Corra's Backstory
When she was a child her Parents always threw Parties and galas because they were part of High Society, She always got bored rather quickly so she always tried to find new ways to have fun during the events.
It almost always ended in me being surrounded in a circle by her parents and some strangers she wasnt yet introduced to being yelled at, whooped, and verbally and emotionally abused. This usually happened once a night and she was tired of it.
So one night in hopes of running away, she snuck off during a gala night when she was 7. she was young, but with her iq she was very aware and basically raised herself. She stole and packed the extra cash from the safe in her parents room when they werent watching, and went off.
She stumbled upon a grove by the beach and found a stone, after direct contact she passed out in the cave while underwater, when i woke up i had a tale and could feel and almost hear nature speaking to her.
She spent one year practicing and mastering her powers while living in peace with the wildlife. One day when she went out to buy a book to read in her freetime she was found and caught by police and taken back to her parents. They suddenly stopped holding galas and watched her more closely, the abuse didnt stop and the strangers that surrounded her in a circle were soon replaced by aunts and uncles when she did things wrong.
They never installed cameras so everyday for 6 hours she would go to the grove and discover more things about her powers while helping the animals and their egosystems while her parents went to work. She started getting allowance and saved it like her life depended on it. At 13 years old She was gifted her first mermaid book by a dolphin that was visiting my grove, she learned her power limits and pushed them. She became a full master of her powers a week before her 14th birthday.
She checked and counted her saved allowance money to about $15,000 and stuffed it in her escape bag. She had been planning her escape for years so she had clothes in styles that conflicts with how her parents would describe her, an old samsung phone, and some survival gear, it was planned so when she mastered her powers she could leave.
She stuffed it under her bed and acted like nothing was wrong. The day of her 14th birthday her parents got a trust bank account for her to save money, since her legal papers were mixed into the documents she took them all and left through the window when her parents fell asleep. Her first stop was to correct all documents to strictly be controlled by her before her parents could wake up and report her as missing on government record. She went to multiple offices, imitated her parents, changed her name, and got the rest of her needed supply's at the store before sunrise.
Settling in the cave, she slept peacefully for the first time in a while, knowing she was safe.
