The Will
Odin handed a scroll to one of the guards while the other guard held a large golden lock-box with intricate designs on its exterior. Odin made a move to sit down, but the glare Clint gave him quickly stopped that action in its tracks. He instead stood a bit to the side of the Avengers.
"The Last Will and Testament of Frigga, Queen of Asgard." The guard with the scroll read. "To Odin: A word of advice, do not imprison or banish any more of your family. You are causing a divide in this family and I ask you to sincerely look back on your actions and see how wrong some of them were."
Tony, Loki, and Thor sniggered at Odin's "advice" from Frigga. Odin frowned like a petulant child and glared at those who had laughed.
"To Thor, I give you Ósk." The other guard took out a little amulet with a red gem in the center from the golden box. Thor and Loki examined it. "Ósk is a wish amulet. It can be used once every moon cycle. Use it well." Thor looked at it with delight.
"And finally to Loki, my son." Loki looked up from the amulet. "My son, I know how hard these past couple of years have been for you. I am glad to hear you have made friends on Midgard. I also want to apologize for lying to you for all of these years. You are not a monster Loki, you are my son. Never forget that. I want you to know I will always love you no matter what." Silent tears were filling in Loki's eyes."To you, I give you a letter I wrote to you during your banishment and all of my other worldly possessions. I also give you 10 of idunn's apples to do with what you wish. I love you ~Mum"
The other guard presented Loki with the box but did not open it. Thor and Loki looked at the box, dumbfounded. Odin glared at them with fire in his eyes before going to the balcony and calling for Heimdall. No answer. He tried again. This time there was an answer, but not the one he wanted to hear. He stalked back inside and informed the guards of the situation.
Clint stood up. "Why aren't you guys gone already?" Clint asked, growing more irritated by Odin's presence by the minute.
Odin sighed exasperatedly, "There has been a problem with the Bifrost. Heimdall said it should be easy to fix but he won't be finished until tomorrow night."
Now everyone else sighed. "So what you're saying is you're stuck here until tomorrow?!" Steve asked.
"I am afraid so," Odin said, not at all apologetic.
Tony got up and walked towards Odin. "Then we have to set some ground rules. 1. You don't get to have access to any of my alcohol. 2. You are a guest here, so don't go trashing anything. 3. You are not the goddamn king around here, so stop acting like one. Kapeesh?"
Odin was seething. He nodded curtly and went to find his room. Loki and Thor were staring at the contents of the box. There was a letter and then 10 golden apples surrounding it. Tony reached in and picked up one of the apples ." So what's so special about these apples. I mean yeah they are golden but is that it?" Thor plucked the apple from Tony's hand and placed it carefully back in the box before shutting it.
"These are Apples of Idunn. They are apples of immortality, or rather, extended mortality. It makes someone's lifespan extend by 5000 years" Loki explained. Everyone stared at the box. They eventually decided to store them away in Loki's room until they figured out what to do with them, considering they never rot. Loki didn't have the strength to read the letter just yet, so soon after her death.
The friends all had dinner together that night (unfortunately Odin decided to join too, but they just ignored him) and watched a movie. Afterward, when they were all going to bed, Odin asked," Where is Loki staying?" Everyone gave him a questioning look., except for Loki who rolled his eyes.
Nat asked, "Why, so you can kill him in his sleep?"
"No, I merely wanted to know where he is staying so I know whether I should sleep with one eye open."
Nat retorted," You definitely should, but I wouldn't be worried as much over Loki killing you. The rest of us are what you should be worried about." And with that, the friends went to bed after their very, VERY tiring day.
The next morning the friends were all eating breakfast, trying to decide what songs they want to play at the upcoming concert. Odin walked into the room, scowling at Loki, and then strutted to the couch like he owned the place. The friends stared at him for a minute before continuing their conversation. They all finished their breakfast before getting up and heading to the elevator. Odin looked up from where he was sitting and looked at them curiously, but he didn't say anything. Thor noticed the expression and asked, "Is something wrong?"
The friends groaned.
"No, just wondering where you are going."
"To band practice, you may join us if you so wish."
Loki elbows him hard in the stomach.
"What?!" Thor asks as he turns around. Everyone is giving him death glares.
"Yes my son, I would be happy to join you." Odin interrupts before heading towards the stairwell, seeing as the elevator is already full.
Loki growls and clenches his teeth. Tony leans over and whispers something in his ear which makes Loki smirk at the inventor.
They all arrive in the band room and go to their respective instruments. Tony whispers something to the rest of the group and they all get similar smirks to Loki on their faces. Loki grabs the microphone and nods to Tony who gives the signal to the rest of the group to start.
Loki turns his head back around and stares Odin directly in the eye as he starts singing.
I don't like your little games
Don't like your tilted stage
The role you made me play
Of the fool, no, I don't like you
I don't like your perfect crime
How you laugh when you lie
You said the gun was mine
Isn't cool, no, I don't like you (oh!)
But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!
Odin looked like he had gotten a taste of rotten lemons in his mouth.
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Loki glared at Odin as he remembered the funeral.
I don't like your kingdom keys
They once belonged to me
You ask me for a place to sleep
Locked me out and threw a feast (what!?)
The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama
But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma
And then the world moves on, but one thing's for sure (sure)
Loki stepped right up to Odin's face.
Maybe I got mine, but you'll all get yours
But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time (nick of time)
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time (I do it all the time)
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Loki let his Jotun form take over and Odin looked at him with wide eyes.
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
Loki pretended the pick up a phone.
"I'm sorry, the old Loki can't come to the phone right now"
"Why? Oh, 'cause he's dead!"
Those few words made Odin scowl even harder.
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Odin was fuming. Tony cackled and high-fived Loki, who had a huge smirk on his face.
"Oh, so this is all MY fault is it now?!"
Clint was the one that answered. "Uhhhh.... yeah. Duh."
"I rescued him when he was a baby! I made that sacrifice! He has always been an ungrateful swine!"
Natasha was now the one who was fuming. "Exactly! You took him in! Loki always wanted your approval and he never got it! You always made him feel unwanted and useless! You-"
"He is unwanted and useless! Always has been always will be!" Odin interrupted.
You have to have some nerve to interrupt an angry Natasha.
She punched him in the face and twisted his arm behind his back painfully. Tony walked up to him shaking with anger and growled, "Get...Out... Now."
"No, I am a King you cannot force me out of here!"
"Can't I?" Tony told him as the Hulk grabbed Odin by his neck and smashed his way outside, his friends following close behind. They made their way to an empty alleyway, getting a few curious glances from passer-by's.
The Hulk smashed Odin into the ground multiple times, before grunting, "Puny god no hurt Loki." Natasha went over and stroked his hand to calm him down. In less than a minute he reverted back to Bruce. Loki teleported them back to the Tower, leaving Odin as a crumpled mess in a random alley in New York.
When the group arrived back at the Tower, JARVIS was already starting to repair the hulk's damage.
They all sunk into the living-room couch and sighed. There was a short silence before Clint spoke up. "He was wrong you know." He turned to Loki, "You have us."
Loki smiled at him. "Thank you." Then Loki thought of something.
"Question: What were all of those lights and decorations out on the streets for?"
Tony's eyes widened comically. " Oh my God, I forgot you two don't know about Christmas!"
Loki and Thor looked at each other, eyebrows furrowed. "About what?"
