Chapter 2

Jade was working late as her shift changed due to school. She was just done serving a customer when Elora came in and sat on the chair, visibly angry. "What's wrong?"Jade asked.

"I had to serve some stupid drunken," Jade gave her a sympathetic smile. They were working at a club, they had to deal with such people. "They made of me, they-" Tears formed in Elora's eyes. Jade moved out and put her hand on her shoulder. "Where are they?" She asked angrily.

She pointed in the direction of the dance floor. Jade grabbed her arm and took her toward the dance floor. "Where are taking me?"

"No one makes my friend cry....can you see them anywhere?!" She shouted. "Yeah! Those," Elora replied and pointed to a nearby group of people dancing within the crowd.

"You stay here, I am gonna go deal with them," Jade went to them and put a hand on the nearest person's shoulder. She was ready to punch the person's face but when the person turned around, her hands unclenched.

"Oh, hey...school g-girl, what's up?" Kit slurred and put her hand on Jade's arm. Jade wasn't going to hit her but she was going to hold her accountable. "You need to apologize to my friend,"

"W-who?" Kit's choked out

"The girl over there," She showed Elora. "Why...s-should I?" Kit asked with a cocky smile. The smile made Jade fall onto her knees and eat Kit out. "You know why?" Kit raised her eyebrow and muttered something.

Kit shook her head and turned around to dance with her friends. Jade pulled her away from the crowd. "Listen Kit, I don't want to say something or do something bad to you,"

"I-I did nothing," Kit struggled to maintain her balance and eyes open. "Are you even old enough to be here?"

"I am," Kit slurred. "In a few months," Kit giggled, her head falling on Jade's chest. Jade stopped breathing as she took in the warmth of Kit's body.

"You will have to apologize or else you and your friends would have to get kicked out,"

"You...you" Kit poked Jade's chest."have no reason to kick me out"

"But I do have your real age," Jade held Kit's hands to avoid further touching and bend down to her eye level. Kit scoffed."I don't even do...that when I am at fault, you think I-I am gonna do that when I am not at fault..." Kit said her eyes barely opening.

Kit freed herself, Jade stopped her before she could walk away. "Apologize or out," Kit looked at her not believing her words. Jade yelled, "Call for the secur-!"

"Shh, no, I am gonna...apologize, cool?" Jade walked with Kit behind her and stopped beside Elora. "Apologize," She crossed her arms over her chest.

"I...am s-sorry," Kit said "for whatever I didn't do," She mumbled the last part but everyone heard it. "Stop bothering me now," Kit said and left.

"She wasn't the one who made fun of me,"

"I knew it! I knew Kit would never do something like that," Jade punched the air. "Shit, she would hate me now, wouldn't she?" Jade asked Elora who had no idea what she was talking about.

"Yeah, after work, I will explain it to you after work," Jade said and left for bartending.

She told Elora about how she felt about Kit from the moment she saw her and how she acted with her in the bar and Elora responded "I would say, apologize to her and see what happens, she looked so drunk she might not even remember it,"

"What if she doesn't forgive me?" Jaade said staring into the sky. "She would,"

"But what if she didn't?" Elora responded "then, she is not worth your time," Jade and Elora stayed quiet and enjoyed the view of the sky.

The next day she waited in the hallway for Kit whilst looking at the notice board. For the seniors, selections were going on for sports, music, drama, etc. Jade had no interest in music and drama but she can try sports for some time pass.

Jade saw Kit walking in the hallway with the long haired-man. Before Jade could catch up to her she was out of sight. She could talk to her in class.

All the seats around Kit were already filled. She felt Kit's eyes glaring at her and then getting rolled. She seems mad. She should be, I would be too. Jade thought. She waited nervously for the class to end so she could apologize to Kit.

When the bell rang, she couldn't wait any longer, so she went and stood in front of Kit's seat. "I am so so sorry, Kit, there is a huge misunderstanding,"

"Save it," Kit stood up with her back. Jade came in front of her. "Please, listen to you," She pleaded. "There were so people making fun of my friend, I thought it was you, That’s the oy reason, I behaved that way," Jade said slowly and softly trying to make Kit understand.

" 'Kay," Kit ran a hand through her hair and walked out of the class. Jade followed her "Kit, I am really sorry,"

"I have really bad hangover, please leave me alone," Kit said on the verge of yelling. Jade was disturbed the whole day. She didn't know how to make Kit forgive her.

Jade was eating lunch in the cafeteria and she felt someone sitting beside her. She continued eating her food. "Hi," She looked up and saw Kit. "H-Hi,"She choked on her food.

Kit grinned and passed her a tissue. Jade wiped her mouth. "Sorry," Kit said. Jade knotted her eyebrows. "I bashed out on you," Jade shrugged it off. "Again, I am sorry for what I did last night,"

"Nah, it's cool, I appreciate your bravery, not many people can stand up for your friend," Kit says and stands up.

"And thanks too," Kit announced. Jade turned her head around "what for?"

Kit spun around and smiled cockily "-1" She spun around again to leave but she stopped again and walked back to her. "Would you like to hang out after school?" Kit crooked her head.

"Of course" Jade replied immediately. "Will meet you after school then," Kit said while leaving. Jade squealed happily, the fun had just begun.
