2008
Tony was 17, when his parents died. A car accident, officially it was a mistake in the tech of the car.
2010
Tony found out about Obi’s illegal dealing with weapons on the black market. He easily found the proof after he started looking. What also helped his case was that Stane tried to murder him so, Stane got imprisoned easily. What was more annoying was to get everyone to agree that he was fit and mature enough to be CEO of SI. Well, it worked after three psychological tests and a bunch of legal documents.
Tony Stark was CEO at the age of 19.
2012
The battle of NY was Steve’s first public mission.
Tony was in his penthouse at that time. When suddenly a handsome god walked in.
“Who are you?”
“Loki of Jotunheim”
“Need a drink?”
It was an easy tactic to keep people from attacking him until security came. Which could take a while since there where aliens on the street.
“No thank you!”
In the next moment Tony lied behind his bar table and heard the hulk coming. He would never say it aloud, but he was terrified that moment. He was grateful for Loki to throw him behind the bar counter. He learned later that Loki was the bad guy, but he did not believe that completely.
While he was lying there listening to the hulk roaring and grunting, he was called by somebody who called himself Nick Furry.
“There is a nuke coming in!”
“And you want me to do what?”
“Use that brain of yours!”
Furry cut the call. Tony would learn later that Howard used to work with Shield.
Tony grabbed his phone and accessed his drones to control the bomb, hacked into the coms of the Avengers and told Agent Romanoff to wait a second so he could blast the bomb into space. Romanoff was surprised that he was able to hack Shield coms, but he was Tony fucking Stark.
After he was done, he heard some strange sound, which sounded like somebody was in a lot of pain. So, he looked around the bar counter and saw Loki. He got up to look him over and get the first aid kid if Loki needed it. He did not believe that Frost giant thing.
But before he got there the avengers walked into his penthouse and arrested Loki for attacking the city. After that Captain America walked over to him.
“We could need someone with your skills.”
“I bet you could, Shield has a crappy defence for their security comms. I definitely do not want to see the not so secure lines.”
Tony rolled his eyes.
Rogers handed him a small card with his number on it.
“Call if you are interested.”
“Please put it on the counter.”
After Rogers did it. Tony asked.
“How much does Shield pay.”
“You would help the avengers.”
“I created protection and weapons for police, soldiers and the FBI. Sometimes even hack if needed but I still get paid for helping. SO why should that be different?”
“Just call me.”
Steve wanted to walk away, but then he remembered what Nat told him, so he turned around again.
Stark raised an eyebrow.
“Can a take you out on a date? “Steve asked.
“Friday 13 pm, don’t be late I don’t have a lot of time.”
“See you then”.
Steve smiled, he had successfully asked a guy out on a date who was hot as hell and was not laughed at. It would be a great date.
Tony panicked internally; his last relationship ended with some gun shots. But that was two years ago. So, he wanted to try it again, even though he still had nightmares of that night.
Flashback:
Tony was scrolling through the news feed on his phone, when he saw the article that his boyfriend’s company was bankrupt. Ty was going to be furious, since he had problems with the company he was constantly stressed and yelled a lot. Ty was 25, while Tony was 19. But today Tony hoped that he could get his boyfriend to be happy for him since he was now finally CEO of Stark Industries.
When Ty walked in, Tony stood up to kiss him, but Ty just looked at him and shoot him with a handgun he caried with him. While Tony stumbled over in pain, he heard a second shoot, once Tony hit the floor, he looked over at Ty who had shoot himself into the head.
“Ty?”
“TY!”
Tony could not move the only thing he could do was crying, while he was bleeding on the floor.
A few minutes later everything went dark.
Later he woke up in the hospital and learned that the neighbours called the police because the heard the shots.
Tony still had a scar slightly over his left hip as a constant reminder.
But now Tony decided that it was time to try again. And Captain America was clearly his type.
Friday
Their date went surprisingly well, and they started dating. He soon learned that Steve wanted a family. Steve was also 9 years older than Tony, so Tony thought they would be together a few years and have the family talk again.
2 year later / 2014
Steve met a 4-year-old boy on a mission, who had no parents or family and decided to adopt him. He did not even ask Tony just told him over the phone. So, Tony decided he would help Steve where he could, but not be legally responsible for the kid. He also set up a collage fund for his future.
On the day where the people from the social service came to finish the paperwork, Tony was alone with the kid, named Peter, in the penthouse and no idea where Steve was.
So, Tony decided it would probably be the best for all if he signed the documents, since Steve told the social service that Tony would be adopting Peter with him, and then added Steve later.
A few hours later he got a call from the president because some idiot dumped all of Shield’s data online and dropped three specially decided aircrafts on DC. So Tony asked Rhodey’s sister to watch Peter and went to work.
For the following two days he got data back, send teams and drones to the families of agents and offered jobs at SI to them. The agents also got healthcare and therapy. Most of them took a job at SI so the where save and had a secure future for their kids.
After that he sat in a court room and listened to Romanova talk about how the world needed the avengers.
“We did not know who to trust.”
“So you tell me that Captain Rogers did trust a guy he met while he was jogging?”
While Tony asked that question, he needed al his training not to start laughing, Rhodey next to him looked alike.
“I do not know where Captain Rogers and Mr Wilson met but I am sure he thought long about who he could trust.”
Then some other guy asked the main question:
“Are you and Captain Rogers aware of the fact that if you called anyone with professional training, you could have taken down Hydra and their plans without any deaths?”
“We did not know who we could trust, who had the ability to hack Shield. And you have to agree that it is not easy to hack Shield.”
At that Tony nearly lost it. Which caused everyone to look at him.
“What do you think is so funny” Romanova looked furious.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It is just that for the fact that Shield was a high security agency, which had worse protection and firewalls than a more or less smart high school kid. So, you could have called your pizza delivery guy with a laptop to stop them.”
He rolled his eyes.
“You are just pissed we did not call you” Romanova was talking into a direction she did not want the hearing go. In less than ten seconds she would reveal that the whole thing was terribly thought of.
“You can say that I am, given the fact that your stunt caused 6539 known deaths, the estimated number is probably much higher, till now. And I know for a fact that Mr Rogers’ fiancé is exactly the person you needed. But since you can’t put your trust in someone like this…”
He waited a while in order to let that information to sink in.
Tony decoratively rested his head on his hand so you could see the engagement ring, perfectly.
With that the hearing ended and the media was having a field day. It was the start of the accords.
And nobody got a clue with whom Steve Rogers was engaged and what the ring on Tony Stark’s finger meant.
Nobody drew the logical conclusion.
Flashback
When Steve had asked Tony to marry him. Tony was not entirely sure if it was the right thing to say yes, but he loved Steve, so he did it.
The next day in the office was kind of weird, since he did not know how to tell Pepper. The secretary made that easier after she spotted the ring, she just started to ask questions. And was literally just over the top exited. She started fantasising when Pepper walked in.
“Why are you planning a wedding, Julia?”
As an answer Julia just lifted Tony’s hand in excitement.
Pepper just raised an eyebrow and dragged him to dinner later and facetimed Rhodey.
When he came home Steve was already waiting for him.
“Peter missed you!”
“I’m sorry. I was out with Pepper and Rhodey”.
“I thought Rhodes was overseas?”
“Oh, he is we just facetimed him”.
Steve just hmpfed and went to the gym.
A few days after the DC incident
Tony stumbled out of the elevator, phone pressed to his ear, tablet in his hand.
“No Peter is going to kindergarten tomorrow for the first time, and in the afternoon, then we are going to pick you up.”
“No, I am going to get him to bed now”.
Then his eyes fell on the assembled avengers in his living room. Thor, Hank Pym, and the bird guy were the only ones missing.
“You have 5 minutes to get out of my penthouse before I call security!”
He just wanted to get Peter to bed and finish the updates and then go to sleep on his own.
“Tony dear, there is no need to be so hostile. With the fell of Shield there was nowhere they could go. So, I thought they could stay?”
Steve gave him his best puppy eyes, with looked ridiculously, funny and adorable at the same time.
“Fine, for how long are you staying?”
“I have a plane ticket for next week.”
“I need to look for a new apartment.”
“Yeah, me too”
Tony nodded just one month or so.
He then went to get Peter into bed.
The next morning Tony went with Peter to the kindergarten and told him that he would be picking him up in the afternoon.
In the afternoon he picked Peter up and started driving to pick Rhodey up as well.
“Peter did you like it.”
Peter then told him about his day and about his new friends.
“Is it okey if Happy brings you there and picks you up afterwards?”
“If you are there when I get home” mumbled Peter.
“Deal. Look there we are!”
Tony got out of the car, lifted peter up and went over to Rhodey.
Rhodey took Peter out of Tony’s arm and hugged both of them.
“Sweet boyfriend, Rhodes!”
Rhodey turned around to tell his college that Tony was not his boyfriend. When Peter winked at the guy who jelled.
“Oh man, your kid is cute too.”
“Man, you are lucky, sweet child and a boyfriend, oh sorry, fiancé who is hot as hell” His glace dropped onto the ring while he talked.
Tony just took Rhodey by the hand and dragged him to the car. Where they both burst out into laughing.
A few months later the avengers were still in Tony’s penthouse.
2015
Hank Pym’s first attempt of an ai went nuts. Which was a nice description for the attempt of complete extinction of every living thing on the planet. Hank Pym retired after that.
Put luckily earth had the avengers so they survived. During the battle Tony was sitting in his workshop and trying to get the killer bot to go offline. In the end in worked, so he could send his drones to help Sokovia. He would have sent them earlier, but he needed all processing power to keep Ultron from killing them all. He also needed it to build Vision.
After the battle was over, he went there to help with the clean-up and look if Pym wanted to make Ultron or it was the sceptre like he claimed.
Turns out Pym was right. Tony also discovered that Pym was attacked in a Hydra base by some red mist, a person or something like that was not shown on the footage.
During the clean-up Tony fell asleep on Rhodey’s shoulder, while sitting next to him on a military truck, in order to get closer to the core, somebody took a picture of them without them noticing. When they arrived, Tony was able to locate more with his drones. He found out about the picture a few days later when he came home. Steve then asked him to come to some sort of gala with him in order to get rid of the rumours that Tony was engaged to Rhodey.
Later that day he was introduced to Wanda Maximoff, who just hated him for no reason. She also threw her power at him when they were in the same room. And Steve wanted Tony to apologise to her, he did not even know what he has done. Something with a bomb and her parents. But that made no sense he never sold to Sokovia not even Obi had done that. He even tracked down potential bombs only to find out that the bomb was faked by Hydra. When he showed that to her, she just threw her powers at him.
“Liar!”
“Security now Friday. I want to never see you in my building again.”
“You can’t throw me out!”
“Why not? You don’t even pay rent, so you are legally a guest so I can tell you when to leave.”
Of course, that was when Steve walked in.
“Nobody is leaving!”
“Ms Maximoff is leaving.”
“But Tony, she has nowhere else to go she is part of the team. And she just came to America it is all new to her.“ He wanted to go on, put Tony cut him off.
“Steve, it is about time you get your team an actual base and I am not talking about my living room. Ask the government for money or think of something else. But I want to have YOUR team out by the end of the month.”
The security arrived.
“Take her out.” He pointed to Maximoff, he just had enough she was 26, two years older than him, acting like a child (and getting treated as one by Steve), and screaming every time at him she saw him also throwing small amounts of magic at him.
“But I have nowhere to go.”
“You should have thought about that before you attacked me. And you could ask Mr Barton to live on his farm until Steve has figured the things with the team out.”
He then waved the guards out of his penthouse.
The day of the gala
“Uncle Rhodey!”
Peter laughed when Rhodey walked in. He was looking forward to the evening, he loved his uncle.
“Hey there” Rhodey picked him up “Do you have any idea where your dad is?”
“I’m here” Tony was drying his hair while hugging Rhodey. “Thank you for watching Peter”
Rhodey smiled and watched Tony stilling his hair.
“Have fun” With that Tony was out of the door. Perfectly styled and a perfect suit, like always.
Tony walked down to the garage, where Steve was waiting next to his motorbike.
Tony arched an eyebrow.
“You want to take the bike?”
“Yes, I always take it.”
“We are taking a car!”
“Why?”
“cause a motorbike is too dangerous. So, witch car are we taking?”
“Why is a motorbike dangerous?”
Steve did not get it. Tony did not want to explain, and he definitely did not want to ride a motorbike, so he picked a car and climbed in.
“Now I don’t even get to drive.” Steve sounded annoyed.
Tony just started to drive.
“Why is Happy following us?”
“He is my bodyguard. That is his job?”
“But you are with me.” Steve did not understand, Tony was save with him.
“Yeah, but if something happens and you need to catch the bad guys then Happy will get me to safety. “
“Nothing will happen”.
Well, something happened and that something was called Wanda Maximoff.
After they had announced that Steve was Tony’s husband-to-be and no one else, Happy whispered into Tony’s ear:
“Boss that woman …”
He never finished the sentence since Maximoff was walking straight to them and threw her drink at Tony. Her magic dancing dangerously around her.
“Wanda!”
Happy just lost it at that, he did not think Maximoff was stupid enough to attack Tony in a public place, but he was not betting Tony’s live on it. So, he just grabbed Tony and dragged him to the car. He gestured so that one of Tony’s bodyguards would stay behind and drive Steve home.
The next morning
“Why did you leave?”
“Happy did not think it was save.”
“But you were.”
“Maximoff looked like she was going to kill me”.
“Wanda would not do that. She was just angry that you kicked her out of her home”.
“She already attacked me once. And I thought you got the government to fund your missions, housing and living? “
“But this was still her home.”
“This is my penthouse, where I let her stay for some time. Now I need to get up I have a meeting and need to get Peter ready for kindergarten and make breakfast.”
December 2015
Steve had guests this evening in order to discuss something avengers related. Tony did not know why they were meeting in his living room, but he was not going to complain, they should be gone when he came back home.
When he came home there where two men sitting on his couch and four women standing around like guards and Steve was nowhere to be seen.
Peter was hiding behind his leg and Tony was close to passing out. He had been awake for the last three days and just wanted to sleep, but he had manners.
“Good evening! Do you want anything like tea or coffee?”
“Captain Rogers said he would be back soon!” That was the older one of the two men. Tony seriously had no clue who they were. The only thing he knew was that they were probably waiting for some hours.
“I am sorry I do not know when he will be back, but if you have something else to do it will probably be a good idea to do that. I am sure Steve will be back soon.” Tony smiled his best press-smile.
The older man stood up and said something to the younger one.
“If you don’t mind T’Challa will stay here and wait for Captain Rogers.”
So that guy named T’Challa stayed.
Tony left him alone for a few minutes to get Peter to bed.
Then Tony went back to the living room to wait with his guest and make him as comfortable as possible while waiting. He did not intend to pass out in front of that guy.
T’Challa was surprised the Captain had led him and his father up here and then told them that he would be with them soon. But he never came back, instead Rogers’ fiancé showed up two hours later. Mr Stark was a nice guy who instantly offered them something to drink and told them politely that Rogers was not going to show up until the next morning.
But when Mr Stark came back from getting his cute kid to bed, he just passed out in front of T’Challa.
With the help of the artificial assistance Friday, he got Mr Stark to his bedroom, and put him into bed.
The ai then directed him also to the guest room.
The next morning was fun eating pancakes with a billionaire and his child was definitely not something you did every day. He also got invited to a game of paintball when he was in America the next time, he should also bring his sister with him, so they had more people to play with. He also talked with Tony about the accords.
After that he had a meeting with the council
“Tell us about your meeting with Captain Rogers, please. Does he agree with the accords does he want to change something? Or will he be contacting us?”
“The only thing I can tell you is that his fiancé is agreeing with the accords. But he thinks it would be clever to add something for superheroes and superheroines that do not want their identity public and teenagers. He thinks that they can help because they want to. They could do more save missions like giving disaster aid or something like that.”
They later wrote a few pages about it, even though Steve Rogers never talked to them or went to a single meeting. (He just never showed up)
The paintball game
They were six people and decided to play in two teams.
The first one was T’Challa, Tony and Shuri.
The second one was Vision, Rhodey and Pepper.
Shuri took Pepper out, but Vision took her out shortly after.
Rhodey and Vision were a great team, but they could not top T’Challa picking up Tony, so they were faster than the other team and had their backs covered. Shuri took a picture of them that day, she thought it looked incredibly funny and Vision`s and Rhodey`s faces where priceless.
They went out to dinner afterwards and decided that they should do something like that again.
2016
Tony wakes up screaming, he had been dreaming about Obi, Ty and all the other people who tried to kill him, even though he trusted them.
He looked next to himself, but Steve was not there.
“Steve?” He called.
“I’m here honey!”
Steve walked out of the bathroom in full captain America outfit. Tony must have looked confused cause Steve explained.
“You woke me up” He seemed angry about that, “And I could not go back to sleep so I decided I could go to the Compound and meet the rest before the mission.” Steve was definitely angry, probably just tired though. And in the next moment out of the door. Steve often had his owe nightmares, more often than Tony actually, and Tony then clammed him down and helped him to get to sleep.
Steve did not call him in the morning or that evening. Tony was starting to get worried, but he had learned pretty fast to not call Steve at missions. The first and only time Tony did it, Steve had yelled for an hour at him.
The next time he heard from Steve was when he watched the news and saw the disaster of Lagos. What also made matters worse was the fact that there was no statement from the avengers. People were out for the blood of Wanda Maximoff, calling her a witch and names that were not polite and rimed with witch.
So, he called Vision.
“Hey Vis, you know that people want to hurt Ms Maximoff right now, so just tell her to lay low until their anger faded or to make a public statement where she apologizes for it and states that it was an accident!”
“Yes, I think that would be a good idea. I will talk to her and Captain Rogers. Thank you, Mr Stark.”
“It is Tony, Vis and could you tell Steve to call me he is not picking up my calls and not answering my text messages.”
“Yes, I will tell him, but now I need to stop, we have got a meeting with Secretary Ross. Something about the accords. “
After the meeting Vision tried to cook for Wanda to lift her spirits and talk to her about the situation outside. It did not go well and then Clint showed up and Wanda put him through the floor. While lying in that hole he felt something strange, he knew his body was not demolished, but it felt like something was wrong with his internal system.
So, he called Mr Stark again, who was there in half an hour to check if everything was alright. He told he that he was fine, but after Vision explained the kind of pain and what happened. Mr Stark smiled at him sadly.
“Vision you trusted her, and she broke that trust. So, felling hurt is a normal reaction.”
That was the moment where Mr Stark became Tony, he treated Vision like a person not like a machine and told him everything he did not know without judging him.
Tony was watching the airport battle in an office building in Vienna, with the accord council. He flew here with Steve, but then the bombing happened and T’Challa’s father died, and Steve was running away after the Winter Soldier had attacked them. Then T’Challa came and brought him to this office with the council in order to keep them save. T’Challa then left to get the other avengers back. His team were Vision, Romanova, a woman from Egypt and a man from Japan. Tony had never met them before, but they made a decent team against Captain America, Maximoff and Wilson. After the council had evacuated the airport, they were watching the live footage. Steve had brought some random dude with a weird suit, who called himself ant-guy or was it bug-man? And well Barton, I thought he was retired? And his favourite sidekick Bucky Barnes.
All Tony had wanted to do today was asking Steve if they could get a wedding date set, cause ever time Tony wanted to talk about anything Steve was busy or did not want to talk about it. And the one-time Pepper had set a date, Steve was going on a mission for half a year without telling Tony till his department. Steve actually never told Tony about to duration or date of his missions.
Now he was watching his fiancé not pulling his punches even though he was fighting his friends.
Then Romanova jumped ship and used her widow bites on T’Challa. Tony truly hopped that he was not hurt.
After the council had asked him to go to the raft and get some information out of one of the avengers, he got harassed by them and had to go alone after Steve.
So, he got a jet and flew to Siberia, he never had to tell the rough avengers that he was flying with T’Challa on his jet.
“You know this could be dangerous?”
“It is Steve. we are just going in convincing him to sign and tell him that Barnes will get help and everything will work out. “
“You sure?”
“If something is going to attack us, I have got you and Steve, so two super soldiers to protect me.”
When Steve saw that Tony was the one coming in, he was feeling relieved, Tony was no danger without any technology or weapons. Also, he could take him out in seconds. But then T’Challa entered the bunker behind Tony and Steve got nervous, a fight with the prince would be hard but Steve had Bucky, he also felt a little bit jealous T’Challa was not allowed so close to Steve’s fiancé. How did these two even meet? Was Tony going behind his back and talking with the council, he knew that Tony thought the accords were good and necessary, but Steve never told him the truth about them or his parents. Or was Tony cheating? Steve needed to marry Tony as soon as possible and then keep him as close as possible. Steve fighting for their country and Tony staying at home and raising their kids.
“Steve, you need to come back and everything will be sorted out, okey?” Tony sounded confident but young. Steve actually did not know how old Tony was exactly, but he figured Tony could only be one year younger, he never looked it up. (He never thought that Tony was eleven years younger. (Tony was 25 at that time, Steve Rogers 36))
“Herr Stark let me show you something!”
And then the video started playing and Tony found out about his parents. Zemo tried to get away during it, but T’Challa caught him and brought him to the jet when Tony asked.
“Did you know?” He was trembling, Steve figured it was caused by the cold.
“I didn’t know it was him.” That was the next lie.
“Don’t bullshit me, Rogers. Did you know?”
“Yes”
And then Tony just pushed him and slapped Bucky in the face whispering:
“Do you even remember them?”
“I remember all of them” Bucky’s eyes were haunted.
Tony decided he needed to calm down, Barnes needed help so they would go onto the jets and fly back and then Barnes could go to therapy and Tony himself could go there too. And he would be officially dumping Captain America. But then Steve attacked him and after a second or so Tony saw black and passed out.
When T’Challa re-entered the bunker, he saw Barnes starring terrified at Rogers and Tony lying unconscious and bleeding on the floor. There was a huge wound across his chest, which looked like it was made by the shield. The Shield was lying two meters away from him, bloody.
T’Challa then offered that he could help Barnes, he just could not let him run around with those triggers in his head. And Barnes looked like he was going to throw up.
He just could not think of any other way to get Rogers to believe that he was a friend, so that he could get Tony to an hospital.
Later in the hospital
During Tony’s surgery something happened, Tony was awake during it. Apparently, he is immune against the anaesthesia, which was given him. So, he felt everything, but could not tell them or do something about it.
Two weeks later
Tony finally woke up. He woke up before, but he had a panic attack, which nearly opened the wound again, so he was placed under medical coma until his chest had healed. He now needed a power source to keep his heart beating, after he got home from the hospital, he build himself the arc-reactor. That was the birth of Iron Man.
Then he did what he did best: working.
He started working with the accords’ council, build the avengers initiative so that there were teams all over the world. Became second in command from one of the teams, his first in command was Rhodey. There were two teams stationed in America:
The first one:
Captain Carol Danvers, King T’Challa, Dr Stephen Strange, Vision, Hope Van Dyne
The second one:
Captain James Rhodes, Dr Anthony Stark, Dr Bruce Banner, Thor Odinson, Loki Laufeyson , the Valkyrie, Sergeant James Barnes
Bucky had decided after Shuri cured him, with the help of BARF, that he wanted to do some good in the world.
2017
Someone pardoned the rough avengers.
Steve was so happy; his team was finally going home. They could all see their families again. And he could finally marry Tony.
But of course, the council had to make it difficult.
They were separated into two different teams and only to train before the four(!) leaders decided if they were ready to go into the field. Scott had to retire because Hank would not give him the suit anymore. He had to talk to Hank because of that, but he would not even pick up the phone, or hung up once Steve told him who he was.
Now Steve, Nat, Wanda, and Clint were put into the first team, Wanda had to train with the wizard, and it was highly unlikely for her to go out on the field any time soon.
Sam was put on the other team.
Sam loved his new team, while he was on the run, he had started getting doubts. Scott and him often talked about it. The whole thing was more to protect Bucky and then Wanda. And after he really read the accords, he agreed with the new version of it. Now there were less parts to imprison superhumans and more how the avengers should work, a cain of command. But the most part was more human rights for superhumans.
First day with his new team
When he arrived on the training grounds the first one, he saw was Bucky. He looked healthy and happy. He also asked Sam to go out with him in the evening. Sam said yes, he liked Bucky he was fun and charming, and nice in the five minutes they had talked to each other.
Then Bruce, Thor, Loki, and the Valkyrie (call me Val) showed up. They easily included him into their team. Then the Captain showed up. Sam was surprised to see Tony Stark’s best friend walk into the room with the war machine amour.
“Sam Wilson welcome on the team! I hope we can take you to missions soon.”
The only one missing was the second in command Iron Man. He showed up a minute later throw the window.
“Morning”
“It is five p. m.”
“It is three in the morning”.
“It is not. Now that everyone is here, we can start the training.”
Sam watched as Iron Man removed his mask and revealed Tony Stark. He really should have watched the news while being on the run. But they had spent most of the time in a house without internet or electricity. Since Wanda tended to have power outburst they had to stay away from society.
After the training Sam decided he loved his new team. His so-called mentor was Bruce. A mentor was the person he could go to and complain about everything and the mentor would also explain everything to him.
His team was fun, caring and chaotical organised.
First training day for the other group
Steve hated this new team. No one followed his orders and Danvers was definitely unfit as a leader and the second in command did not even show up. Something with family problems or so. The wizard who was training Wanda was rude and should not be allowed to be a teacher for such a young girl. Vision did not even want to talk to them. The mentor system was also insulting, they could fight and were already Avengers, it made sense for new members but not for them.
After a few days, the rudeness of the wizard was getting to much for Wanda and since Danvers would not listen to them, they decided to call the other two team leaders.
The first one did not pick up. The second did.
“I would like to talk to you about something team related.”
“Just give me your name, please!” He was definitely yelling into the phone and in the background there was loud music. Steve did not know why he did not turn it off.
“Captain Steve Rogers”
“Mr Rogers, can I call you back we are on a mission right now, so I can’t really help you right now.”
“This is very urgent.”
“Have you tried Captain Danvers?”
“She won’t take the matter seriously. “
“And King T’Challa?”
“He did not pick up. And the last Captain didn’t either.”
“I will call you back in a few hours, Mr Rogers.”
“It is Captain.”
“Goodbye.”
Later
“Mr Rogers, now tell me about the problem.”
“It is about Strange he doesn’t treat Wanda like he should.”
“That does not sound like Dr Strange, and why did Ms Maximoff not phone herself.”
“She is so young.”
“Okey, what exactly is Dr Strange doing.”
“He is not allowing Wanda to use her power full time and also does not let her use them on other people.”
“So, Dr Strange wants Ms Maximoff to train not only her power but also other things. Did I get that right?”
“No, she is not allowed to use her power outside of training. And he is just rude.”
“First that is a security measure, when she has proven that she can control her powers and is stable enough she will be allowed to use her powers all the time. And secondly what do you want me to do about Dr Strange?”
“Sam said that the second team has a wizard too. Maybe he could be her trainer.”
“I will ask Mr Laufeyson. But I cannot promise anything. Given that he requested not to be her mentor.”
“I am sure he will say yes. Wanda is just a little sweet girl.”
“Mr Rogers, she is 28. She is an adult.”
“She is a kid. And it is Captain.”
Steve was getting annoyed, that could not call him by his proper title and had not even told him his name.
“Mr Rogers it is not. You do not have a military title and you do not have an avengers’ title.
And personally, I have a question, how do you claim that Ms Maximoff is a kid when you dated someone two years younger than her, not long ago.”
“I have no idea who you are talking about!”
“You dated Tony Stark didn’t you.”
“Yes, but he is only one year or so younger than me!”
“Or so? How long were you, his boyfriend? Well anyway I will talk to Mr Laufeyson and inform you about the outcome.”
At least the guy was not as rude as the other team leaders, but he sounded young.
The next day
Tony was walking to the rooms of team cap. He was wearing a nice suit and sunglasses. The nanotech suit underneath. Loki said that he could start teaching Maximoff, but if she ignored him, he would stop. Which would get her kicked out of the program.
“Good Morning.”
Rogers eyes lit up, and he got up.
“So, I will get straight to the point. Please sit back down Mr Rogers.”
“Tony.” Rogers did not what he was told.
“Please do not interrupt me and do not get closer to me or it will have consequences.”
“But Tony”
“Mr Laufeyson will start teaching Ms Maximoff put if you willingly ignore his orders, you will no longer be part of the avengers’ initiative. You will also be placed on the other team under Captain Rhodes and my command. Do you want these changes to be made?”
Maximoff’s power was whirling around.
“Out of security reasons you are not allowed to use your powers outside of the training.”
“Are you afraid Stark?” She definitely sounded insane.
“So, you do not want to be part of the other team? But then you will have to work with Dr Strange again.”
Rogers tried to calm her down.
“Tony is it possible that I or Nat can stay with her.”
“Firstly, it is Dr Stark or Mr Stark. Second there is no possibility for Mr Laufeyson to be placed on the other team.”
“Could I change then with her.”
He was still hugging Wanda. At least he now did not try to touch Tony.
“I am sorry Mr Rogers that is not possible.”
Before Rogers or someone else could say something, Tony said:
“Please let us know your decision till 5 am, just tell it Captain Danvers.”
With that he turned around and left. Or he wanted to.
Maximoff threw her power at him. Tony landed on the ground, got up and turned around.
“Now the offer is of the table, if you decided to do something like that again, your powers will be taken away and you will be out of the avengers program.”
Maximoff just started attacking.
Sam watched the fight Tony told her to stop. Wanda did not. Tony then shot her down with his repulsors.
“Tony she is just a kid!” Steve sounded surprised.
“She is two years older than him!” Dr Strange walked in.
“She was warned about the consequences.”
Dr Strange then did some sort of gesture with his hands, which released a golden circle which flew to Wanda’s head. Wanda tried to attack Dr Strange instantly, but her powers were no longer working. She started crying.
“Give her back her powers.”
“She signed the accords and ignored warnings so now she is no longer an Avengers trainee and will be face a court for her crimes. “
With that Strange led Wanda out of the room.
“Tony, do something!”
“Is it enough if I press charges against her or should I also inform the judge that she never had a visa?”
“What? Tony! You need to help her.”
“I am sorry I need to go now; my boyfriend is waiting for me.”
“What I am right here.” Steve was lost, how could Tony act so heartless.
“I see that you are here.”
“And Wanda is just a kid.”
“Rogers she is two years older than me.”
“No, you are not!”
“Well, you definitely know it better.”
With that he walked out even though Rogers called after him.
