Job

"I... Hate her," Rosina said with downcast eyes, as if she admitted to doing something shameful. "I know I shouldn't, hate is ugly but I just can't help it!"

"The feeling of burning from your chest that just makes you want to hurt, you understand right?"

Katarina gave her a patient smile, setting down her notepad and un crossing her legs, she spoke with confidence.

"Hate isn't ugly, it's a completely normal emotion everyone feels. Hate is something that you can't help, but do you know what you can help? How you act with that hate, "

Katarinas schedule for that day only had two patients, Rosina Parks who she has suspected might be suppresing her emotions and James Dickens, who seems to have unprocessed childhood trauma.

She wrote down her temporary diagnosis on her clinic provided notepad, (which had a very cute design despite coming from a hospital.) After that she looked towards her office windows.

The sun had set and the moon was already rising on the horizon, a beautiful mix of violet and pink painted the sky as the faint shimmer of stars could be seen.

She looked down as cars that passed by a puddle and drenched a poor, unfortunate soul, while their friend laughed at them while handing them their jacket, a mother and daughter smiling while holding hands, an old couple sitting down next to each other in a bus stop, shoulder to shoulder, Office workers who clearly just got out of work, and families who are going out to get dinner.

Katarina sighed as she remembered just how much she loved the world and it's people. At its core, the reason she got this job was because of this.

Dreaming off into her own world, she doesn't hear the quiet click of a door nor the footsteps in the room.

"Katarina, could you handle this?" Yume, her boss said while handing her a document. Sparing a glance inside she immediately shook her head no.

"I'm sorry, but you know a therapist can't perform therapy on a friend."

"Oh shit you have friends?"

Katarina let out a loud cough, her boss's switch in a professional to un professional caught her off guard.

"Excuse me, I have a life outside of the clinic," Katarina pouts, to which Yume pinches her cheeks. "How'd you think I got a kid? Anyways, can't you do it yourself?"

"I would but," Drawling out the u, Yume takes back the files. "I don't wanna." Her boss's childish personality always threw Katarina in for a loop.

"Alright then, I'm going now," Yume said as she gently closed the door, leaving Katarina alone in her office.

Sighing in resignation, she decided to go home now before Yume had a chance to bug her again.
