After going back to the time when Pompeii happened, Loki and Mobius began traveling to different apocalypses in search of another Loki variant, but their efforts ended in frustration. Suddenly, feeling mischievous, Loki stole an item from Mobius to return to the time after he vanished from the Avengers' hands.
The doorway opened, and he went through, leaving Mobius behind. Just before the gate closed, Mobius heard, "The Loki variant has escaped!"
Loki looked behind him to see the whole Avengers team staring at him, with Peter's sandwich falling to the ground.
"Brother?" Thor said. Loki just looked at him with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, brother, but I have to go. They'll find me."
"What do you mean, brother? Who'll find you?" Thor asked, moving closer, but Loki evaded him.
"Holy moly, is that your brother, Mr. Thor?" Peter asked. "The one who caused, you know..." Thor just nodded.
"It's been four years, brother. Come back to us," Thor pleaded.
"I can't," Loki replied. He opened a device in his hands to create a gateway to another dimension. "They'll find me." Loki then ran into the gateway, with Thor following close behind. Just before Thor could enter the gateway, it closed.
Thor was petrified and shocked. The question of what just happened kept rolling in his head, along with who was going to find Loki.
"That was weird," Stark said, raising an eyebrow and sipping his coffee.
"Who is going to find him anyway? He was gone for four years and went to who knows where," Bruce Banner said while working on his experiment.
Thor didn't reply and looked down, overthinking the situation.
Not long after, another gateway opened. Thor thought it was his brother, only to see different people, resembling soldiers holding sticks with yellow tops. In the middle stood a man with gray hair.
The soldier-looking people spread out around the area.
"Who are you people to just suddenly barge into my place unannounced?" Stark demanded.
"The variant Loki has escaped," one of the soldiers said to Mobius. "A hint of his presence was detected here, sir," the soldier continued. "Looks like he escaped again."
"What do you mean?" Thor asked Mobius, raising an eyebrow and standing in front of him.
"It's confidential, brother of Loki," Mobius replied, prompting the other people to cease their activities.
"Let's leave. Loki went to the apocalypse," Mobius said, opening a gateway. Mobius had simply borrowed this device from one of the people in the TVA.
