Chapter 2
So it was the next day and Nico was still not awake.She only woke up because of the sun through the curtains.But..She fell back asleep
'Karolina didn't say a time anyway' So she fell back asleep.
Two hours later she decided to get up.She took her phone looked at her messages and the first name that popped up was "Karolina"
New messages:Karolina
-Hey Nico...hope to see you later at the diner timely 1:30.see you there-
-Yea okay see you there Karolina-
So Nico checked the time it was 12:30 right now so she had time to take a nice cold shower.
But Nico felt sad today for some reason so she got up went to the kitchen.She got some rum from the cabinet and took a long drink.
She hopped in the shower next and stripped off her underwear and got in the cold shower and just stayed there for a few long minutes.
'Lunch can go great i guess'
She hopped out of the shower rapped a towel around her body then she heard the news
"It's been 3 years since school shootdown gone wrong police still don't have answers"
She started shaking at that time she was about to cancel the lunch with Karolina
-Hey Nico.I already saved you a seat here at timely-
She was hovering above her key and just replied.
-Yeah..ok see you there-
'This is going to be a bad lunch today'
She went to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of rum of the counter.
She had no other choice to just go.So she quickly put her Black jordans on and left.
"Just you today Karolina?"
"No I am waiting for someone"
"Okay right this way please"
"Thanks"
"Okay..what can I get for you today"
"Can I get water please"
"Yes ma'am"
Karolina took her phone out when the waiter put the water on the table

That's when her heart dropped once the bell rang.She met with obsidian eyes they locked for a moment when Nico started walking closer.
"Hey"
"Hi"
"Um.. sorry i'm late I had a delay"
"No..it's okay"
"Take a seat Nico"
"Hello i'm topher and i'm your waiter what can I get for you today Miss Dean would you like a refill of water"
"Yes please..Nico what do you want"
"Can I get acho-water please"
Nico was about to say alcohol when she remembered she can't get drunk right now.Cause if she got it she would have kept them coming.
Right when the Topher left Karolina turned to Nico and said
"So tell me more about yourself Nico.I wanna learn more about you".
"Okay...Right. Um. I’m from New york, my first year in LA was pretty rough,found my way into the boxing team here, got injured but that was a year ago.Not much else to know”.
Karolina giggled "Yeah well Nico...I wanna learn about you...not just yourself.
'You can't tell your dark secret just say something'
"Oh yea we-"
"Sorry to interrupt ladies but what would you guys have for lunch"
"Can I get a House club"
"Can I also get that please"
"Yes anything else ladies"
"No that would be it"
"Ok"
Nico turned to look at Karolina but to a surprise she was already looking at her.
"Listen umm...Karolina, I don’t think you’d really want to get to know me. I’m kinda a bit of a disaster.And today of all days,I’m just not sure.There’s just a lot going on and-“

“No!” Nico just realized how loud she had just gotten as soon as the word left her mouth and looked down at the table.“Please.. Karolina.No at least not here. I-I can’t”.
Karolina placed a hand over hers and rubbed it softly to try and calm her down.
"It's ok"
"N-no it's no-"
"Yes it is okay.Do you want to leave?"

So they quickly left timely and went into Karolina's car.Neither talked during the car ride.They at Nico's apartment door just before Nico could open her door Karolina said "Do you want me to come inside with you?".
'Say yes idiot'
"Um...sure if y-you want to".
Once she was at her front door she took out her key and opened her door slowly and let her in.
"So what do you do Karolina?"
"Um.I usually work an in office.I actually own the building.Well my dad was the one in charge but he's still living with my mom".
Nico didn't notice she was sitting down on the couch until she felt Karolina slump beside her.
"Oh so you uh..Are the manager of the whole building"
"Yea"Both girls felt silent until Nico broke the silence
"So thanks for lunch again it was great even though it didn't go as planned"

Nico got a hold of Karolina's hand "Listen Karolina i'm sorry for being such an asshole today.I'm just having a rough day today and it's not really easy.I'll tell you about me some other day right now.The date was great just I don't want to think i'm crazy.It was just a bad day for a date today.I usually go to club's to get drunk not to fall in love but...I-I have feelings for you Karolina".
"Nico..."
"No...let finish i'm so fucking sorry.I'll make it up to I want to ask you on a real date Karolina I want to get to know you to okay Karolina? Hey are you crying i'm so sorry please don't cry"She pulled her in a tight embrace witch she was able to return it.
"Hey please Nico.I want to help you and I have feelings for you to.And I accept your date when do you want to go?"
'She cares. Can’t imagine why, but she does.and did she say yes.YES!'
"How about tomorrow.You have feelings for me to"
"Tomorrow sounds great.And yes I do have feelings for you"She rolled her eyes playfully and shoved Nico softly as she giggled.
They looked at each other for a moment Nico eyes flickered to her lips then back to her blue eyes.She didn't realize how close she was until she heard her breathing but they got interrupted by Nico's phone and they scooted back to act like everything was normal Nico took her phone and then she remembered that name and shots were ringing in her ear.She didn't realize her breathing was getting louder.She felt a warm hand touch her then she heard a voice "Hey Nico i'm right here.Are you ok?"
All Nico could say in her mind is 'Scream at her' 'Make her leave'

"Nico"
Yea A-are you ok?"
"Yea i'm ok.Nic-"
"I'm so sorry.I umm...have PTSD.So when I think about the bad memories in my head I either go and do coke or get drunk it reminds of my mental health or sometimes I even try to kill myself."She started to feel tears in her eyes
"It's ok you don't have to apologize for your mental health Nico.I'll help you get through this shit ok.When you ever want to drink or use again you come to me or I have a friend that went through the same thing ok"

When Karolina left Nico read over the message the her fucking abusive ex boyfriend send her it said

Before Nico could read the last message she went to the kitchen and got some whiskey and drank a took a long drink.She went back to the Living room and sat down and read the last message
New message:Alex
-You probably don't want to hear from me but I hope your doing well,and you should talk to chase-
Nico scoffed at the last message "Fuck off! Like you even care" She took another long drink and didn't notice she had start to cry.She decided not to respond to anyone and took another drink.
-Hey Gert.Can you come over-
-Sure is everything ok?-

She came quicker than anything she heard a knock on her door
"Hey tell me every-"Karolina had started crying
"That bad huh?"
"What no..It was great just she has a mental health and I want to help her and I don't know how to"

-Victor you still sell.Ok great bring me some weed and coke.NOW-
-I didn't say yes and but..yes.ok be there in 10 mins-
-knock 4 times-
Nico started getting her wallet out and walet and waited for Victor.She heard the door knock 4 times and she swung the door open and took them quickly and threw the cash to him and shut the door on his face.
'What the actual fuck did i just do'

"Fuck this"Nico then dumped the coke on the table and started forming lines.She read a message that just popped up
New message:Karolina
-Hey call me if you do anything i'm getting worried Nico text me or call me when you get the chance-
-Can you come over i'm literally forming lines and I can't stop.I't won't let me-
-Ok Nico hold it.I'll be there in 5 minutes-

"Fine"So she did Nico did all of it and she didn't regret it she felt calmer.She took another baggie and dumped it all formed it into lines and did all again until she drank another sip of her alcohol and she started dozing off.But she heard her phone ring.
-Hey Nico i'm right outside you wanna come out-

-Why?What happened Nico you sound drunk.Nico are you drunk?-
-Yea I think I drank to much but... i'm fine really i'm all ok now-
Nico had hot tears running down her cheek 'I'm so sorry Karolina'
-Nico you don't sound ok.Did you use already?-
-I'm sorry-
-Nico your getting me worried what's going on?-
-Do you want me to come inside Nico?-
Nico didn't respond she instead closed her eyes and let her phone fall of her hands.
Karolina almost tripped while she ran to Nico's door she hard and forcefully she felt tears in her eyes "NICO OPEN THE DOOR!"
She searched around her house until she found a window that was open and went inside and already smell of alcohol 'How much did you drink Nico'
"Hey Nico your door was not open so I ha-" Thats she saw her she was slumped on her chair with her bottle in her hand Karolina noticed the baggie's.
"Nico!" She ran and started picking her up and checking her pulse "Good thing your alive Nico"
She felt starting to move and said "Hey I'm right here Nico calm down"
"Karolina how-what wh-what are you doing here"
"Don't worry about it right now you need to get rest ok"
"I'm so so sorry Karolina" She started crying she didn't realize Karolina put her down on her bed
"It's ok Nico i'll talk about it with you in the morning when you wake up ok"
"Wait don't go stay with me please I can't be alone right now.I'm just so stupid i'm sorry"
"Ok i'll stay with your not stupid and it's ok for the last time ok i'll sleep on the couch ok"
"No sleep with me please just for right now"
"Ok.Goodnight Nico"
