Part 3
It wasn’t as hard as she thought to open up to him. He didn’t mock her, or even blame her for what happened. He just sat and listened, nodding his head in understanding so often. He was the first person she had told about what had happened, and even though it still stung, it felt nice to finally vocalize what happened.
Plus it got Zemo to open up more.
He lost his father, wife, and son when Sokovia was destroyed, finding their bodies days later. He was apart of Sokovian royalty and in the intelligence, that Y/N started to realize that no wonder this guy was so bitter. He was hurt. She couldn’t excuse many of his actions, but it was clear to see his motives. He had a life of luxury and a family, ripped away from him.
But Y/N had to think on her own for a moment. Sam wanted her to figure out what he wanted. She had to look past his trauma to see what his plans were.

“Sam, he said we have to go to Madripoor. Something about a Doctor, and a power-whatever-he said something about a serum and i’m not sure but it has something to do with those Flag Smashers”
“What even is all that, Y/N? Is he messing with us or something? And he said we? Like you?”
“Yeah I guess, I filled Barnes in and he’s trying to get more out of him-I think I was able to crack the surface but Sam, I feel like more is going on.”
“Its alright Y/N, Barnes and I will discuss it more after he’s done talking/ Thanks for all the help.”

Sam and Barnes needed some privacy in the kitchen to discuss what they found out. Apparently there was an island where a bunch of criminals hung out that was controlled by someone called the “Powerbroker”. Y/N tried to listen through the door, but was stuck making sure Zemo wasn’t going to escape.
“Could you at least put on some music. Its awfully quiet in here.” the man said, sitting on a corner of the bed.
“Shut up” Y/N whispered, ear pressed against the door
“I’ve told you everything they’re talking about. There’s not much else to know.”
“I’m trying to listen in if they come up with a plan.”
“They don’t have their own plan. They’re using mine.”
“Yeah, when hell freezes over.”
He was getting annoying.
“Môj drahý, do you want to hear it or not?” he sighed
“Fine” she gave up.
