Certain Death
Loki is going to kill him.
His eyes linger on the long fingers that had adjusted the tie around his neck.
He throws his head back slightly and scoffs to keep his face clean of the dusting of blush that would have covered his cheeks.
Loki’s eyes do not linger as his do.
They continue walking once again, leaving the interaction behind.
Mobius thinks that the pair they make is confusing, almost too intricate, but fitting.
He had always been left without what he wanted.
Loki is no different.
Sylvie makes sure of that.
Interrogating Loki was not as hard as it should have been.
He had already accepted that Loki would never love him back, and when he found that Loki loved Sylvie, he was not scared that he was losing them because he never had them in the first place.
He thought he would be jealous, and he was right, but he was jealous in a way that he didn’t feel anything but happy that Loki found a way to love.
If he told Loki he was proud it would mean certain death because Loki does not trust anyone who says they love them.
The trickster has been tricked before.
Mobius doesn’t want Loki hurt again, but he knows that they will hurt no matter what he says.
No matter what he does.
He helps Loki get away, get to the man who’s behind it all, but he leaves them in the process.
When Loki doesn’t come back after he timeline becomes unbalanced, he knows he made a mistake in leaving him alone.
