Guilty Mind
Y/N stayed in her coma- like state for a few weeks, nearing a month. Her prolonged unconsciousness was concerning to everyone, as they still can't seem to figure out what's wrong. By the first week, her fever had broken just to come back hours later. Natasha and Wanda take turns staying with her, being the closest to the girl, and both feeling semi responsible. Both believing that they either pushed her too hard, or, should've paid closer attention to her in the days leading up to this.
Unknown to everyone else, Y/N was able to hear what was going on around her. She couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for everything they were doing to try to help her. But still she knew less than everyone else. Except for one thing. This had happened a while before but she tried to avoid thinking about it. She ignored these thoughts because, it had happened when she wasn't as in control of her powers. She couldn't help but wonder if it was her fault. If she was doing it to herself. It was embarrassing to think that she had just started to feel in control, just to lose it again.
Eventually, something did change. Seemingly out of nowhere, Y/N began to feel herself waking up, simultaneously relieved an cautious. She sits up to see Wanda still beside her sleeping. As quietly as she can, she reaching over, grabbing a glass if water. She sits for a while, ironically, enjoying the silence. A while later, Wanda begins to stir awake, looking over to where Y/N was sleeping for the past month. It's as though she doesn't see Y/N at first, as it take a moment for her to throw her arms around Y/N hugging her tightly. "I'm so glad to see you. Awake." Y/N clears her throat before whispering back, "I'm happy to see you too."
Y/N's POV
Within half an hour, everyone, excluding those on missions were in my room.
"So, how are you feeling?" I swallow. "I feel fine honestly." Bruce walks in the room smiling at me. "Y/N, it's great to see you awake." I smile back at him squinting slightly, my eyes still adjusting to the light. Wanda takes note of this, going over to the switch, turning off the lights. "Thanks." Bruce crosses over to the side of my bed. "Y/N..." He hesitates. "Y/N, we still don't know what exactly happened. We don't know wether or not... it could happen again." I look down playing with my hands. "I- I might know why." Bruce looks slightly surprised. "Alright then. Why do you think?" I clear my throat again. "W-well. A while ago, when I first noticed my powers, it was just a lot to handle and... I just, couldn't really deal with it. And well, you saw what happened."
"But you were doing pretty well with your training." I shrug feeling slightly embarrassed. "I thought so too." I hear someone clear their throat from the door way. I turn and see Agent Hill."What do you mean 'powers'?"
