Summary
You are the most capable being alive, a perfectly imperfect monster of a ... not person. You want to be though. You want to be a person, but your frame of reference is skewed. Can your predetermined soulmates fix what the world broke? Are you too broken to be fixed?A/n: My personal take on a Marvel ABO Story. The first few chapers may come off as little dark and violent, but I promise you the whole story is not.

Blown Away

*sound of an old camera click*

You carefully open your eyes. The falling-apart wood ceiling stares at you just as you stare at it like you do every morning. Something about today does not feel right. You don't feel right.

The first thing you do before trying to figure out the strange feeling is to figure out where Alpha is. Hopefully, he is not coming to wake you up early like he does some days. Straining your ears, you only hear Britney in the kitchen. The chimes that she made are ringing outside and the wind is strong, so you cannot hear what she is making from the room over.

The feeling you felt before is getting stronger. You do not sit up in the bed because that would alert the house to you being awake. This may be something you want to sleep off and not address with the entire household.

That’s Right! Alpha went on a trip this weekend, so it is just you and Britney. That is a relief. Due to this fact, you do decide to sit up, but this was a mistake. The blood rushing to your head is overwhelming and the feeling of a pit in your stomach is growing. You know this feeling. This is the feeling Britney told you about.

You are warm, too warm, but it is mid-May. You are sweating too much and you feel your cognitive thoughts begin to lessen. It is getting fuzzy which is odd because by now it has been roughly seven minutes since you woke up. You swing your legs off the bed and try to regain your breath which by now has gone into full panic mode. You are wet and not in your hair kind of way. You wince as you do so. The bruises from your back and thighs still haven’t gone away

That’s not possible. You are an Alpha. You are an Alpha. You presented three years ago when you were ten. Alpha was there. Alpha was so happy that you were an alpha that he finally smiled at you for once. That was a good day. It was the only day you have ever seen him or Britney smile. You wanted to see more of that. Alpha is going to be so upset with you and Britney when he finds out you are an omega. Is changing even possible

Slowly as if something would shatter into pieces, you get up. As you do so, Britney walks into the room and suddenly you hear the sound of broken glass on the ground. Britney looks at you and then down at the now-broken glass of water she had brought for you. Her eyes widen and she rushes to grab you. You grab both your shoulders with a look that can only be taken as pure panic and fear.

You both know what this could mean.

“It’s okay, Angel. It’s okay.” She stutters but you know she doesn't even believe that herself.

“No no no. You'll be okay.” she says but still, you think she is saying that more to herself than to you. She wipes away a tear you didn't know you had. She smiles at you and grabs your hand. She takes you outside and leads you to the storm cellar.

“Angel, you have to go down there.”

“But Mega, I don't want to” you respond.

“I don’t care, Angel. Go now”, She all but shoves you down the cellar. You trip and fall but manage to break your fall with your hands.

Just then, the sound of a vehicle can be heard from a while away. Alpha is returning early. If he finds---------------------------------------

*Cue modern static noise*

The heat is overtaking you now, but you need to leave. You look around the room and the image is horrid. Somehow in your twisted mind, you find peace in it. You hear the sirens screaming out so you know you must leave soon. \

With calculated moves, you step over the bruised and bloodied body of Britney and head towards the door. She was a bitch anyway. You turn around and smile. You stare at the body of your Alpha, hanging by his own belt, the belt he used to kill Britney, hanging from the ceiling. You did that.

You back around and as you are about to walk out you see the mirror. Alpha never lets you use the mirror but due to the wind blowing through the window of your shattered home and now shattered life, you can see. You walk towards it. You have never seen yourself before, but when you do you can feel the rage overtake you. The heat you were once experiencing a few seconds ago is dying out.

Blood is still dripping down your face from the broken glass shards lodged at the top of your head. He did that to you. He should pay. You grab a pair of scissors from the desk and make sure Alpha is dead. Repeatedly. Grabbing the justice you deserve. You feel nothing but relief despite the horrid actions you are doing

When you decide to leave the home you notice some letters on Alpha’s desk. It is all white and perfect. The note was typed, you knew, but you could not read. You did recognize the letterhead though. It was a black skull with tentacles coming out of it in a circle. Alpha has mentioned it before. HYDRA. He would threaten you with them when you would smile or play out in the yard.

“Hydra will come to get you if you keep playing. You will not smile in this house,” he would say in Sokovian

The body in the corner of your eye moved, and although you realistically knew it was from the wind of the impending storm, it was too much. You grabbed the letter and ran outside. You planned to go into the shed and grab the saw, but the noise you hear catches your attention. You see it.

A large tornado is coming at you. Without a second thought, you run into the cellar alone and without either of your parents. You lock the door and cry as the whole world shakes about you. This goes on for quite some time until you fall asleep.

When you wake up, you realize you are still alive. You creep out of the cellar to find...nothing. The house, the barn, the fences that kept the raccoons out were all gone. Your parents’ bodies were gone with it. The sun was shining.

You face the dirt road and start walking. You walk past the now ruined cornfields of your family’s farm. You keep walking.

Do you deserve this? No

All seven pairs of eyes stare at Alyssa with wide eyes. Pepper stands up and declares that she has a meeting to attend to and that she will let us all get to know each other. Before she leaves, she gives Alyssa a warm smile which she attempts and fails to return.

There is an uncomfortable silence in the air. No one dares to speak. Is it normally this awkward? Alyssa sits back down, not knowing what to do. She stares at her mates while they stare back at her. She meets Bucky’s eyes and quickly avoids them. After a moment that is a bit too long, Steve clears his throat.

“Would you like to come upstairs and we can meet somewhere a little less formal?” Steve asks. Alyssa nods and stands up. He motions towards the door and everyone files out. There still is some unexplainable silence. They head into an elevator much larger than before when Alyssa gets an idea to maybe make the situation less unbearable.

“Steve...er..Captain Rogers, why did you crash the plane into the ice?” Alyssa asks. She knows it is an odd question but hopefully saying something unexpected will change the tone of the conversation or lack thereof.

“Umm… There were bombs on board.” Steve replies after a minute. As she expected, everyone is caught off guard with the question.

“Bombs on board”, Alyssa repeats. “So…” Pause. Alyssa is trying to think of how to word this without coming off as rude. “Why didn’t you just jump out before it hit? I’ve seen you do it before on TV?”

Steve looks over at you from where he stands in the front, not truly knowing how to answer. The other packmates are a mix of still looking questioningly at you, accusingly at Steve, or are trying to hold it in. There are at least a few snickers.

“The TV won’t tell you everything, darling. This man here can be a little on the...what’s the word?... dense side of things?” Bucky chimes in, grabbing Steve by the shoulder, receiving a glare in response and a very loud chuckle from the back somewhere. Alyssa does not know who made it but her best guess is Tony.

As the doors open, everyone walks out. Alyssa’s plan of lightening the atmosphere has succeeded as far as she can tell. She is led to a living room of sorts, although it is much larger than the one she remembers as a kid.

The others sit down on one side and Alyssa ends up sitting on one of the ottomans. Steve is sitting off the side when he begins to speak.

“Well, I guess standard formal introductions are in order. Hello, my name is Steve Rogers and I am the head alpha of the pack. I just want to put it out there that I have been waiting a long time to finish my pack as you probably already know. I am Captain America. Ya know stars and stripes” Steve said with a wink. It was a failed wink, but since Alyssa was the only one who saw it, she did not comment on it.

“I’m Tony Stark. You’ve probably seen my name on the building.”

“Bruce Banner. I am a beta.” Bruce said quickly. He still seemed unsure of what to do.

“Hi, I'm Clint. Beta. Hawkeye.” He said. He was very confident, especially going right after Bruce.

“Hello, My name is Destiny. Destiny Hawthorne. I am an omega.” Destiny spoke with a mild southern accent. Alyssa already knew she was from the Atlanta area, but it was nice hearing the accent itself.

“Natasha. I am an alpha. You are very pretty.”

“My name is Bucky. My real name is James Barnes. I am also an alpha” Bucky said, thoughtfully. Bucky did not know what he was feeling. From the minute he sat down, he stared very intensely at Alyssa and he honestly himself did not know why. Alyssa could see the slight inner conflict Bucky was having but she was going to put it out there herself, partially because it hurt too much seeing him not remember.
