James POV

“I gave you time but it’s time to get up Prongs,” Remus sighs as hr pulls the covers off me.

“No.”

“James.”

“What’s the point?”

“Classes? Your friends? Quidditch?”

“I’m ahead in classes, all my friends are here and I don’t have a game till Friday.”

“Prongs,” Remus hesitates, “it is Friday.”

“What?” I bolt upright and my head swims.

“You’ve been moping for three days.”

“Why didn’t you force me to get up?”

“We tried, multiple times.”

“How did I miss three days?”

“You were sad,” Remus shrugs, “but I knew you wouldn’t want to miss your game.”

“Where’s, Pads?” Remus stills and I’m immediately on alert.

“He’s out.”

“Out where?”

“Prongs.”

“Moony,” I hold his gaze until he drops it.

“He’s talking to Regulus.”

“What? Why? I told him not to,” I explode and jump up before almost passing out. Turns out crying for three days makes you dizzy.

“Yeah and you werw also almost completely unresponsive for three days and you can’t even remember it. He’s worried.”

“I’m fine, it’s fine.”

“No you’re not,” he sighs and comes to sit next to me, “how much have you been hiding from us?”

“I don’t want to burden you, you all have your own problems you don’t need too worry about mine.”

“Oh, James,” he whispers and comes to place his arm around me and I curl into him, “we’re your friends we will always be here for you.”

“I’m scared,” I confess.

“Of what?”

“Not being enough,” Remus takes my chin in his hand.

“James, you are always enough and that does not change if you’re having a bad day.”

“But-“

“No buts, we love you James, and not just for the good things.”

“I’m sorry,” I have tears in my eyes at this point.

“Never apologize for feeling things,” before I can answer the door slams open and Sirius comes in.

“Stealing my boyfriend now are you?”

“What can I say he’s very handsome,” which is true, Remus was my first crush.

“Mm yeah he is, unfortunately he’s a taken man.”

“Sadly,” my mock frown before pulling away, “you didn’t kill him right?”

“No,” Sirius grin fades a little, “I wanted to, Merlin I did but he’s alive and well.”

“Good,” Sirius opens his mouth but another figure walks in and I lose concentration.

“So you do care, Jamie,” he leans against the door frame, his face is held high but his hair covers his face giving away that he’s nervous, but he’s here.

“Regulus,” I breathe out.
