Chapter 5
For the past two weeks, Sam was juggling with school, work and dates with Bucky. When Sam started his job at Starbucks, Bucky came everyday to help and train him, even if Natasha was there. Bucky would always walk Sam home and they would talk and sip on their drinks. They would work together on some days, especially Saturday they would take longer shifts. Natasha didn’t mind the extra manpower. School was manageable as it was still the start so no much projects and Sam mostly had morning classes while Bucky had afternoon classes. Sam normally took the evening or closing shifts so Bucky could send him back, so he would take naps while Bucky was in class.
When Bucky had morning shifts, he would walk Sam to class then head off to work. Bucky would then pack some lunch for Sam and leave it in his room then head off to class. While Sam would prepare dinner for Bucky at work as he drops by to do his homework or just help Sam or Natasha. Bucky had requested for the weekend off for both of them for Sam’s birthday weekend, he had made plans for the both of them.
“Yo Tons, you got a sec?” Bucky calls Tony on his phone.
“For my boyfriend’s bestfriend, any time.” Tony chuckles on the other line.
“I need your help, for this weekend. Does your parents own a resort in Belleayre?” Bucky asked.
“Oh, the ski resort, yup we have a couple of cabins under our names. You need one this weekend?” Tony asked him.
“Yeah, it’s Sam’s 18th birthday. Thinking of a romantic getaway.” Bucky said nervously.
“Considered yourself booked. I’ll set up the rooms for you, I’ll prepare everything for you okay. You need condoms?” Tony asked him.
“I’m not sure if he’s ready for sex, but you could prepare some for me. Thanks Tony, I owe you one.” Bucky said.
“The only thing you owe me is being my best man at my wedding one day.” Tony chuckles.
“Yeah, sure thing, tell me when the dummy decides to propose.” Bucky chuckles.
“He took forever to confess his feelings for me, so I think it will take me a long while before I get the ring.” Tony sighs.
“Bro come on; you know him. He has never date anyone before. But at least you both are already banging.” Bucky laughs.
“Well, that’s the good thing. Haha, I got to go now, Steve’s here.” Tony said.
“Sure thing. Enjoy yourself. Tell Stevie I said hi.” Bucky said before he hangs up the call.
“Was that Tony?” Sam asked as he walks up to Bucky’s table.
“Yeah, we’re planning something this weekend.” Bucky replies.
“Okay sure thing, I’m sleeping over my aunt’s house this Thursday since I have no classes on Friday. You picking me up from there?” Sam said as he placed the drink on the table.
“Sure, thing love. I’ll pack our bags alright. I’ll meet you after class then.” Bucky said.
“Okay babe. I have to get back to work, you need anything babe?” Sam asked.
“Yeah, a kiss from you baby.” Bucky pouts, Sam chuckles and lean in and kiss Bucky’s soft lips.
It was Friday morning; Bucky had left his class and rush back to his room. It was 11am when he reached Sam’s aunt place. He parks his bike and calls Sam. He texted Tony that he was on his way, and to check if the room was ready. Tony replied him with photos of the room that was decorated with balloons and flowers. Tony had given them the night alone; he said the gang would be there tomorrow to celebrate with them which Bucky was okay with. Jarvis would be there to cook for them a romantic dinner, just then Sam had already come out.
“Happy birthday my love.” Bucky greets him, with a kiss on his cheeks
“Thank you, baby.” Sam grins at him.
“You ready?” Bucky asked as he hands Sam a helmet.
“I was born ready.” Sam chuckles as Bucky helps him with the helmet.
Sam knew how to use the helmet but he likes it when Bucky puts it on for him. Their 2-hour ride was fast, next thing Sam knew they had reached the ski resort. Sam was enjoying the view as Bucky held his hand and they both walked in to the reception area to register everything and took their keys. They held hands as they were driven up to their resort on a buggy. As Bucky unlocks the door of their cabin, the smell of food greets them. Sam was taken aback, the whole place smells good and was well decorated, Jarvis greets them and took their bag.
“Your room is ready sir.” Jarvis said as he points them to the main bedroom.
“Thank you Jarvs, you can leave us alone now.” Bucky said with a smile.
“Sure thing, anything you can give me a ring. I’m in the next cabin. Have fun boys.” Jarvis said as he winks at Bucky and left them alone
“Baby, close your eyes.” Bucky instructed as he held out a blindfold for Sam.
“Okay baby.” Sam grins as he took it and covered his eyes.
“Okay on the count of three then you can take off the blindfold okay.” Bucky said as he guides Sam into the room, Sam just nods.
“Okay, in three, two, one. Open your eyes baby.” Bucky said, Sam gasp.
“Baby!” Sam nearly screamed.
The room was well decorated, balloons were everywhere, confetti on the floor. The words ‘Happy Birthday Love’ was hanging by the bed frame. There was a cake in the middle of the bed, streamers on the bed frame, the room smell of vanilla.
“Come on baby, time to light the candle and make a wish.” Bucky said as he pulls Sam over.
“Come on baby make a wish.” Bucky said as he lights the candle.
“Okay, I wished to ace my exams, to sister to stay out of trouble and lastly, for Bucky to officially be my boyfriend.” Sam wished as he blows out the candle.
“I can’t grant two of your wishes, but I can grant the last one.” Bucky said as he leans closer to Sam, kissing his lips softly.
“As much as I enjoy this, could we take some photos first?” Sam pouts, Bucky chuckles a nod at him.
Sam got on the bed and took some photos alone, then Bucky joined him. They decided to eat their lunch that Jarvis had made them, and then decided to cut the cake, as Sam pulls out the candle, it was attached to something in the cake, as Sam pulls out, it was attached to money, Sam continues to pull it out, and it started out with a dollar note and end up with hundred-dollar bills. Tony really outdid himself this time. After lunch, they decided to lay in front of the fire place, enjoying the warm fire as they lay in each other’s arm.
“You want to head to the bedroom?” Bucky offered; Sam just nods at him.
They walked hand in hand into the room, Bucky cleared out the confetti on the bed and help Sam into bed, he too got into bed next to him. Sam lays on Bucky’s shoulder as Bucky held him close. Sam leans up and kissed Bucky’s cheeks, moving slowly to his lips. Bucky kissed him back softly, slowly Sam entangles his fingers in Bucky’s soft locks as Bucky pushes Sam into bed. They start to pull off their clothes and leaving them in just their underwear, Sam puts a hand on Bucky’s chest, stopping him.
“Baby, slow down.” Sam breathes out.
“Is everything okay?” Bucky asked him.
“It’s fine, but I don’t think I’m ready for sex.” Sam breathes out.
“Yeah, sure thing, let’s not rush it then. I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable.” Bucky reassured him, and kissed his shoulders.
“But can we cuddle?” Sam pouts at him.
“Sure thing.” Bucky grins at him, as he pulls Sam on top of his chest, and kissing the back of his head.
They had fallen asleep in bed when there was a knock on their bedroom door. Bucky got up and check who it was and it was Jarvis. Jarvis had made for them dinner and he was about to leave. Jarvis updated the timing Tony and the gang would arrive tomorrow before he left.
“Baby! Dinner.” Bucky wakes Sam up.
“Can we skip dinner?” Sam groans.
“Well, it’s steak, you can’t say no to beef.” Bucky replies.
“That’s true, but I’m sleepy.” Sam yawns.
“I guess dinner in bed then.” Bucky chuckles as he walked into the room with their food.
“Ah perfect.” Sam grins as he sat up in bed.
“Wine, my love?” Bucky offers as he pops open the bottle.
“Merci, Mi Amor.” Sam said as he took a glass.
“Happiest birthday, my love.” Bucky said as they clink their glasses together.
“Thank you, baby.” Sam grins at him.
