Summary
Clint gets mad with Tony over not helping them create a time machine. He asks Tony who he lost, not know who Peter is - or rathe, was. This is not very compliant with Endgame, but it kinda can be.

"Who did you even lose Tony?! We all lost people Tony! And you sit here, with a daughter, and a wife, and people who love you! My wife is dead! And my daughter and my sons are too! And yet you sit here like you know our pain?! Everyone in this room lost someone! Nat you tell him. Who'd you lose?" Clint scrame.

"Well…" Nat seemed to hesitate to speak. She side-eyed the man staring at the table. "I lost Wanda, we all did, but she was like my little sister. And. Now she's gone…" The red head trailed off with tears in her eyes.

"I lost Bucky, and Sam." Steve piped up from across the room.

"We lost half my people. Oh, and Thanos snapped my brother's neck too!" Thor slurred, obviously drunk.

"I lost my girlfriend!" Scott piped in too.

Soon everyone in the room was mentioning someone they lost in the snap. All Tony could do was stare at the table where he sat.

"So Stark, got anything to say for yourself?" The chatter cut off with Clints piercing voice. Oh, if looks could kill Tony would be with Peter.

Peter…

I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go, Mr. Stark! I'm sorry!

Tears dripped down the billionaires face. They landed on his hands where they lay on the table. Suddenly he was brought back to the present.

Tony opened his mouth to speak for the first time in so long.

"He didn't want to go. He begged me not to go." Tony let out a small laugh. He looked around to the other heroes. Tears streamed down his face. There was a collective gasp at the broken man in front of them.

"He felt it before it even happened. Freaking sixth sense, haha. He started dusting, but it wasn't like the others. He didn't fade. First it was his legs, he stumbled into me, begged me not to let him go. Then it was his torso, it looked like his body was being torn apart and turned to dust. He apologised before the rest of him faded. And then he was gone. Nothing but ashes and memories and- and- and I couldn't save him…" Tony looked straight into Clints eyes.

"I had one son. Only one, and he died in my arms. As I helplessly watched, promising that he'd be fine. And then he died apologising. He was the oNLY SON I HAD!! AND I LET HIM DIE!" Tony yelled at Clint, standing from his chair, leaning with his hands on the table.

"Tony, we didn't know.." Steve stayed from the other side of the room.

"I lost the kid Steve, his name was Peter, he lived in Queens with his Aunt. His aunt died in a car crash after the initial snap. Me and Pep went, we were the only ones there. He likes Star Wars, and Disney, and Science. He is a genius, and is super stubborn." Tony gushed about the now gone boy.

"He's going to do great things some day, I know it. He already has! Hell! My kid's spiderman! He's the, the, the… He was the greatest." The present tense faded from the man's words, replaced by the past.

Happy took this moment to enter the room and see how things were going. Obviously not well by the scene in front of him.

"Oh god, Hap, I miss him!" Tony wailed, falling into the man.

"I know Tones, I miss the little squirt too. Even his over the top mumbling. It's not the same without him." Happy soothed the man.

The other Avengers in the room didn't know what to do. They just slowly backed out of the room, preparing themselves for a Pepper Scolding™️ later that day.
