JeAmber (Jean/Amber)
Amber strode towards Jean’s office- there shouldn’t be any more meetings for her… hopefully. If there are, she’ll stay with Jean for as many as she can! But anyway, the point is that Jean should have finished work by now, and she’d really like to see her!
The last time they’d seen each other, Jean was apologising for missing their date. She said there was an urgent matter she needed to be present for and Amber… couldn’t blame her. She’d seen the workload and wished she could help her with it… but she was just an Outrider. The Outrider.
Amber opened the door, a bag on her back and two hot chocolates in her hands. And upon seeing Jean gently asleep, an adoring smile crept upon her face. Amber always prepared for if Jean ended up being asleep, like covering her with the warmest blanket she could find in the clutter of her bag, along with something to keep drinks warm.
She’d lay her head on the desk beside Jean, careful as to not awake her, and share the blanket with her being as close as possible. She’d give her the gentlest of embraces, ensuring sweet dreams and affection. She’d lift Jean’s head slightly to let a small yet supportive pillow burrow itself beneath her, protection against the hard and cold wood of her desk- she’d do this for herself too, of course. She’d feel her eyelids flutter closed, and she’d know everything would be okay because she was with the love of her life.
Because she was with Jean.
