Note
TW: Slight mentions of death, failure, depression. Please tell me if I'm missing anything.

Red.

Anger. Danger. Pain. War. Hate. Passion. Love.

Anger at the mugger. Anger at myself.

Danger infecting the lives of everyday people. Danger inflicted onto myself.

Pain that people go through. Pain that I take instead.

War between people. War that I fight.

Hate towards those who make lives harder. Hate towards myself for not saving that last person.

Passion towards my job. Passion from the crowds.

Love from that anger, danger, pain, war, hate, passion. Love to the people.

Blue.

Sadness. Depression. Trust. Calm. Peace.

Sadness that comes knowing I couldn't save everyone. Sadness knowing I never will.

Depression from the weight on my shoulders. Depression that plagues my everyday life.

Trust that the people give me. Trust in my ability to save the day.

Calm that comes after the job's done. Calm when I know that I did the best I could do.

Peace that comes from the sadness, depression, trust, calm. Peace in the city and for myself.

That is what makes Spider-Man, not the powers, not the gadgets. The suit may not be everything about me, but the suit comes certain aspects I couldn't express before. You take away my suit and you take away the hope that comes with it. So go ahead and take it away. Strip the city of it's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Just know what you are doing. Know that even if it's taken away, I will continue living the Spider-Man life, but the rest of New York might not know that. They might not know that I'm there for them, watching, protecting. So think about what you'd be doing, sir. Think about what the suit does for the city and the people.
