Chapter 1

Tony rubbed his face tiredly as he tried to pay attention to what the kid was saying. He had been feeling off for about a week or so now, he had simply put it down to too many all nighters in the lab. But as nausea bubbled up in his stomach, he got the overwhelming urge to just rest his eyes for a moment.

"-And then in Spanish, Harley was making us laugh so much because have you ever heard him try to speak Spanish with his accent? I'm pretty sure he made his accent thicker to make me laugh, that's so sweet don't you think, Mr Stark?" Peter rattled on and on about his boyfriend Harley, they had only been together for a few months but it was clear to anyone they were in love even if they hadn't said the L word to each other yet. Honestly, Tony was fairly certain he has created a monster when he had introduced the two teenagers to each other.

"Mr Stark? Are you alright, is this another one of your migraine things?" Peter asked worriedly, noticing that his mentor had put his head in his hands, "Should I stop talking, I'll stop talking. Should I get Mr Rogers? FRIDAY alert Mr Rogers."

"Captain Rogers has been alerted, SpiderBaby."

The teenager glared at Tony, "I thought you said you would reprogram that nickname."

"No." Tony groaned, lifting his head and taking a deep breath as he felt his stomach tighten, "FRIDAY dear, I'm fine. No need to alert Steve."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the nausea increases tenfold and he jumped up from his chair and ran over to a trash can in the corner of the lab, vomiting up his lunch from earlier that day.

Peter came rushing over, wanting to comfort the man who was obviously in distress, he hoped Mr Rogers got here quickly. Who knows what could be wrong with Mr Stark? Oh god, what if he was poisoned? What if it was some sort of alien thing?

His internal stress was interrupted by the sound of the lab door opening and Steve Rogers came in with a concerned look on his face, his eyes scanned the room until he found his husband huddled over a trash can, clutching his stomach and Peter looking worried.

"Tony!" Steve exclaimed, rushing over and helping his husband to stand properly, "What's going on? FRIDAY said you needed me."

"I'm fine." Tony insisted, shrugging off his husband who had an arm round his shoulders. "Just threw up, is all."

If Tony were honest, he was more embarrassed that he had blown chunks in front of the kid even though Peter didn't seem to care. He loved Steve with everything he had but the man could be a worry wart, especially when it came to Tony, he normally found it endearing but not when he was so embarrassed to be seen as weak in front of his mentee.

"People who are fine usually don't throw up for no reason." Steve replied pointedly. "Let me take you to the med bay."

"Come on, I don't need the med bay. I had a sandwich for lunch that was probably off or something."

"Tony." Steve began with a knowing look in his eye, "You and I both know this isn't the first time you've vomited this week. You don't want to go to the med bay? Fine, but at least go let Bruce check you out."

Tony was about to protest some more when Peter, who had been watching the whole exchange rather awkwardly, spoke up. "Please Mr Stark, I'm really worried about you. Can you see Doctor Banner, please? For me?" He turned on the puppy dog eyes, which was a low blow but Peter knew how stubborn the billionaire could be.

Those eyes were always Tony's weakness, "Ugh, fine." he begrudgingly agreed, "I'll see Bruce, but when this comes back to be nothing I get to say 'I told you so'."

Peter stuck his tongue out at the man which Tony reciprocated.

Steve rolled his eyes at the two but was happy Tony had agreed to visit Bruce, "You two are so immature."

The two turned and stuck their tongues out at him in response.

Tony laid down in Bruce's lap, feeling uncomfortably vulnerable in this position but Steve was right by his side so he knew everything would be okay.

"What are you your symptoms, Tony?" Bruce asked, fiddling with some equipment.

"Nausea, I guess." He replied, "And I've thrown up a bit."

"How many times?" The doctor asked, taking the man's blood pressure at the same time.

"Um, four this week."

Steve suddenly snapped his gazes to his husband on the bed, "I only knew about two of those times. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Didn't want you to worry."

"So four times this week?" Bruce questioned, "You do know its only Tuesday, right?"

Tony nodded slowly.

"How long have you been feeling like this?"

He paused to think, it was really since his and Steve's wedding anniversary which was about, "Two weeks."

"What were you doing two weeks ago? Any missions, eat anything weird, come into contact with anything suspicious?"

Tony shook his head slowly, he really hadn't done anything out of his usual routine. He hadn't been on a mission in five or so months, ever since Harley moved to New York because he wanted to be there for both his kids.

Doctor Banner's eyes suddenly widened whilst he listened to his stethoscope.

"What?" Steve asked, worried about his husband, "What is it? What have you found?"

"No that can't be right," Bruce murmured to himself, "Let me just do an ultrasound to check."

"Check what?" Tony and Steve both said in unison.

"I don't want to freak you out, that's why I'm checking."

A nail biting five minutes later, Bruce was looking at an ultrasound scan on Tony's stomach which undoubtedly had a baby inside it.

"Bruce tell us what's wrong with Tony!" Steve snapped, he couldn't be polite right now, not when his husband could be in danger.

Tony sensed his worry and squeezed his hand in reassurance.

"Uh, I don't know how to say this." Bruce started, "You'll probably think I'm kidding but I've got the proof right here."

"Spit it out, Green." Tony insisted.

Bruce barely concealed his grin, "Congratulations Tony, you are pregnant."

...

"I'm sorry?" Steve said after a minute of silent shock.

"What the fuck?!" Tony exclaimed, "How-How is that possible? I'm a man, I don't have a fucking reproductive system!"

Bruce shrugged, "My guess is as good as yours, maybe its something to do with the super soldier serum altering Steve's sperm. But there's no doubt about it, you're about three weeks pregnant and the baby seems perfectly healthy although you should probably lay off the caffeine for now."

Tony and Steve turned to look at each other in shock, Steve's eyes were drawn to Tony's bare stomach. They had created life, there was a little boy or girl in there that they were going to raise. Be parents too. Although Peter and Harley were already their kids, they were already pre teens when they came into the couples lives, this was a baby.

Tony was the first to break the silence, "Pete and Harley get to be big brothers." he said somewhat tearfully.

Steve nodded, too shocked to reply. A baby, he thought, how about that.
