Sam scrubs at the shield. Torres and the others will be arriving any minute now, and he can't let them see it like this. He's probably destroying evidence or something, but what does that matter when the whole world saw what Walker did.
What Captain America did.
He rubs his hands over the gleaming red, white, and blue vibranium. He's not even sure if he wants the damned thing, but it still means something. Or at least it used to. And if it's going to mean anything to anyone again, it needs to be clean.
He scrubs at it again.
