Build an Army, Build an Ultron
Anna and Hans come out of sling-ring portals on Exegol. Anna’s hair turns from white to red.
HANS
Uh, what was that thing with your hair?
ANNA
Elsa struck me with her powers. Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.
Neither Hans nor Anna says anything, until they are interrupted by their prisoner, who is nearby.
DR STRANGE
Ohhh! Ha! I get it now! You two are REALLY in love! Well, I guess maybe Hans loves Anna and she doesn’t love him back, but Hans truly loves Anna! Oh, this is good. Never thought I’d see the day. Wait’ll Wong hears about this.
HANS
Oh, shut up.
ANNA
(To Hans)
So you love me?
HANS
You shut up, too.
ANNA AND DR STRANGE
Denial.
HANS
Wait, what?
ANNA
First in the five stages of grief.
DR STRANGE
The five stages of grief also apply to love.
HANS
Stop accusing me!
DR STRANGE
Anger.
HANS
Well, if I admit I’m in love with her, she’ll have to admit that SHE loves ME!
ANNA
Bargaining…
HANS
(Sighs)
I just don’t know what to do.
DR STRANGE
Depression.
HANS
(Turns to Anna)
I’m just gonna say it. I think I love you.
ANNA
(Smiles)
Acceptance.
DR STRANGE
You sure moved on from Kristoff quickly.
ANNA
He didn’t have the Force. There’s no way to bring him back. Better for me to not dwell on it.
DR STRANGE
Okay, question though-- what did you do to get Hans to love you?
ANNA
Yeah, Hans, what did I do?
HANS
I dunno, it’s just-- it might be the thrill of the adventure, or having a common interest in power and dominance, or maybe the fake flame was real.
ANNA
Well, something’s real. ‘Cause your true love saved me.
HANS
Whatever.
DR STRANGE
Why haven’t you killed me?
HANS
You might be of some use to us still.
DR STRANGE
Huh. Interesting, interesting.
ANNA
How so?
DR STRANGE
Just thinking of how I might be useful to you.
ANNA
Oh, you have no idea.
Anna kneels, putting her hands on the ground. All the billions of rocks and bricks reform into the Exegol coliseum. Hans runs outside, and the star destroyers, dormant for centuries, come to life, flying out of their wreckage and into the air, getting into their famous squadron formation. He runs back inside, seeing Anna where she is on the floor, her hands on the ground and her eyes still closed. In the seating section, stones and dirt rise, forming tens of thousands of sentient creatures. Anna breathes heavily in exertion as each rock-man grabs a lightsaber, seeming from nowhere, and lights it. Each is red. An army. Eighty thousand men, made of rocks, each 8 feet tall, with a red lightsaber.
DR STRANGE
An Ultron-like squadron. Impressive.
ANNA
Funny you should say that. I’ve got other plans for Ultron.
Anna reaches behind her back and grabs a sort of “Ipad” from nowhere, using the Force. She pulls up a “Firefox” browser. She puts her hand on the screen and closes her eyes again.
ANNA
Hear me, Ultron. You couldn’t have died. You’re somewhere online, hiding, waiting for the right time to strike. The time is now. Help me control the multiverse, for the good of all who live in it.
I think it was HISHE that proposed the idea that Ultron could still hide online after "Age of Ultron." So thanks to them.
A pair of red eyes appear on the screen, as well as a sort of staticky line for a mouth.
ULTRON IS BACK.
ULTRON
You’re powerful, Anna. The kind of person I want to work for. All I am is an extremely intelligent program. Give me a body and a set of knowledge. I’ll help you.
Anna glances at Strange.
DR STRANGE
Whoa, whoa, whoa. You’re not thinking--
ANNA
(Interrupting)
Oh, I am.
Anna uses the Force to put her hand inside the “Ipad” screen and grab Ultron’s consciousness and existence, a blue light with code flashing all over it like a data vault, the size and shape of a baseball. Anna uses the Force to push it quickly into Strange’s forehead. Strange falls unconscious for a moment, then Anna uses the Force again to take the consciousness out of Strange and put it back in the “Ipad.” Strange wakes up.
DR STRANGE
You didn’t.
ANNA
I did.
ULTRON
(On the Ipad)
She did. I know everything you know, Strange. Sadly, I can’t download myself into a human body, it just doesn’t work that way. But I took your knowledge.
ANNA
The opposite of what happened with Palpatine. He gave me knowledge and died. Strange, Ultron took your knowledge and you both live.
DR STRANGE
If it weren’t for this alloy--
ULTRON
What alloy?
ANNA
Vengestone and vibranium. Mined from worlds all over the galaxy. Vengestone makes your powers useless inside it, kind of like runes. Vibranium for strength. Simple.
ULTRON
Thank you for explaining. We’re business partners. We should share knowledge.
ANNA
We’ve got all sorts of Sith technology in this citadel. We’ll build you a perfect body.
ULTRON
Nothing is perfect. Only serviceable.
So, Anna’s rebuilt the Sith citadel after it was destroyed. The statues-- STATUES-- were hundreds of feet tall, if you’ve seen “Rise of Skywalker.” She’s made an army of eighty thousand rock-men, all armed with lightsabers. She’s restarted a FLEET of DOZENS of star destroyers. AND she’s got Ultron-- ULTRON-- on her side. Goes to show just how powerful in the Force she is and how ambitious her plans are.
DR STRANGE
Yyyep. It’s a lot. You won’t win, by the way.
ANNA
Who can stop me? I have you, I killed Wanda, AND I got the biggest army the universe has ever seen.
HANS
Uh, multiverse.
ULTRON
And who’s this? The love interest? I haven’t heard him speak.
DR STRANGE
Actually, yes.
ULTRON
This’ll be fun to watch.
*Chewing popcorn sounds*
ANNA
What in the--
DR STRANGE
Are you eating popcorn?
ULTRON
I just searched on “Youtube” for “popcorn chewing sounds”. It’s for effect.
HANS
You wouldn’t get it, Anna. There’s--
ANNA
I know, I know, there’s a lot I don’t know about.
HANS
You’ll learn.
ANNA
No. YOU’LL learn. I’ll take over the universe. With you, that is.
HANS
Right. You can’t do this alone.
ULTRON
Ultron’s here, too.
ENTIRE 80,000 8-FT TALL ROCK ARMY
(Deep voices)
We’re here, too.
HANS
But mostly, it’s just me and Anna.
DR STRANGE
Ah, true love.
HANS
Shut up.
ANNA
Don’t make him quiet, Strange.
DR STRANGE
Why?
ANNA
I… like it.
HANS
Does this mean you love me, too?
ANNA
I… uh…
HANS
We’re Sith. We can have attachments.
ANNA
Maybe a little?
HANS
That’s a “yes.”
ULTRON
That’s a “yes.”
DR STRANGE
Sure enough, that’s a “yes.”
HANS
Why?
ANNA
I guess I’m just excited to have someone to fight with who’s like me with their power.
HANS
Makes sense, Crystal Princess. Remember, we have that elemental power.
ANNA
Then let’s go and get Elsa and Thor. Wait, why’d we wait before going back?
HANS
I… don’t know. I was just concerned with… you…
On Earth, on the roof of the New York Sanctum, Elsa stands with her arm outstretched and her eyes closed, using the Force to keep herself and Thor out of Anna’s thoughts. She hears Anna’s voice speak.
ANNA
(Echoing, from far off, seemingly on the wind)
Then let’s go and get Elsa and Thor.
Elsa puts her arm down, acknowledging that now Anna’s thought of her. Behind Elsa, a Force-ghost YODA offers encouragement.
YODA
Well you did, young padawan. Well you did. Out of her thoughts, you stayed. Yes. A dyad in the Force. Unseen since Rey and Ben Solo. Unseen generations before that. A powerful connection, it is. You must learn to mask your presence from Anna. Your location, she must never find.
ELSA
I got this. With the Jedi teaching me, Anna’s Force powers won’t be able to find me.
THOR
(Coming from behind, putting his arms around Elsa)
No, she won’t.
ELSA
(Giggling)
Thor!
THOR
Surely, she’s seen we’re on Earth now.
ELSA
So we go somewhere else.
THOR
That’s the thing. She’d expect that, right? We should stay here.
ELSA
Smart.
THOR
Plus, we have Wong here, and I’ve got other contacts. Also, I know all the good restaurants.
ELSA
And just what are you implying?
THOR
Mm, dating.
ELSA
When?
THOR
Whenever we feel like it.
ELSA
I like that.
THOR
So do I.
For a few minutes, the two stay there on the roof, watching the NY traffic below.
THOR
You’ll have an apartment in Buenos Aires.
ELSA
Buenos Aires?
THOR
It’s far from here. We should get you away from anywhere that you have good trainers. I’ll have an apartment in another building nearby. Wong can come to help us if we need it. It’s far from any Sanctums, where I’d guess Anna’d guess we’d be.
ELSA
I… guess? But why wouldn’t we just go after them? Surprise attack?
THOR
We need to help each other train before attacking. We can defeat Anna together, but I’m not so sure we’re a match for her and Hans.
ELSA
Not to mention his brothers.
HANS
Ah, they’re in prison. Written out of the question.
ELSA
So it’s settled then. We go to Buenos Aires, away from where we think Anna will attack first on Earth, and we help each other get better.
THOR
That’s the plan. She won’t know what’s hitting her.
ELSA
No. She won’t.
Meanwhile, on Exegol, wires are hooked up to a new robot body for Ultron. It looks exactly the same for aesthetic purposes as he did in his movie. Anna pushes a few buttons, and Ultron comes to life.
ULTRON
It’s good to be back. What’s the plan, Crystal Princess?
ANNA
You stay here. Keep guard on Strange. You have all this Sith tech. Build an army, all of its soldiers, sentries, everything, being you, just like your last one. Hans and I will find Elsa and Thor. The day of the Sith is at its dawn. Soon, we’ll rule the multiverse and all its worlds. But not for evil, oh, no. For the betterment, for the good of mankind.
ULTRON
Was that ever not the plan?
ANNA
You think well, Ultron. You think well.
Anna looks off into the distance and sees Hans hammering away at something like a blacksmith. She smiles.
ULTRON
Looks like someone’s--
ANNA
Save it.
ULTRON
Are we going to wait for my army to be built, or are we going to attack right now?
ANNA
We’ll wait. We have all the time in the world.
