Chapter 11
Tony's Pov
It's been a couple of days since Stephen showed me the library. The first day I spent hours in there looking at all of the books to see what I should read first. After a while, I decided to read Hamlet just to start with. When I was done with that book I swapped it for a book called pride and prejudice which I was returning now.
As I entered the library I saw Christine there. She was cleaning up a table "hello Christine" I greeted she greeted me back "hey". I was putting the book away as well as looking for a new one to read I ask "do you know where Stephen might be?" Christine looked thoughtful before answering "try the gardens he's usually there as this time".
I nodded while picking up another book with the title of 'My gaurdien angel'. I thanked her as I walked out of the door and towards the gardens.
Walking up to the garden I saw Stephen there doing some gardening. It seems that he hasn't noticed that I was in the garden. So I crept up behind him and shouted "Boo!" Which made Stephen give out a little "ahh!". He turned around to me "why did you do that" he asked me with a little pout I shrugged "to see what your reaction was" I said. Stephen pout got even bigger as I said that God he was so cute.
"Anyway what are you doing here?" Stephen asked me. I scratch the back of my neck "um I wanted to spend some time with you" I say to him feeling my neck heat up a little. He looked a little shocked that I said this "you want to spend some time with me?" He asked "why wouldn't I" I question "Well I've been told that once I get into something I don't respond so I'm not good company" Stephen said.
I chuckle then said " I'm exactly the same so I don't mind" as I sat down I added, "Once Pepper had to bang on a table to get my attention because I was so emerged in a book". I chuckled at the memory Clint tease me about it for a while. Stephen smiled and went back to what he was doing before.
When he smiled it gave me butterflies and I blushed a little. For hours we just sat there in silence with a few convocations here and there. I would also hear Stephen mumble to himself it would be something about gardening.
"What are you reading?" Stephen asked making me jump a little. I was so lost in thought that I didn't realise he was next to me. The last time I looked up he was still working on the Tulips. "It's called My guardian angel," I say closing the book to show him."Anthony I wanted to ask you something" Stephen said nervously I put the book down.
So I could give him my full attention. "What is it?" I ask him "I was wondering if...if you wanted to have dinner with me" Stephen continued fidgeting with his hands. "Like a date?" I asked "yeah," he said scratching his neck. "I would lov-I mean like that," I say trying not to sound too eager "Great I'll pick you up in an hour," he said before walking away.
I headed to my room so I could get ready. Once I was in my room I went for a bath because I somehow got dirt on me. After the bath, I walked to the wardrobe to see what I could wear. I stopped when I saw a suit on the bed.
It was a red 3 piece suit with a black tie and black dress shoes. I didn't question where it came from since the castle was enchanted. Just as I put on my shoes there was a knock on the door. I open the door to see Stephen in a simple blue 3 piece suit with a black tie and brown dress shoes.
He looked quite handsome a blush came across my face. "Are you ready?" He asked me holding his hand out towards me. I took his hand and said "yeah" then we headed to the dinner hall.
