Putting My Foot Down at Moldy Tacos
Peter's Pov.
[Wake up]
I could feel a tingle go down my spine and groaned knowing what was to come.
It couldn't have even been a second later that Jason started crying.
I can feel Wade shift under me but that was about it. I climbed out of bed and grabbed a shirt on my way out of the room. I went towards the nursery and put my shirt on. "Oh baby what's wrong?" I asked Jason softly and picked him up, holding him to my chest as he cried. "Oh well I can definitely smell what's wrong." I chuckled and brought him over towards the changing table. "That's no problem. We can clean that up real fast." I unsnap his onesie and quickly change the boy and tossed the old diaper in the bin next to the station. "There we go, isn't that better?" I picked him up again and kissed his head as he calmed down.
[He's hungry too.]
"I know I know." I moved out of the nursery and down the stairs, the apartment wasn't incredibly big, with 2 beds, 1 bath upstairs, the downstairs had a living room, kitchen, and a couple of closets. "Why don't we get you something to eat? I think it's about snack time."
Jason giggled and squeaked softly as a response.
I smile softly, it was hard not to when your child is as cute as mine is. "What should we have? Do you want to eat a banana? Or do you want some yogurt?" I asked as I entered the kitchen and placed Jason down in his high chair.
Jason just babbled some baby nonsense. He had said a couple words already but nothing fluent, though he's only ten and a half months so he was doing good for his age.
"I always want to eat your banana." I heard Wade say before I felt his arms wrap around my waist, chuckling at his own humor.
"Hmm yogurt it is then." I blushed and moved away from the two and towards the fridge, grabbing the yogurt from the bottom shelf. There was pretty much only baby food in there and left over tacos that Wade keeps saying he's trying to save for a rainy day, but if they stay in there any longer I might just throw them out.
"Awe that's boring. Yogurt is basically thick sour milk. Isn't that right Jasey?" He asked the little one and crouched down to be more level with him. "Can you say, 'ew yogurt is gross?' Come on you can do it. Yogurt is gross. Yogurt is gross." Wade begins to chant, Jason starting to laugh at his Daddy's silliness.
"See, you don't even have to dress like a clown and he's laughing at you." I smirked, referencing our conversation that happened before our nap. I grab a baby spoon from the one drawer and move back towards the high-chair. "Isn't that right. You're Daddy is just so silly. He doesn't know that yogurt is yummy. Yogurt is yummy!"
Jason laughs gets screachy for a second, and though it's cute you could feel that ring in your ears, and hit the tray table as he watched us being silly for him.
"Now come on. Open wide for your nom noms." I smiled and brought the spoon with some yogurt towards his mouth. "Open, open." I lightly nudge the spoon at his lips.
[He's gonna spit it]
Jason opened his mouth and took the yogurt in his mouth, and it looked like he was going to eat it for a second but he blew a big raspberry, sending the spitty yogurt across the high-chair tray and both Wade, thanks to my Spidey senses I was able to doge the spray of it. Of course this was followed immediately by Jason's squealing and laughter.
Wade groaned and wiped his face. "I changed my mind, yogurt is good and you should definitely not do that again" He moved towards the sink and stuck his head under the faucet before turning it on.
I had a smug look on my face. "See what happens when you encourage him to not like yogurt. It completely backfires on you by working." I tell him as Jason continued his laughing at as. "Yeah that was super funny, wanna try it again Jasey?" I chuckled and got more on the spoon before bringing it towards him. "Let's keep it in our mouth this time yeah?"
Wade turned the faucet off and grabbed the hand towel and dried his head off with it.
Jason giggled and took the yogurt from the spoon again and just held onto it in there.
"Please don't spit it out again. You can do it! Just swallow it. It'll be good I promise." I begged him before turning to Wade and pointing a finger at him. "Not one word out of you." I didn't even need my Spidey sense to warn me to know what he would have followed up with.
"Hey! What are you talking about!" Wade said defensively and held his hands up. "I wasn't gonna say nothin!"
I gave him a look, silently saying that I knew better than to believe that before turning back to Jason who was babbling between giggles, he had swallowed the yogurt while I was talking with Wade. "Oh such a good boy. You ate it this time! Come on lets get you some more." I moved the spoon and continued feeding him.
"Listen it's you who has the dirty mind for thinking I would say such a thing." Wade tells him and grabs a wipe to clean the mess of yogurt on Jason's face.
"Me with the dirty mind? You're the one that was going to say it." I counter and gave Jason more food after Wade cleaned up his face.
"What was I even going to say? Not that I was even going to say it." He puts his hand on his hips in a sassy manner. "Cause I definitely wasn't even going to say it."
"You were gonna say..." I pause. "Oh no no, you can't trick me into saying it. Nice try Wilson. I'm onto you."
"What are you even talking about because I wasn't going to say anything!!" Wade exclaimed with a laugh.
Jason was just giggling along as he watched us 'argue' over nothing.
It was nice just being like this. Talking and having fun with Wade and Jason. It definitely had a different environmental feel to it that it does when I'm just Peter back at the tower, well when I did live there before moving out about 16 months ago. Just told Dad and Pop that I was going to study abroad for a while and they haven't questioned it. I feel bad for lying to them, it's not as if I'm not taking classes in a school that's abroad I mean, they're just online classes from a school in Europe... Well there my thoughts go, running off on a tangent. My point is that I like it here with my two boys. I can be myself without someone rushing over to help me as if I was a child reaching towards a hot stove.
I guess Wade could see it in my face that something was up cause he gave me a worried look while I finished up feeding Jason. "You okay Pea?" He asked lightly, jokey tone gone but his voice still had that fun up beat sound it always did for some reason, just like Ryan Reynolds's voice actually, the similarities between the two are uncanny.
"Yeah I'm fine." I reassured him and smiled lightly up at him. "I love you both so much. You know that right?"
"Yeah of course I do." Wade hummed and I let my eyes close as he kissed my forehead. "We love you too."
I smile and slump forward so I was leaning against him, asking for hugs without actually physically asking for one.
Wade wrapped his arms around me and gave me a good squeeze. "Why don't you get Jason cleaned up and I'll whip out those tacos in the fridge for us. You look tired, and hungry, and I don't want to see you become a hangry spider cause I'm not getting caught in any web this time." He chuckled.
I laugh, "My web shooters malfunction one time and it's like you're really going to hold it against me forever aren't you."
"Of course I am! I was finding web in my nose for weeks!" Wade exclaimed with a smile on his face as he lied.
"Yeah sure you did." Peter chuckled and moved and picked up Jason up and out of the high chair. "Make sure those tacos are still good before you heat them up. Otherwise it's going to smell like rotting tacos in here for like a week instead of just regular taco."
"Any kind of taco stinking the house up is a good kind of taco and no taco must go to waste." Wade opens the fridge and takes the bag out.
Jason giggled and smushed his yogurt covered face onto the the white t-shirt covering my shoulder.
[Don't let him eat them. He may have an unstoppable healing factor but that doesn't mean he can just eat rotten tacos.]
"Hey why don't you let me handle the tacos and you get Jason cleaned up." I suggested.
"Pea, you should know me better than this by now. Of course I'm going to make new tacos." Wade reassured. "Right after i shove these tacos down my throat."
"Wade no. I will ban tacos for a month if you eat rotten tacos." I warned him.
"I can eat whatever tacos I want. I'm a grown ass man." He just loved his tacos so much that he was acting like a man-child.
"Who wants to eat rotten tacos!" I shake my head.
"They still smell good!!" He groaned in disbelief that I would question the status of his taco.
Jason was laughing like crazy as we bickered over the future of the tacos at hand.
I sigh. "Throw out the tacos Wade."
Wade pulled a taco out of the bag.
"Wade throw out that taco." I tell him being serious.
He slowly brought it closer to his face.
"I swear I will kick that thing out of your hand if you try to eat it."
Wade doesn't stop bring it towards his face in his slow motion act to make it more dramatic.
I set Jason, who was still laughing up a storm at our antics, down in his high chair again. "Don't test me. I will kick the taco."
Just as it was nearing Wade's open mouth I do a jumping front kick, efficiently kicking just the taco and sending it's contents across the kitchen.
Jason screamed happily as taco bits flew everywhere and clapped his little pudgy baby hands.
"MY TACO!" Wade screached. "Oh no... No no no... You will pay for this you- you- you monster!!" He pledged before running at me. "Ahhhh!!!!" He charged.
"Oh shit!" I laugh before jumping onto and across the kitchen island. "You're going to have to be a lot quicker than that if you want to catch me~" I teased and kept myself ready to jump out of the way of his playful chasing.
"Oh I'll catch you alright. Make you pay what you did to my innocent taco too. You're a taco murderer you villainous scoundrel!" Wade said before smirking and turning to the sink and grabbing the hose. "Time to pay." He aims it at me and grabs the handle of the sink.
"Wade... Wade don't you dare." I was smiling though cause even though this was going to be a huge mess to clean up, it was fun and that was more of a later problem anyway. "I swear if you spra-Wade!" I laughed and held my hands up to try and block the water as I attempted to avoid the attack by running to the other side of the kitchen.
Wade laughed at my attempts of escape as it was futile. There was nothing he was better at than spraying his target with the hose and he certainly knew that.
"Okay okay!" I laughed. "I yield!" I tried as moved closer to him to try and grab it out of his hand. "Give it to me!" I tried to sound serious but it was difficult when I was having this much fun.
Wade held it up out of the reach of my arm. "Only if you can guess the magic password." He smirked as he kept the water pouring down on me."
[It's a kiss]
"Knowing you it could be anything!" Sometimes it was no fun having the spidey sense giving me the answer so I just play it out as if it wasn't my cheater sheet. "Please? Taco? King Jaffe Joffer??"
"Nope! But I could give you a hint!" He puckered up his lips and made a little kissy noise with them.
Jason was giggling still in the background, somehow still being dry but starting to get tired from all that laughing he had done.
"Hmm fine. If that's the password I guess I'll have to concede and give you one." I tell Wade, trying to be all dramatic.
"I guess you'll just have to." He hummed triumphantly, a little victory smirk on his lips.
I lean up towards him and place a small kiss on his lips before giving him a big wet hug to get him all wet as well.
"You traitor! You conceded but got me all wet!" Wade laughed "I need another kiss to get over this betrayal."
"You get as many kisses as you want." I leaned up again and pecked his lips. "It's difficult to not just continue kissing you. You are just such a great kisser." I give him another kiss "And I would continue giving them to you right nowwwwwwwww, but we need to get Jason cleaned up and back to bed and all this water cleaned up before we slip and die."
Wade groaned and put the hose down after shutting it off. "You won't slip and die. I've seen you backflip in the rain."
"Yeah but I've seen you slip on a surface with lots of friction." I point out.
"It's not like I stay dead for long!" He whined, "Hangry Spider-boy is coming out isn't he."
"Safety Wade." I moved over and carefully picked Jason who was practically asleep in his chair, not holding him to close though as I didn't want to get him all wet. "Go get some towels. I'll wash off Jase and put him back to bed."
Wade nods. "Aye-Aye captain." He saluted and started making his way to get towels for the kitchen floors.
I cringe "No, lets not start with that." I bring Jason back upstairs and start getting him ready for bed.
