Skye Interlude
Skye had had a very eventful few days, and now she was standing outside Ace’s aunt’s house, and Coulson was offering her a job. She had never had an actual job before. She’d worked for the Rising Tide, but that didn’t really count since she never got paid. She really wanted the security that came with having a job, and she knew the people that she would be working with were nice. For her, this was a dream come true, but she couldn’t leave Pan by themself. She would have to bring Pan with her.
Sky knew that Coulson would never agree to bringing a kid on top secret government missions, so she would have to trick him somehow.
“You’d be a great help. And you’d be front row center at the strancest show on Earth, which is, after all, what you wanted” and dammnit Coulson was right, he was offering her all she’d ever wanted. Skye could feel the USB with all the information about her. If she was actually part of the team, she would have a much greater chance of finding out who her parents were. Skye had made up her mind. She grinned at Coulson.
“I was able to hack SHIELD from my van. Are you gonna show me something new?” the call for the 084 comes in, and god does Skye want to know. “Okay, yes I do want to know. I’ll join your team, on one condition”
“What’s that?”
“Everything that is inside my van, I’m allowed to keep on the Bus”
Coulson nods slowly “that can be arranged”
“Do you promise?”
“Yes I promise” Skye lets out a sigh of relief. Now she just has to hope that Pan stays in the van when the SHIELD agents go pick it up.
