When Natasha woke up she heard the sound of the tv on indicating that Loki was up and she didn't know how he managed not to wake her up since she was such a light sleeper but she had to admit she had gotten the best sleep she had in weeks it was blissful and sweet and nothing like any sleep she had gotten before there was no dreaming just blissful, peaceful nothingness and she loved every bit of it. When she finally got her eyes to adjust she saw that Loki was at the end of the bed watching Spongebob Square pants and was wearing the clothes she brought him last night.
"Someone looks handsome this morning," Natasha said to Loki which caused him to giggle as he turned to look at her she could see that his checks were tainted pink from blushing at her comment.
"Good morning Mommy," Loki said with a smile
"Good morning. Who helped you get dressed?" Natasha asked sitting up and stretching
"Miss Maya. Auntie Maria brought you clothes and breakfast but it's cold now." Loi said as he moved a strand of black hair out of his eyes
"I'm going to go get dressed," Natasha told Loki, who nodded his head and turned back to his cartoons. Natasha picked up the clothes Maria bought for her and stepped into Loki's bathroom, and hopped in the shower letting the cold water wake her up. Natasha came out of the bathroom 30 minutes later dressed in a black v-neck shirt and black jeans and a leather jacket she wasn't surprised to see Maria in the room with coffee in hand and she was starting to think Maria was going soft she wasn't the type to like being around kid but with Loki, it was a different story. "I brought you coffee," Maria said passing Natasha the hot coffee everything she needed to start her morning which Natasha took a big sip of she found that it was black like she liked it but it wasn't as strong.
"What are you actually doing here?" Natasha asked as she raised her brow in question to Maria
"I came to make sure my friend was okay." And right off the bat, Natasha knew she was lying
"Really? So it has nothing to do with the little boy sitting on the bed right there." Natasha said pointing to Loki who was not paying attention to them but to his show that Natasha thinks is Yo Gabba Gabba she didn't know.
"Fine it is because of him he's extremely cute. Makes you wonder what went wrong with him." Maria said and Natasha had been thinking the same thing but she didn't know if this was truly how Loki acted when he was a child or if it was just the memory changes, just then the door opened to reveal Dr.Mills and Natasha blood boiled at the sight of him she really wanted to scream and shout at him maybe even kill him but she composed herself since Loki was present.
"Dr.Mills." Natasha said coldly and glaring icy glares at the doctor along with Maria who was not pleased with what Dr. Mills had to tell Loki yesterday.
"Good Morning Agent Romanoff, Commander Hill. Loki can be discharged today you just have to fill out the papers and you can all be on your way." Dr. Mills said smiling and god did Natasha and Maria wanted to wipe the smile off his face and make him be the next one to need medical attention.
"Can I talk to you outside Dr. Mills?" Natasha said and it wasn't in a tone that gave him much of a suggestion because even if he didn't want to Natasha would still 'talk; to him,
"Sure, Agent Romanoff." Dr, Mills said as he opened the door for Natasha who growled as he kept that stupid smile on his face.
"What do you want to talk about?" Dr. Mills said when they were a safe distance from Loki's hospital room.
"I wanna know what gave you the right to ask Loki about his father?" Natasha growled at Dr. Mills.
"I didn't mean to upset him-"
"You had no right talking to him about anything that included me or anything about my personal life and you definitely didn't have a right to talk to him about his father and where the hell he has been," Natasha said before disappearing back into Loki's room not giving Mills time to responded she didn't want to hear his pathetic excuse she didn't have time for the bullshit or wanted to waste any time on Dr. Mills.
When she entered Loki's room she had a smile plastered on her face she didn't need Loki worrying about anything that he didn't need to concern himself with he was a child and need to worry about things children worry about not what's going on with the parent or there love life and this was Loki second chance until they could find a cure.
"You went Mama-bear on him didn't you?" Maria said with a grin from where she was sitting with Loki's, hands threading through his hair as he watched the shows not even acknowledging Natasha or Maria but he was slightly leaning on her as she ran her hands through his hair.
"I might have. Where is that goddamn paperwork?" Natasha asked the sooner she could get out of the hospital and the dreaded hospital room the better she would feel more relaxed and calm. She really hated hospitals not only because of her past with doctors but because of how annoying and irritating the medical was and they wouldn't leave her alone.
"Don't worry I already filled it out. I also took the liberty to make him some documents in case anyone goes around asking especially here they are already running rumors. Fury is having FitzSimmons work closely with Bruce and Stark to find a cure for this." Natasha knew it was better to keep this quiet even if Loki started working with the good guys didn't lessen his enemies and he had a lot in Shield who were always waiting for the right chance to take him down when he least expected but Loki was always on guard and never expected anything but betrayal from everyone around him that's one of the other reasons they got close it was their lack of trust in others.
"Thanks, Ria I owe you," Natasha said she owed a lot to Maria and Clint. They were her closest friends, people she would trust with her life and soul.
"You can reward me by having me babysit this munchkin," Maria said as she placed a kiss on Loki's check if Natasha wasn't careful she was sure Maria would kidnap Loki and never give him back but on the bright side she had a babysitter that liked Loki and she knew he would be safe in Maria's care.
“Come on little обманщик it’s time to go home. Say bye to Auntie Maria.” Natasha told Loki as she helped him down from the bed and turned off the tv,” Bye Auntie Maria. You’ll come to see me right?” Loki questioned Maria trying to look serious but he just looked more adorable.
“Of course I will,” Maria said as she ruffled his hair.
“If you don’t I know where to find you,” Loki said
“I’m sure you do kiddo.” Maria said smiling at Loki who nodded his head grasping Natasha's hand,” We can go home now Mommy.” Loi said looking up at her,”Yeah we can go home. Bye Maria.”
