Chapter 5
Steve hums as he picks up Kennedy’s toys. His boy was following him, clutching his blankie. When he finished he went to the kitchen to grab some water, Kennedy followed, not wanting his daddy to leave his line of sight.
In the kitchen Steve took slow sips of water. Kennedy looked ready to fall asleep, his eyes were drooping and he was swaying in the same motion Steve used to do when he was pregnant. He took another sip as Bucky entered.
“I don’t know how you did it Steve,” he mutters “she’s been kicking me in the kidney all day.”
“It’ll be over soon,” he assures his friend. Kennedy stares at Bucky’s abdomen. Bucky chuckles as he picks up his godson. Kennedy snuggles up to his godfather.
“Where’s the baby Kennedy?” Bucky asks, Kennedy frowns a little. Staring at Bucky’s chest the toddler gives a firm squeeze to his chest.
Steve snorts “I guess that works.”
