Summary
Violetshine, from many angles, universes, and perspectives.(or: a series of (mostly) unrelated drabbles about violetshine. because i love her, and because she's important to me. information about each story will be in the author's notes.)

this is going to be different from a lot of my previous works. violetshine is a very important character to me. i wrote this story as a way to get some of my ideas down in a shorter format than usual, and to keep myself busy while i work on other stories.chapter ratings will range from G to T. this isn't a request fic; these are just some oneshots straight from my brain.i hope you enjoy.UPDATE: i realized i should probably put down the names of each song i reference within this story. the title of this fic is from "rolling girl" by wowaka ft. hatsune miku. i will update the notes of each chapter to add what song they're referencing

"You know," Darktail says, settling down beside her, "I was abandoned by my kin, too."
Violetpaw stiffens, trying to keep her fur flat as he puts his tail on her back in what was probably supposed to be a comforting gesture. I wasn't abandoned, she thinks, but the words don't come out. Something about Darktail's presence makes her swallow everything she wants to say.
"But don't worry," he continues, oblivious to her discomfort. "You don't have to worry about that anymore. We're all Kin here."
Violetpaw tries to summon a scrap of excitement or warmth, but she can't manage it.
