Note

Letters

It started with a letter.

Peter was walking home after meeting with Otto so they can discuss any recent crime activity, which surprisingly there wasn't much. It made Peter anxious thinking how quiet crime was. As he walked up to his door, he noticed a white envelop on the welcome mat with his name on it in cursive. Peter stared at it in confusion before picking it up. As he held it in his hands he looked around, wondering who would leave it for him. As he greeted his Aunt May he made sure to hide the letter from her so she wouldn't ask questions. As he sat in his room, he moved the letter around and held it up to the light to make sure there was nothing suspicious. He took a deep breath before opening the letter. Unlike his name the paragraphs were written in block letters. Peter laid back on his bed as he read it:

'Dear Peter,
You may not know who I am but I know who you are. I see you often but often times you don't see me and I am a little disappointed. I was hoping you would approach me but you never did, so I am making the first move. Who am I? Someone who has wanted to be with you the moment they met you. You will get to know me soon but for now this letter will have to do. Why am I writing to you? Because there is something about you that has me drawn to you and I'm not going to let it go. I hope you feel it too.
Yours truly...,'

That was all the letter said. Peter re-read the letter over and over to make sure he understood correctly. Was someone following him and had he met this person before? He must have. But the question on his mind was: Who? Who would feel such strong emotions for him that they would send him a strange letter. He stood up straighter the more he thought it over before ultimately deciding to hide the letter in his desk so Aunt May wouldn't find it. As he laid in bed he kept thinking about the letter and how there was someone out there watching him and following him. The more he thought about it the more he had difficulty trying to sleep. He tossed and turned and even checked to make sure his window was locked more than once. He groaned and ran his hands through his hair upset at how much a single letter was starting to get to him. He turned on his side and held Señor Trunks close to his chest, hoping he would be some form of comfort.

The next morning, Peter got up early so he could have breakfast with Harry. When he finished getting ready, he contemplated taking the letter with him. he wondered if he should show it to Harry. He then grabbed the letter and put it in his bag, his decision final. He waved goodbye to Aunt May and made his way to the cafe that they usually meet. On the way to the cafe, Peter looked around at the all people walking by. Any of them could've written that letter. They could be watching him or following him. Plotting or thinking terrible things. Peter eyed them closely and held his backpack close to his chest out of nervousness. He sighed as he finally made it to the cafe and sat by Harry at their usual spot. Harry already them. Their usual smoothies and waffled with whipped cream and fruit on top. Harry was talking about Oscorp and anything else but Peter was zoning out the letter still on his mind. Harry noticed this and started waving his hand in front of Peter to get his attention.

"Pete? Hey Pete? Everything okay?" He asked. Peter stood straight up and blinked his eyes rapidly.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah, I'm alright." He lied as he took a bite of his waffles. Harry leaned back, crossed his arms and glared at Peter.

"You know you're a terrible liar. Something is clearly bothering you, you can tell me." He said and grabbed his hand. He gave Peter a reassuring smile but it didn't calm his nerves. Peter sighed, contemplating if he should show Harry the letter. He looked at Harry one more time and remembered all that they have been through. Peter sighed and grabbed the letter out of his bag. He held it in his hands, feeling his nerves starting to return. He then handed the letter to Harry.

"Okay, so this is gonna sound weird: but yesterday I found this letter on my doorstep. I don't know who sent it and It's been kind of getting to me." Peter explained. He watched as Harry's eyes went back and forth as he read the letter. His hands started to shake with anger as he held on to the letter tighter. Peter could only imagine what he was thinking of.

"So, you randomly got this letter yesterday?" Peter nodded his head in confirmation. "Do you think they know you're..." Peter shook his head. He knew Harry was asking if they knew he was Spider-Man.

"I don't know. I mean, It's possible if they have been watching me. But what I'm wandering if It's a crazed fan or someone close to me, like maybe a classmate or something." Harry re-read the letter as he thought some more.

"Good question. Their wording suggests they have been watching you, maybe either as Spider-Man or as Peter Parker. They don't really specify." Harry explains as he hands the letter back to Peter, who puts it back in his bag. Peter finished the last of his waffle.

"I don't know. I just can't get over how much it bothers me." Peter said as he took a sip of his smoothie. Harry leaned forward and held his hands, smiling softly.

"Hey whatever happens, we can figure it out. I promise." Peter smiled at him. As soon as the check arrived Harry paid for it, despite Peter's objections. They then got up and Peter wrapped his hand around Harry's. They went out outside and Harry kissed Peter.

"Hey, since it's Summer, I don't have work today and I know you have nothing, want to go check out this new exhibit that opened? It's a... tour of The Star Trek set." As soon as he said it, Peter gasped and hugged Harry tightly.

"YES!" He shouted. Harry chuckled and started to lead the way.

"Come on, nerd." He said jokingly. Unknown to them a dark figure watched them in an alley across the street.

"Soon, Parker. You will be ours..."
