Welcome to the Stark Estate

Fury left the Director’s office, still processing everything he’d heard. He’s always known Stark was a bastard, but he wished the poor kid hadn’t suffered because of it. Even some of the worst people in history didn’t stoop to abusing their own children.

So far Fury has met Stark ten times, which should make him unable to go undercover. But luckily Howard Stark is a narcissistic fucker who never remembers the names or faces of those he considers below him. Every time they’ve met he’s had to introduce himself, and not once has the snake looked him in the eyes.

He quickly goes to his room and starts packing for his mission. The plan is for him to get a job at the Stark Mansion. As much as he’ll hate every second of waiting on that motherfucker, he knows it’s the only way he’ll be able to get close to Stark. Besides it will keep him closest to the action, and the evidence.

The Director said there was a job opening for a ‘Houseman’, which sounds like rich people bullshit. But what the mission requires is what he’ll do. The Director set up a two week training course to teach him what he’ll need to know to keep cover. Director Carter seems to think that’s not long enough to master it, but time is of the essence and it doesn’t need to be perfect. Especially because she’s convinced he can get help from inside the house. He doesn’t know why her contacts can’t do this themselves, but he won’t throw away an opportunity to impress her.

Though he thinks, if he screws up and the kid suffers because of him, she will without a doubt kill him. But it’s well worth the risk. He zips his bag and throws it over his shoulder, ready to go.

**********TIME SKIP**********

Nathan Fuller drives through the gates of Stark Mansion, parks and gets out of his car to meet his new boss. The butler is a roughly 5’9” thin man with light brown hair and light green eyes. He stands, back straighter than a ruler, by the door of the manor. His arms are held at 90 degree angles behind his back and his heels are nearly pressed together. His dark blue suit practically gleams in the sun, complemented well by his red tie.

“Welcome to the Stark Estate, Mr. Fuller. I am Edwin Jarvis, I am in charge of the estate as well as a personal attendant to Mr. Stark and Mr. Stark the younger.” The man doesn't move at all, besides his mouth, as his smooth voice carries over. His British accent is distinct and cutting, present in every word.

“Happy to be here Mr. Jarvis. Where and when do I start?” Edwin nods at me, and with a sharp motion I slam my car door shut. Time to get to work.
