Chapter 2
RING RING! Agatha had a panic attack as her phone went off at 7:30 in the morning. After last night, Agatha didn't want to answer any more phone calls. But as she picked up her phone, she remembered she had given Miss Maximoff a warning siren ringtone, with the contact name 'Totally Cute Girl You Screwed Over, You Little Bitch'. It was Thanos Stone, owner of the company which Agatha was the CEO of. Agatha answered it. "Did you get the property?" he asked. Agatha replied, "I thought you said I had a week. But yes, I did." "Good," Stone said before hanging up.
Wanda spent the next morning showering her children with love, and while they were confused, they easily accepted it. And then around noon Vision came by, and Wanda had to try not to glare at vision as he walked off. And then Wanda cried some more as she showered and got dressed, and then she told herself to stop crying. It was time to get her payback.
"You're a bitch," Agatha told her reflection. "You hurt Wanda--" she winced at the name. "--Miss Maximoff." Her knuckles were turning white from gripping the sink counter too tightly. "Your entire job is to hurt people. Yet you don't do a thing! Stone wants half of the city's population out of here and replaced by the wealthy. You know that's not right, but you just sit and do whatever he tells you!" There was a knock at her door. Agatha left the bathroom and went to the foyer, wiping her tears and putting on a seductive smirk for her visitor. She opened the door. "Oh, come in, toots!"
Wanda stormed down to the bus station, feeling anger pump through her veins. She was currently living off of coffee as she wasn’t getting any sleep, so her hands twitched. Wanda didn’t mind. It added to the effect and hopefully better helped get her point across when the time came. The bus took a while, but finally it arrived. Wanda was relieved to find there were only a few elderly people sitting at the front. She wasn’t in the mood for social interaction right now.
"Now, honey, I really haven't had much time to clean up around here," Agatha said, swirling around her wine glass. "So--" She was interrupted by his mouth on hers. Their kissing became deep and hot, and he pressed her back against the island counter. Agatha put the wineglass behind her as he started to unzip her dress--
When Wanda arrived at the address given to her by an assistant, Wanda was quick to board an elevator up to the right floor of the fancy apartment complex. The moment the doors pulled apart Wanda was strutting down the hallway and up to the last door. And then she knocked loudly and abruptly unaware of what was happening on the other side of the door. “Hello! I know you're in there.” The door pushed open and she walked in.
Agatha pushed him away and looked in shock at the red head who had just entered her apartment. Her dress had fallen to the floor, leaving her in booty shorts and a dark purple lace bra. He, too, froze, and looked at the red head confusedly. "Miss Maximoff?!" Agatha asked at the same time he said "WANDA?!"
Wanda felt her heart sink. Every bit of resolve in her seemed to fade, and she wanted to fall to the ground right then there. Wanda had always known Vision had cheated on her, but she never knew who with. Oh, now she did. And suddenly all the hatred Wanda had ever felt for Vision came back full force and Wanda wanted to scream and kick and cry. But she did none of that. She instead slowly walked forward and kept calm. “I-uh, I’m here to talk to Miss Harkness.”
"Nuh-huh!" Agatha refused. "Not until SOMEONE tells me what's going on!" She turned to Vision. "SHE'S your wife?!"
He nodded, and shrugged. "Well, she WAS."
Agatha slammed him across the face. "You're a bastard. You said your wife was a rich, spoiled, annoying, bratty whore!"
Vision looked at Wanda. "Well, Aggie baby, she kind of is an annoying and bratty whore..."
Wanda felt the hurt and what Vision had called her. But then that same anger was being used, and Wanda had punched Vision right in the eye.
“Am I annoying now, husband of mine?” Wanda mocked.
Wanda felt tears start to prick the corners of her eyes, however. She could only pretend to only be mad for so long.
Agatha looked between them. What kind of shit had she gotten herself into? Wanda was DEFINITELY mad, but Agatha saw a hint of tears welling in her green eyes. Vision scowled at the both of them.
"Aggie, baby, you're on my side, right?" he cooed to Agatha.
Wanda glared at Vision with such a fierce intensity that she couldn’t hold back the tears that fell down. And then she found herself wondering. Whose side would Agatha be on? Wait- why did Wanda even care?!
Agatha blinked and looked at him incredulously. "What do you mean, am I on your side?! You lied to your wife about me, and you lied to me about your wife!" She stepped forwards to slam him again, as that seemed like the popular response to this, but Vision grabbed her wrist and flung her against the counter. "Gah!" she cried.
Wanda felt her body shake with how overwhelmed she was. But seeing Harkness hit the counter, her face contorted with pain, rose fresh anger, red, hot, and boiled over. So Wanda threw herself at Vision, kicking and scratching him until she felt his blood pool under her fingernails. “Leave her alone, you sick bastard!”
Vision pushed Wanda off of him. "What the hell is wrong with you?! Why are you even mad I hurt that bitch?!" He punched Wanda in the gut and gripped her wrist. "You're a whore, Wanda. And don't think I don't know about your eviction. I'm taking the kids." He pushed her aside and left.
Wanda doubled over with pain, but she still managed to hobble over to Harkness. “Harkness? Get up!” Wanda said, afraid that she’d have to call an ambulance. Wanda grabbed her wrist and felt it sting as Vision had dug his fingernails into her when he had grabbed her, and his blood smeared on her arm. It was nauseating.
Agatha, shaken, bruised and a bit confused--er, delusional-- but otherwise fine, looked up at Wanda. "Hey, toots." She smiled drunkenly. "Damn, you're hot."
Wanda felt her heart stop in her chest before it sped up, and red painted her face. But right now Harkness was hurt and definitely not completely sober, so Wanda tried to lead her over to the couch nearby. “Come on. You’re injured, you need to lay down.”
"With you, in bed?" Agatha slurred. The amount of alcohol she had drunk last night had finally caught up with her, after being knocked around like that. "A dream come tree-- thwue. True! Hahhhh-wheeeeeeeee!" She blew into Wanda's ear and nuzzled into the red head's neck. "Hey... Wandy, this ain't bed! This couch!" she pouted, sticking her bottom lip out.
Wanda felt Agatha’s lip on her neck, and she couldn’t help the shudder that ran down her spine. But, alas, Agatha was definitely drunk off her mind right now. She needed water and rest, so Wanda had Agatha sit down on the couch carefully, before she scurried off to find a glass.
“Wwwaaaaiiiiit..." Agatha called. "Wandy..! Cum'ere! Needa fug'ya.." Then she passed out.
Wanda stumbled around the kitchen, the pain in her head from when Vision had shaken her making her disoriented. Wanda could have sworn she saw a glass in a high up cabinet, but her vision was getting foggy. Too much had happened in little time, and Wanda’s body needed a break. So the ginger slid down the cabinets and onto the floor, her eyes shutting slowly.
Coming to on the couch with a pain in the back that was a.. well, pain in the back, half-naked in a sexy lacey bra, and feeling super, super, super, duper hungover was not new to Agatha. But coming to on the couch with a pain in the back, half-naked in a sexy lacey bra, and feeling super, super, super, duper hungover, after getting broken up with and thrown around by her lover, while Wanda Maximoff sat snoring in her kitchen certainly was. Groaning loudly, Agatha tried to ignore the pain running down her spine and across her ribs and got up slowly, shuffling her way to the kitchen and past Wanda. She winced as she stretched to get ibuprofen from a top cabinet, then swallowed, like, ten pills, which was probably past the dose limit, but at that point she didn't really care.
Wanda’s head pounded painfully as she heard someone scuffle above her, and every noise was like a hit to the back of her head. It took a few moments for Wanda to remember her existence, and then a few more to remember where she was and what had happened. Wanda felt a lump form in her throat as she thought about it, her eyes slowly pulling open. Wanda shut them again for a moment as she adjusted to the light, before she opened them again, and kept them open. But she didn’t make any move to get off the floor.
Noticing Wanda stirring, Agatha leaned down, holding out the bottle of ibu. "Want some, toots?" She smiled playfully. This was weird for her. Usually this side of her didn't come out unless she was alone. Whatever, she was probably still kind of drunk. She still had that terrible feeling in her head, she wanted to barf her guts out, and she felt extremely bloated. So yes, she was drunk. Or pregnant. Oh, God, no, let's hope not. "C'mon. Take one. Or one dozen. Ya look like ya need it."
Wanda groaned in pain as she finally forced herself to sit up, eyes seeing shapes for a moment as her head spun. When the world finally came back into view Wanda snatched the bottle of ibuprofen from Agatha’s hand, reaching for the glass that sat next to the other woman on the counter. Wanda shook a good amount of pills into her hand, she didn’t count, and graciously swallowed all of them without even needing the water. Wanda couldn’t take painkillers on a regular basis, she saved what little she could afford for when one of her kids accidentally hurt themselves.
"Toots, you okay?" Agatha grinned weakly. She turned and sat cross-legged next to Wanda. She put a hand on Wanda's forearm.
Ah, that one question always had a knack for tearing people apart even if nothing serious had happened. But Wanda had just lost her kids and they’d probably see the scratches and bruises and think she was a horrible person now, and Vision would definitely tell them as much and fuck Wanda was crying now.
"Oh, oh, oh, no, toots," Agatha cooed. She wrapped her arm around Wanda's shaking body and pulled the red head close. Wanda looked so broken now, and it was mostly Agatha's fault. "Shhh.. Good girl. That's a good girl." She gently rubbed behind Wanda's ear. "Er-- Sorry. I'm a doggie mommie." She cuddled up to Wanda, wrapping the younger girl in her embrace.
Wanda felt tears slide down her face as she shook, and she was vaguely aware of Agatha wrapping her arms around her and holding her tightly. Wanda tried to push away but her limbs were too weak and she gave that up easily. All Wanda could think about was her beautiful Tommy and Billy, and how they’d spend their life thinking their mother was a monster. But the warmth and comfort that Agatha brought with her tight embrace seemed to calm Wanda down somewhat, and the red heads breathing finally began to even out.
"Shh.. Wanda.. Talk to me," Agatha pleaded. She felt insanely guilty about everything, and wanted to make it right. She wanted to help Wanda.
Wanda felt the lump in her throat lessen slightly as the words spew from her mouth, her whole body tense. “I just- he took the kids. He took them away from me and I’ll never see them smile or laugh or draw ever again, and I have nowhere to live because- god I’ve been evicted and I have to pack..I just don’t know what to do right now!”
Agatha's heart dropped. Fuck. This was ALL her fault. "Wanda. Wanda, honey, he won't take the kids. Okay? He WON'T. And.. and.. I kind of fucked you over, didn't I?" Agatha threw her head back in a laugh, though none of this was at all funny. "Okay. WanWan. Look at me."
Wanda gulped and looked up at Agatha after a moment, tears making her eyes look glossy and distant. Her lip trembled and her hair hung in her face limply. Wanda mustered up the little strength she had to look Agatha in her eyes.
"This is all my fault. And I'm going to fix it. First, you're going to stay here. Next, I'm going to get you a job that pays more than minimum-wage. Okay? You got that? Then, we're gonna get your kids. Then beat the fuck out of Vision. Sound good?!" Agatha was getting really enthusiastic about this, especially that last part. She gripped Wanda's hand tight and squeezed, trying to comfort the smaller girl.
Wanda stared at Agatha for a moment, letting it all set in. And then she felt two very different emotions. One, was gratefulness. She was grateful that Agatha was willing to let her stay there and get her a job. And then Wanda was upset because this was all Agatha’s fault and Wanda was way too stubborn to immediately accept. So Wanda got up off the ground and tried to look for her jacket which she had shed sometime the night before.
"Wanda..." Agatha got up and went over to a bar stool, picking up a coat. "Looking for this?"
Wanda turned around to see what Agatha was talking about, and it was now that she realized Agatha was practically bare in front of her. Wanda went bright red and quickly looked away in embarrassment.
Agatha looked down at herself. "What, does it bother you that I'm nearly naked? It didn't seem to bother you all that much last night." She smirked seductively. "Now, I do believe I could use this coat to perhaps cover up, but then you wouldn't be able to leave, would you?" Agatha teased as she wrapped Wanda's jacket around herself. "Mmm, toasty." She raised an eyebrow at Wanda.
Wanda went even more red if that was possible, and she forced herself to walk forward to reach for her coat. Wanda tried to avert her eyes in a desperate attempt to keep some sort of distance, but she couldn’t help but stare at Agatha's basically exposed chest. “Uh..I need to get home. Probably..send the twins some of their belongings or something.”
"Huh." Agatha shrugged, amused by Wanda's shyness. "Well, let me get dressed and we'll go, toots."
Wanda stared at Agatha now. “We? You don’t have to come with me.”
"I wasn't asking permission." Agatha winked. "Now, give me a minute." She walked back into her bedroom, taking Wanda's coat with her, in case the red head tried to run off.
Wanda watched Agatha leave with her coat, and was instantly frustrated. She would just leave her coat behind but it was her only one and it had been expensive for what Wanda should have spent on a winter coat, so Wanda reluctantly plopped down onto the couch to wait.
Agatha returned in a cute dark purple pantsuit. "Okay, toots. Ready to go?" She wiggled her eyebrows. "Oh, and just so you know, I do know where you live. It's not as if you could have gotten far. I know the city like the back of my hand." Agatha rethought that. "Actually, I don't really spend much time staring at the back of my hand. But you know what I mean," she said, shrugging.
Wanda felt a strange thrill at the sense of control Agatha had over her at the moment, but she tried to ignore it. Just like she tried to ignore how good Agatha looked in a suit. “Uh, yeah. Let’s go.”
"Lead the way, toots."
Wanda nodded silently as she walked over to the door, trying to ignore the crusted blood under her fingernails as she opened the door.
Agatha sauntered after Wanda, admiring the red head’s ass from behind. "Looks nice, buttercup."
Wanda once again found herself extremely flustered, and she stumbled a little as she pushed the door open, falling into the hallway. She once again tried to ignore the heat that seemed to pool in her stomach when Agatha made comments like this.
Agatha laughed. Wanda looked so damn cute when she was flustered. Agatha liked seeing the red on her cheeks and the pout in her lip. "Okay, go on," Agatha said, coming up next to Wanda and smacking her ass lightly to get Wanda to move.
Wanda couldn’t stop the squeak that slipped through her lips, and she quickly continued her journey over to the elevator, pushing the button. She watched as the number changed until finally, the doors opened.
"In," Agatha commanded. Pulling Wanda into the elevator with her, Agatha pushed the button for the bottom floor, the crowded Wanda in the corner of the elevator just to make the girl uncomfortable. This was not normal Agatha behavior. This was the type of thing she would do alone, where no one could break down and prim-and-proper front. Agatha hummed the Jeopardy theme as the elevator descended.
Wanda cowered in the corner in the elevator, her brain trying to make sense of it all. But alas, all she could do was pray that she could keep at least some of her facade up near Agatha because quite frankly, it was starting to deteriorate.
Ding! The elevator was now at ground level, and Agatha strutted out, looking cool, confident, and composed. Get Agnes back down there, Agatha. She doesn't belong here. Not now.
Wanda followed meekly behind Agatha, feeling eyes on her from everywhere. Wanda tried to keep pace with Agatha but her head still hurt a little and to be honest, she wasn’t as confident as the other woman.
"Well, come on! It's your apartment!" Agatha urged Wanda to lead the way, grabbing the red head's hand and pulling her along. Wanda's hand was soft and warm, and it felt good.
Wanda blushed at the sudden contact, and she nodded. Wanda took the lead and walked out onto the sidewalk, the morning sun blinding her for a moment before she adjusted. Wanda didn’t know if she trusted Agatha walking behind her, so she kept glancing back to make sure she was keeping her distance.
Narrowing her eyes, Agatha sped up so she was pressed against Wanda's back, holding onto Wanda's elbows and putting her head over Wanda's shoulder. "So, toots. What's poppin'?"
Wanda’s breath caught up in her throat, and she had to physically force her legs to keep moving. She could no longer look over her shoulder to check on Agatha, because if she did she’d be right in the other woman’s face. Wanda gulped and tried to act casual. “Uh, nothing much.”
Agatha let out a poof of air, blowing Wanda's hair away from her face. "Suurreee. One moment, it's like you're gonna die, and the next, it's 'nothing much'." She peered around the side of Wanda's head to look at her. "You don't like me, do you?"
Wanda actually did stop moving this time, spinning in her heel to glare at Agatha. “Well, you kind of ruined my life. So no, I don’t like you.”
Agatha blinked. She didn't know what she had expected. She backed away from Wanda. "Oh."
