Chapter 1
“So tonight we’re going to play a game of “Name Your Celeb”, alright?” James Corden’s voice sounded in the large studio and Sebastian nodded, albeit confused.
“What happens is, I’m going to name a category of person, and you’re going to name the first celebrity that comes to mind. It’s going to be a speed game too, so be quick. So if I said idiotic, you’d say…” James motioned for Sebastian to finish his sentence.
“Anthony Mackie.” Seb’s face was serious but quickly broke into a laugh. “Ok, ok. I get it. Let’s go.” Sebastian sat back in his chair and waited for James to begin.
“Talented.”
“Samuel L Jackson.” A murmur of agreement from the crowd.
“Funny.”
“Jim Carrey.”
“Kind.”
“Paul Rudd.”
“Celebrity crush.”
“Y/N Y/L/N.” The crowd went dead silent for a second and then erupted into applause and cheers. Sebastian’s face dropped before he nervously smiled. After the crowd settled down James looked at Sebastian, clearly excited.
“Well, I suppose the cats’ out of the bag now.” Sebastian laughed as he spoke, trying to play off his embarrassment. The crowd erupted again and James clapped his hands looking like a kid on Christmas morning.
“Since this will be trending on twitter in twenty minutes, do you have anything to say to Ms. Y/L/N?” James asked. Sebastian huffed a breath and thought for a minute.
“Not the way I would’ve wanted to ask, but uh, want to grab a coffee with me sometime?” Sebastian flashed a smile into a camera before laughing.
“No, no. I could never ask her out.” Sebastian admitted, playing with the sleeves of his suit jacket.
“Why not? I think you two would be amazing together!” James exclaimed.
“Why not? Have you seen her? She’s, she’s perfect, dude!” Sebastian looked over at James and hoped he didn’t seem too mortified.
“I can’t argue with you there, but I think there’s plenty of ladies who think you’re perfect as well, Sebastian.” James said, looking to the audience for approval. High pitched screams erupted and Sebastian chuckled again.
“Well, if she decides to grace me with her presence, she can reach out anytime.” Sebastian winked towards the camera and gave his dazzling smile before turning back to James who was now discussing Sebastian’s upcoming movie.
The Next Morning
Sebastian awoke to a notification on his phone.
Y/N Y/L/N has tagged you in a photo!
He smiled and opened his phone to instagram. She had posted a selfie of herself and a cup of coffee. Her hair was messy and it was clear she had little makeup on, but he thought she looked stunning. Sebastian scrolled down to read the caption.
Coffee sounds nice, but how about dinner? @imsebastianstan
Sebastian grinned wide and rolled over in bed. Maybe this wouldn’t turn out as awful as he’d thought.
