Yelan said, continuing her sentence.
Beidou and Ningguang laughed and replied “Girls, we already know, we know what you did after the party at Beidous place.”
Shenhe had turned bright red, and Yelan was concerned. Yelan then continued “Did you follow us home to spy on us ?!?!”
Ningguang replied “It was Beidou’s idea, not mine.”
Shenhe was flustered and had put her head on Yelan’s shoulder slightly after to show she wanted to go home.
Yelan said “Well It was nice seeing y’all again. It seems like Shenhe wants to return home and rest.”
Then Yelan added “Don’t worry about paying, I’ll pay this time.”
Ningguang didn’t like the idea since she usually pays for their more expensive supper.The most expensive meal the four had was at a fancy cheesecake factory which ended up being $230 but she thinks it was worth it, but she nodded anyways at Yelan and waved to them goodbye.
Yelan then left Wangshu Inn and headed to their house. Shenhe was fast asleep when they had departed so Yelan had carried her home on her back. Yelan loved carrying Shenhe because It reminded her that she has someone to call her own.
Chapter Five
Yelan had arrived home and had set Shenhe in bed. Yelan walked to the kitchen and then made some tea to soothe herself.
Yelan often had trouble sleeping but usually Shenhe was there to cuddle her and comfort her until she was able to sleep, but this time Yelan had to figure it out for herself.
Yelan was making her favorite tea which was Jasmine Tea. She loved the bitter taste.
Before Yelan knew it was 3:00 in the morning, and she was still having trouble sleeping.Yelan was very tired but yet she couldn’t sleep, she craved comfort.
Yelan started to have a breakdown without realizing, she had found herself crying on the bathroom floor. She couldn’t help but scream a little but not so loud that it would wake Shenhe, or well she thought she was asleep.
Seconds later there was a knock on the bathroom door.Yelan wiped her tears away and said with a shaky voice “Y-yes?..”
In a soft tone Shenhe said “Hun..May I come in?..”
To which in response she heard the door open and Shenhe entered. Shenhe was quick to hug Yelan and pick her up.
This is what Yelan needed, she needed this comfort.Yelan started to sniffle as she wiped away her tears

Yelan hated to be so sensitive and crumble but her love was always there for her, even at her worst.This proves that Shenhe really does love Yelan and which is why Yelan’s love for Shenhe is so deep.
Shenhe had carried Yelan to bed and had cuddled her until soon she was fast asleep which she herself fell asleep soon after.
It was now morning time and Shenhe had awoken first due to her getting more sleep than Yelan, she had decided to make breakfast for her love. She had made some toast and eggs for her except she added a special little note on the side. Shenhe has left to go out and run some errands' ' in which she actually had gone to get Yelan a gift.
Yes, Yelan’s birthday was in four days and Shenhe was planning to surprise her but little did she know that Yelan had plans for her as well..
-Meanwhile with Yelan-
Yelan had awoken to the bright sunlight around eleven.Yelan had soon figured out Shenhe was nowhere to be seen, but she had discovered the note.
In the note it said “Dear Yelan, I have headed out to run some errands and I’ll be back shortly, your breakfast on the kitchen counter. I hope you enjoy your meal. I love you hun, I’ll see you shortly!”
To admit Yelan was a bit upset Shenhe was going to be gone for a while, but she did appreciate the note at least she knew where she was.
Yelan had headed to the kitchen and grabbed her breakfast and ate it with a smile. She was very grateful to have Shenhe in her life. She smiled everytime she remembers she’s her’s or even knowing Shenhe made Yelan smile, everything about Shenhe brought a smile to herself.
-Meanwhile with Shenhe-
Shenhe was on her way to her final stop at the jewelry store to buy Yelan a necklace for her birthday, but as she entered the store her eyes immediately shifted to a blue sapphire necklace.
It had sapphire stones in each slot there was on the necklace.In total there were twenty-five slots on the bottom row and fifteen on the top row. Shenhe remembers Yelan pointing this necklace out and saying she wished she had it, but back then it was too expensive for her.
The cost of the necklace is $20,000 but Shenhe didn’t mind-she was now really well-off and Shenhe is old enough to decide when she wants to spend her money and where she wants to spend her money.
Shenhe bought the necklace then headed to a shop to get a small box she can wrap it in.Shenhe had found this box that was most likely only 6 cm by 6cm it was big enough to fit the necklace so Shenhe added it to the cart, she had also bought this beautiful wrapping paper and put that in the cart as well.
She then headed to the cash register and paid then exited the building quickly. In the car Shenhe beautifully wrapped her beloved’s gift and put a red bow on the top making it look professional.
Shenhe then headed back to the house to see her lover again.
-Meanwhile with Yelan-
Yelan had been sitting on the couch and trying to figure out what to do, she was really bored. Yelan had to admit it was pretty lonely without her lover, but she supposes she can handle it until Shenhe is back.
Yelan heard a door open and suddenly she had gotten up and ran to see what it was.
There she was face to face with her lover, It was very obvious Yelan had missed her because Shenhe was immediately embraced with a hug. Shenhe had teased saying “Seems like someone really missed me” finishing it off with a giggle.
Yelan released Shenhe and sighed as her face was bright red with the tease.Yelan had asked Shenhe what that box was for, but Shenhe didn’t want her to know so she replied with “The box is for a friend of mine their birthday is coming up soon.” and to her avail Yelan believed her.
Shenhe got home late so she had decided to go to bed bringing Yelan with her in her arms.Yelan had fallen asleep on the couch shortly after their conversation and Shenhes arrival back.
Shenhe gently set Yelan in bed then hopped in bed as well, and with that Yelan and Shenhe were fast asleep.
Chapter Six
-On the day of April 20th-
Yelan had awoken early to get ready for work, she wasn’t very excited about this idea but she couldn’t call out now.Before she could leave to get up and get ready Shenhe had grabbed her arm and softly said “Stay..” Shenhe didn’t want Yelan to leave plus Shenhe had called her out of work for today so she didn’t have to go.
Yelan couldn’t do anything but lay back down, Shenhe’s strength was incredible too. Yelan preferred to lay back down then have her arm hurt from the grip.Yelan had softly replied back “Okay hun, but I do have work..” Shenhe giggled and replied “No you don't, I called you out of work. Someone took your shift for you. I thought you would appreciate the day off especially since it’s your birthday.”
Yelan was actually quite surprised by this; she had not expected Shenhe to call her out of work today, at most that was the thing she least expected from today.Yelan had decided to stay in bed and cuddle with her beloved.
Next thing Yelan knew was that it was morning and it was time to get up and start the day.Yelan got up and got dressed and prepared for the morning, afterwards she went to her room to grab a squared box from out of her safe and then put it in her pocket. Shenhe had left earlier to meet up with Ninggung and Beidou and honestly Yelan felt a bit lonely but god knows what their up too.
Yelan had then dressed up fancier than usual, which by that she wore a black suit and had a red flower inside her front pocket.Soon she had then headed to the resturaunt the four decided to meet at, by the time she arrived it was five in ther afternoon.Yelan had walked in and got the four a table.
Yelan had then sat down and messaged them in the group chat.She had said “I am at the restaurant now I'm just waiting for you three to arrive.” Yelan got no response.
Shortly after, Shenhe, Beidou, and Ningguang arrived. Shenhe was wearing a long black dress, and to be honest she looked very pretty in the dress. Meanwhile Beidou wore nothing fancy but she had worn a red dress that suited her style. Ningguang wore a blue orchid dress, the one she had worn at the Lantern Rite many years before.
Shenhe was very surprised to see Yelan dressed up so much.Usually Yelan would wear a blue dress with a die attached to the side, but it was different this time, she wondered what the special occasion was.
Shenhe had soon sat next to her beloved and Ninggunag did the same with her fiance.Soon the waiter arrived and took their orders for their drinks and their food.Yelan had ordered a steak and Shenhe had ordered Qingyin soup.Beidou had ordered spaghetti and Ninggunang ordered a fish fillet.Sea food wasn’t her specialty but she loved trying new things.
After twenty minutes of talking their food had arrived and now everyone was eating, after everyone ate Yelan had gotten on one knee to ‘tie her shoe’ everybody went silent and stared at the table, Ningguang and Beidou looked in shock as Yelan took a small box out of her pocket and as she opened it she said “Shenhe, I want to thank you for everything, you were always there for me even at my worst, you’ve always been there for me no matter what had happened between us so, Shenhe will you..marry me?”
Shenhe was crying, but this time they were happy tears. Shenhe almost immediately said “YES!!”
Ningguang and Beidou were so surprised to have witnessed this proposal and Shenhe couldn’t have been happier.
Yelan had slipped the ring onto Shenhe’s ring finger and then got up to hug Shenhe, after their long embrace Yelan and Shenhe’s lips brushed together.Everyone in the restaurant applauded them for this amazing moment.
Shorty after the two had sat down Shenhe had said “So is this why you were dressed up fancier than usual?”
Yelan giggled and replied with “Yes”
Ningguang and Beidou both at the same time had said “Congratulations” Then the two said “Jinx!” at the same time, once again. Then Beidou had finally been the first to say “Double Jinx!” before Ningguang could get the words out of her mouth.
Ningguang played the game fair so she stayed quiet until it was broken. Ningguang had given Beidou a death stare which had caused Beidou to quickly break the silence from her by saying her name three times.
Ningguang then said “I hate you so much, but at the same time I can never get enough of you.” As she gave Beidou a soft kiss on the cheek.
Beidou was flustered by this, but she tried to cover the blush that had formed on her face as Yelan and Shenhe laughed. Shenhe still couldn’t belive she was engaged now. She definitly had to tell her nephew about this!
Everyone had finished eating and were ready to pay, but it turns out someone had already paid for them. The four were confused when a icy blue haired boy appeared from around the corner.
Shenhe was confused how or when her nephew had appeared but the blue haired boy had soon ran up to Shenhe and hugged her. To the other three’s suprise Shenhe hugged him back.
Shenhe then turned to the three and said this is my nephew, his name is Chongyun.
Yelan was shocked, how come she neve brought him up? Yelan had said “Shenhe, why did you never tell me you had such a cute nephew?!?!”
Chongyun wasn’t used to being called cute, but he took it as a compliment.
Chongyun said “Congrats on your engagement! I will admit Yelan you did great with your words and trickery.” as he softly giggled. Yelan had said in reply “Well thank you. Also how come you know my name?”
Shenhe gave Chongyun a death stare but he had said it anyway. “Every Time I’ve met up with my auntie one way or the other she would always talk about you. She’d rather say things about your personality, how pretty you are or even how she wanted to get married to you.”
Yelan was quite surprised by these words but she realized Shenhe was very red and Yelan had giggled a bit at her. Chongyun looked at his auntie with a taunting grin.
Chapter Seven
Yelan had noticed Xingqui around the corner and smiled at him. Xingqui tried to hide his face most of the time, but this time he couldn’t avoid it, as Yelan had walked up to him.
Yelan had said “Hi Xing, whatcha doing here?”
Xingqui had replied “I heard you were coming here so I came to tell you Happy Birthday.. So Happy Birthday my dear sister hah-!”
Beidou Ningguang, Chongyun and Shenhe stared intently at Xingqui and Yelan and they all said “SISTER?!?!”
Shenhe was confused and shocked “You have a brother!?!?!”
Chongyun had said “Sorry to change the mood but uh so a funny thing, Xingqui is my boyfriend..”
Shenhe was so shocked at this moment that her jaw literally dropped.Yelan said “Well this is an awkward situation but uh Chongyun welcome to the family haha-”
Chongyun had said “Well thank you” with an awkward smile.
Beidou and Ningguang had decided to head home as they said their farewells and wished Yelan to have a great birthday and left. Xingqui and Chongyun had to leave since they had plans to go to a movie at six thirty which it was already six and it took twenty-five minutes to get there.
Shenhe and Yelan were now alone so they had decided to go home.
-When they arrived home-
Shenhe and Yelan had just walked through the front door and had headed to their room. Shenhe had grabbed the beautiful red box and handed it to Yelan.
Yelan had said “I knew it wasn’t for your friend!”
Shenhe had shrugged with a smile and told her to open it. Slowly Yelan opened the box and saw the beautiful sapphire necklace. Yelan’s eyes sparkled when she looked at the necklace. She remembered walking past it in the store and wanting it but she couldn’t afford it back then.
Yelan remembers how expensive it was and had said “Awe..Hun you didn’t have to get this for me, it was twenty thousand dollars..Let me pay you back please?”
Shenhe had then replied with “No, love it’s fine I want you to treasure this gift think of it as..a gift of my love. I choose to spend my money on it because I know you would love it.”
Yelan had looked at Shenhe and once again Yelan had pressed her lips against Shenhe's. It was a short kiss but Shenhe did appreciate the kiss.Shenhe smiled and Yelan did as well.
Yelan then broke the silence “Shenhe, I love you, I really do. I love everything about you. I love your smile, your hair, your eyes, your body figure and just everything about you makes me smile.Everyday I fall deeper and deeper in love with you. Just being around you makes my day ten times better, even the sight of you makes me smile. Shenhe do you want to be my lawfully wedded wife and get married? Do you want to be able to say the words ‘Till death do us part’ ?”
Shenhe was in tears. But she was smiling and she tightly hugged her lover and whispered into her ear “Yes, I would love too.”
-three hours later (9:00PM)-
Yelan had once again had troubles sleeping, but this time she was safe in her lover's arms. Shenhe had been holding on to Yelan ever since she had laid down to rest and honestly, Yelan loved this.
Yelan still couldn’t believe that she was now engaged to her girlfriend. She was so excited for what would happen in the future.
-In The Morning-
Shenhe and Yelan had planned to get married due to their deep love for eachother, so now they had to decide who to invite to their wedding. The first people to be marked to be there were Beidou, Ningguang, Xingqui, Chongyun and Cloud Retainer.
They had only planned to invite a maximum of twenty people so there were five invitations. Shenhe had decided to invite Aether which might end up in a mistake because back in the Chasm when they were stuck Aether had kissed Yelan not once, not twice, not even three times, but to the point Xiao and Yanfei thought they were dating.
Yelan didn’t want to say not to invite him because then Shenhe would ask why and Yelan really didn’t want to ruin their friendship.Especially because Shenhe would never dare to even think he’d do the such and she might even take his side, mostly because they’ve known each other longer than Shenhe has known Yelan.
Anyways, there were six invites. Yelan had decided to invite Yanfei, Hu Tao, Kazuha, Noelle, Klee(going to carry the rings), Ganyu and Keqing because they were some close friends to her.
The wedding was going to cost a lot of money but the two were well off enough to be able to afford it.
Yelan and Shenhe had agreed to have the wedding at Liyue beach at 5:30PM, just as the sun set.
Chapter Eight
-The Day Of The Wedding-
Yelan couldn’t wait for the marriage, though she comes to wonder. Was this too early?
It doesn't matter, not to her at least.If Shenhe didn’t want this she would've told Yelan..right?
Yelan immediately got rid of negative thoughts and got into her suit. She wore a black suit with a bow tie and a Glaze Lily was tucked in her front pocket.
Then she walked out. Everyone was hanging out and sitting in their seats.
The color scheme was white or black. Noelle had on a beautiful white dress and wore a flower crown made out of cecilia’s. Kazuha had worn a black suit as well as Chongyun had. Xingqui wore a white suit and Beidou and Ningguang purposely wore the exact same thing as each other, to which was a long black dress with a cut going down from the left thigh to the end of the dress.
Hu Tao wore a black suit since it was really close to her original outfit and Yanfei wore a plain white dress that ended at the knees.
Xiao wore nothing fancy, just a plain black suit with a white tie.
Aether on the other hand was being a show off. He wore a fancy black suit that most likely cost fifty grand and had a red rose in his pocket, not only that he also had brought many gifts for all the guests and Shenhe and Yelan.
Yelan was furious but she kept her cool, somehow. She was weirded out when Aether came up to her and asked her to dance with him, to which she replied no.
Aether seemed disappointed but continued to talk to her. Aether then dragged Yelan away from the scenery and pinned her against a wall.
Aether continued to say “If you tell anyone what happened in the Chasm I will murder you, beforehand I’ll watch you suffer for hours and only then will I end your misery. Awe, but don’t worry love, I’ll come with you!~ I’ll make sure me and you will be with each other for the rest of eternity~”
Yelan was petrified. She promised to keep her mouth shut and Aether had happily walked off. Yelan crumbled, It happened again.
Aether had not noticed but someone was lurking around the corner and heard it all. Yelan had not noticed until Noelle came to her and hugged her.
Yelan at first was startled then she embraced the hug.
Yelan had mumbled the words “N-Noelle?...”
Then Noelle replied with “Shh.. I’m here for you, what Aether did was wrong.. I can’t believe he would ever say something like that..”
Just then everybody had gathered up and the wedding was about to begin.
-With Shenhe-
Shenhe was scared about this, well more like she was embarrassed about it but at the same time she couldn’t wait.
Shenhe had on a long white dress with flowers all over it. To be honest it was gorgeous and Shenhe looked stunning in the dress.
Before Shenhe knew the wedding was beginning and Shenhe had chosen Cloud Retainer to walk her down the aisle.
It was time. Yelan took one of the stands up front near the paistor and then it began the music started playing and here came Shenhe.
Yelan’s jaw almost dropped because of how pretty Shenhe was and Yelan had never expected her to dress up so fancy, although it was literally their wedding.
Once Shenhe reached the stand-the paistor started to talk and before they knew it he was already at the “ ‘Any objections?’ part”
At first there was silence, and then, only then did someone hear a male voice shout “OBJECTION!”
Chapter Nine
Suddenly everyone turned around to see Aether. He didn’t want to let this happen. He only came to object. He wanted Yelan to be his wife. Not Shenhe’s wife.
Aether started screaming “I object to this wedding! I want Yelan to be mine, and ONLY mine. Shenhe you have no purpose here.So Yelan, will you marry me?~”
Yelan immediately yelled as tears started rolling down her cheeks “No! I will not marry you, not after what you did.. You took advantage of me and you made others think we were dating. You’re insane! You’re sick, you physco!”
Just then Aether summoned his weapon and was holding Yelan with a blade to her neck.
Aether smiled and giggled then said “Oh darling~ what did I say about telling?~”
Suddenly Aether froze he looked down to see that he was stabbed in the stomach. The puncture wouldn’t kill him but he was stabbed by his twin sister, Lumine who has been missing for millennia’s now..
Shortly after Aether was taken away and Lumine disappeared without a trace.
Many wanted to leave the wedding but they decided to finish it.
A few moments later it was time. Shenhe said “I do.” and then Yelan said the same, then their lips brushed against each other and everyone cheered and clapped their hands.
Then Klee had given the rings to the two and then Shenhe threw the bouquet in the air. You’ll never guess who caught it.. It was Chongyun!
Shenhe then jokingly said “When’s your wedding Chongyun and Xingqui?” then giggled.
Chongyun blushed and then Xingqui said “Soon enough” Then smiled and Chongyun had turned bright red just then.
Shenhe laughed and said “I’ll remember this and find a way to use it against you just like how you did with our chat about Yelan.”
Chongyun just stood there. Soon enough many had left and so did Xingqui and Chongyun. Now it was just Yelan and Shnehe.
Yelan went on to say “Well, that wedding was crazy-”
Shenhe then replied “Yeah, I never knew Aether could ever be that way…”
Yelan replied “Mhm.. Anyways, may we go home now, love?”
Shenhe had said “Yes, shall our adventure continue tomorrow.”
Chapter ten
(The End.. Or is it?)
Yelan woke up early in the morning to hear something outside. It was 6:00AM and Yelan went to check outside. When she opened the door Yelan’s mouth was covered with a cloth and she had passed out.
Shenhe heard the faint scream but didn’t have enough momentum to get up.
-Two Hours Later-
Shenhe woke up and realized that Yelan was gone. Which was odd because usually she was still asleep when Shenhe awoke… Shenhe looked for anything that would give her an idea of where she is or where she went.. Shenhe found nothing. She then headed to the Jade Chamber in hopes to find her lover.
Ningguang was sitting in her office talking to Beidou when Shenhe rushed in. Shenhe immediately said “Ningguang, Beidou. Do you know where Yelan is?!?!”
Ningguang looked confused and shook her head. Shenhe started tearing up and said with a shaky voice “I-I think Aether took her..”
Beidou dropped her drink and shouted “WHAT?!?!”
Ningguang immediately called the guards to search for the two and if anything was heard, it should be reported ASAP.
Shenhe was having a panic attack, she couldn't breathe and she was tearing up like no other.
Ningguang and Beidou never thought about how close the two were until now, it seems that all they ever do is hang around each other. Well besides when they’re working.
-With Yelan And Aether-
Yelan woke up and couldn't see, she tried to speak but she couldn’t. Her entire body aches. Everything burns..
“Oh~ I see your awake darling!” said Aether
Yelan tried to muffle something but Yelan couldn’t, something was stopping her from speaking.Then whatever had stopped her from speaking was removed by Aether.
“You’re sick! You’re literally a physcopath! Let me go!” were the first words out of Yelan’s mouth.
Just then Yelan felt a sharp pain in her thigh. Aether had used a whip and hit her thigh.
“Ow you ba-” Then she was hit again and again and again. For 10 minutes straight she went through this pain. She could feel the blood dripping down her legs and her arms from where he had hit her.
“Have you learned your lesson?” said Aether.
Yelan stayed silent then muffled “No wonder your sister left you..”
Aether was furious with this. He beat her for the next four hours. Yelan was in tears, her entire body ached, everything burned. She felt dizzy and nauseous. Soon enough Aether left her there.
Yelan though this is how i’ll escape. Yelan used her mouth to bite off the ropes on her wrists, then removed the ropes from her ankles. Lastly she took off the blindfold.
She didn’t go through the main door. It would be too obvious. So she found a small window. It was big enough to let her through though.
Yelan got out, she could barely walk, but she had to get back to her lover. Yelan ran as fast as possible to the Jade Chamber. She didn't care about the opened wounds that were revealed.Since really all she was wearing was a T-shirt and some shorts.
Yelan made it to the Jade Chamber coughing out blood, but she was alive, that's all that matters. Yelan stumbled in and saw Ningguang, Beidou and her lover.
Beidou’s eyes widened. “Yelan are you okay?! Jesus what did he do to you?!?!?”
Ningguang and Shenhe had then realized Yelan.
Shenhe was furious with Aether and wanted to kill him for what he did, but she didn’t.All that mattered to her right now was her lovers safety.
Shenhe carried Yelan in her arms to the BuBu Pharmacy and yelled “Baizhu?! Baizhu?!”
Just then Baizhu walked out and said “What is it for you to yell for m- Oh my god.. Is she okay?! Quickly hand her to me. I'll treat the wounds.”
Shenhe handed Yelan to Baizhu and Baizhu took her to a room. Baizhu then started to clean the wounds. It burned a lot but Yelan was already in pain.
After Baizhu cleaned her wound, he then bandaged them up. He didn’t make the bandaging too tight, but tight enough so it wouldn’t fall or tear off.
Then Baizhu assigned her pain relief pills and sleeping pills(Since she had troubles sleeping already.)
Baizhu then carefully handed Yelan to Shenhe and handed her some crutches.
Baizhu said “She might need them if she can barley walk already, thankfully nothing is broken. She’ll most likely be on crutches for the next few weeks or so.”
Shenhe smiled and handed him ten grand as a thanks of gratitude then left.
Shenhe made it to the Jade Chamber with Yelan still in her arms and said “Ningguang, Beidou, She’s going to be okay. Nothing is broken she’ll need to take off work for the next few weeks though. So I’ll be at home with her, is that okay Ningguang?”
Ningguang sighed in relief that she was okay and nodded her head giving the two the next few weeks off.
Shenhe and Yelan had then headed home. Yelan was still passed out due to blood loss but she should wake up in the next few hours.
Shenhe had laid Yelan in bed and made her some tea when she awoke. It would relieve some of the pain. Shenhe knows this because it’s Jinyun tea.
She always would drink it. It soothed Shenhe's throat when it was swollen due to training.So it should work with Yelan.
-A Few Hours Later-
Yelan woke up. Her body still ached but not as much anymore, Yelan sat up and found herself in her house.Yelan looked around for Shenhe, but couldn’t see her. So she managed to mumble out “D-arling? W-he-re a-re yo-u?”
Shenhe immediately rushed into the room and said “My goodness you are awake.. I was worried sick.Ningguang and Beidou were too. I made you some tea, it’ll relief the pain a little and Baizhu also gave you some medications that’ll help. He gave you sleeping medication and pain relievers.”
Yelan couldn’t move but she motioned Shenhe over to her and mumbled out “I lo-ve y-ou”
and brushed her lips against Shenhe’s. Shenhe could never be happier. She was glad Yelan was alive.
In the next few hours Yelan started to feel a little better. Shenhe had called Xingqui and Chongyun about the situation. Before long Xingqui and Chongyun rushed in the room and said “Is she okay?!?”
Yelan said “I-’m fi-ne. I ju-st hav-e so-me troub-les sp-eak-in-g.”
Xingqui was furious with Aether and said “If I ever find him, he’s dead meat.”
Chongyun nodded and said “I hope your recovery goes well.”
Yelan and Xingqui had a small conversation and Chongyun talked to Shenhe about the situation and then left in determination to find Aether..
