Summary
Daisy gets kidnapped by Watchdogs, and Nat is giving a ride to an emo girl.
Note
This takes place before S4. I got this idea before Black Widow came out but managed to get this done only recently. So, yeah.

Daisy has run away from her team for quite some time now.

She just left the only people who accepted her, the only people that felt like a family for more than just a few months.

She threw all that away because she felt like she didn't deserve it.

Lincoln died for her.

Her mother died because of her.

Her father's memories erased because of her.

She can see it now, she destroys everything she touches.

And because of that, she chose to run away from her family, to make sure that she doesn't destroy them too.

She chose to muster all her anger, and hatred to herself and a group called Watchdogs.

She has been watching and hunting some of the Watchdogs for a few months now. They always target Inhumans and ambush them. Such a coward, they aren't even brave enough to fight an inhuman alone.

And now Daisy is sitting in her van in an alley. Looking at some Watchdogs who's gonna ambush an inhuman.

From her van, she can hear a faint sound from the inhuman.

"Who are you? What do you want?" The inhuman said, clearly afraid of them.

"We just want you." Even Daisy can hear his smirk despite not seeing his face.

"No, please. I.. I can give you money. Here, this is all I have. Please just leave me alone." The woman begged them while giving her money.

"As I said before, we only want you. We only want to clear this world from your races."

"I didn't do anything wrong to you!"

"Well, you didn't do anything, not yet. But there are some of your races that love to cause us trouble. We do this as a warning to them. No one messes with the Watchdogs." And then they begin to drag her.

Daisy thinks she should stop them right now before everything gets worse. She slid her van door open. From the vibrations that she sensed earlier, she can feel that there are 4 people there, including the inhuman. 'It should be easy enough.' Daisy thinks to herself.

"Let her go!" She said to them.

"This is none of your business, get lost!"

"I think it is my business when it involves Inhumans."

One of them then goes to her back, pointing a gun at her. "So you're one of them, huh? Nice then, we're gonna give you a lesson too."

She can hear the safety of the gun being released.

"You're way too confident. You don't know who I am and what I can do." She then quickly turns around and takes his gun.

Daisy didn't like to use her power unless it was really necessary. And she thinks it is best if she just handles them without her power. Also, they don't need to know what power she has.

Now she hit the head of the man who had pointed the gun at her.

Then she asked the two men while pointing the gun at them. "Now, will you let the nice lady go?" She tilted her head and asked sweetly.

One of them scoffed at her, "Yeah, never."

Only two men are standing right now, they both point their guns at Daisy.

Daisy raises her gun, "I think I'm fast enough to take down both of you."

"First of all, there are two of us." One of them said.

"Secondly, you will sleep so well that you will not be able to fight us." He smirked at her.

Daisy got confused at what he just said. But before she said anything she felt something sharp behind her neck.

She brings her hand up to her nape, pulling something from her nape and takes a look at it. It was a needle.

"What the — " Then she collapsed into the darkness.

In that darkness, she can hear a faint noise saying, "Sleep well, filthy inhuman."

She wanted to punch whoever said that, but she already fell asleep.

Unbeknownst to all of them, someone is watching them from afar. She watched from the beginning, when the first woman was threatened by this group, called the Watchdogs.

She has read about Watchdogs, they are an anti-alien group that wants to erase Inhumans. At first, they aren't this big, and not lethal. But suddenly they got more advanced technology to fight Inhumans.

She then got really curious about them and started to follow them. And now, she is here, watching them do their usual activities.

She wanted to help the first woman then, but the second woman showed up and helped the first woman.

Then she chose to watch them again, curious what the second woman would do.

When she sees her fighting skills, she feels like she has seen that fighting style. But she can't remember it.

Then suddenly the woman was injected with something, maybe an anaesthetic. Because she quickly collapsed to the ground after being injected by it.

They drag the unconscious woman and the first woman to their car. The first woman is screaming frantically asking for help, then one of the Watchdogs knocks her head with his pistol.

She came out of her hiding place and decided to follow them.

She stole — scratch that, she borrowed — a van that was nearby. She saw the second woman emerge from inside this van, maybe this van was hers. So it is fair if she borrows her van and saves her life, isn't it?

They stop at a warehouse near a harbour.

It looks pretty normal from the outside, but inside there are pretty advanced weapons, powerful enough to destroy a city.

'I thought Watchdogs were just some anti-alien group. What are they planning with this many weapons?' She thought to herself.

In the middle of the warehouse, she saw two women she had previously seen. Their hands were tied behind their backs as one. The second woman, who now she can see, is dressed like an emo girl.

She starts to gain consciousness and starts to look around the warehouse.

"So, this is where you plan your ambush? Gotta say it's pretty nice for guys like you. I thought it would be more — " Slap. She was slapped by one of the guys.

"Shut up, bitch." He said to her.

Daisy feels her cheek getting a bit hot from his slap saying, "It's not even hurt. But I'll make sure you regret it later."

"As if you can do anything right now."

Daisy just rolled her eyes, "So, what now? You just put us here, and wait for what?" She said while trying to quake the rope that ties in his hand quietly.

"We just wait for our boss. He'll know what to do with scums like you."

"Alright then, I'll wait for him." At that point, Daisy already managed to escape her hand from the rope.

She takes a look at the woman behind her, she looks okay and just unconscious. Daisy still keeps her act as an inhuman that doesn't have great power.

And she kinda wonders, she knows she isn't that famous. But she is pretty sure that she has done some damage to Watchdogs to make them remember her.

But well, if they don't know who she is then it's her advantage, right?

When the boss arrived, he wasn't what Daisy expected. Daisy thought of anything but the person standing in front of her.

The boss is styled like a businessman, neat, tidy, and complete with his suit.

This gave Daisy the feeling that they had grown faster, they weren't just lowly baddies anymore. They are financed by more powerful people. Maybe someone in the government.

The boss squatted in front of Daisy, looking at her face. "I feel like I've seen you somewhere. Have we ever met?"

"No, I think I'll remember if I met someone racist like you."

He smirked at her, "Yeah, maybe I just met you on the street or something. So, what is your power?"

"Do you want to know?"

"Yeah, I'm kinda intrigued by inhumans' power honestly."

"Come closer, I'll whisper it to you." She said with a smile on her face.

He put his ear closer to Daisy's mouth. His subordinates are a bit worried and warn him to not get close to her.

He just waved his hand at them and told them to stand down.

When his ear is close enough, Daisy quickly holds his hand and takes him as a hostage.

"You move and he dies." She told the subordinates.

"Stand down." The boss said to his subordinates that already have their guns pointed at Daisy.

They reluctantly follow his order and put their guns back in their holsters.

"Toss it away." Daisy said.

They then look at the boss, waiting for his nod. When he nodded they tossed it away.

"Now, let me go." He demanded Daisy.

"Yeah, not that easy. All of you, tie yourself with this." She throws a rope at them, and they tie theirselves.

Daisy grabbed a knife in one of her pockets.

She placed the knife at the boss's neck, right at his veins, "What did you plan with all these weapons?"

When he didn't answer her, she pushed the knife into his neck, drawing a little blood.

"Okay, okay. We plan to capture and exterminate all the Inhumans. If possible we are also looking for a way so we can kill all the Inhumans on earth with just one button."

Daisy frowned, 'Since when people get this crazy?'

"And how do you plan on doing the latter?"

"That's actually why we capture you and her. We wanted to test and see what makes you, Inhumans, different from us, human."

"We are human!"

"No, you aren't. Humans don't have powers, humans are good people like me!"

"You called yourself a good person when you planned on exterminating other humans?!"

"It's for the greater good!"

"Fuck you, I don't have the patience to have this talk with you."

She quaked his head, not enough to make him dead, but long enough to make him unconscious for a few hours. She also knocked all of his subordinates.

She then quakes all of their weapons into one and ties them into one, and gives a tape to each of their mouths.

After making sure they won't go away she checks the laptop in that warehouse. She pulls her USB from her boots and saves all of the information she can get.

She feels someone staring at her, and she looks in the direction the woman was before.

The woman already wakes up and looks so scared. She stands up and takes one of the bad guys' phones and gives it to her.

"You called this number and said that Watchdogs are planning something bigger and more dangerous. They will arrive here, and take you to a safe place.'' She said with a soothing voice to her, letting her know that she doesn't mean any harm to her.

The woman nods while trying to keep her tears from falling.

With that, she left her alone in that warehouse.

She looked around the warehouse and went to the car parked in front of the warehouse. She flat tires all of the tires and left one car for her to drive from there.

After a few minutes of driving, she pulled over to the side of the road. She got out of the car and left it there. She walked along the road, hoping someone would pass by and give him a lift.

Even if someone won't give her a lift it's already close enough to a city nearby, she will stay at a hotel for a night then quickly get a bus and move again.

Not long after she starts walking she hears a honk behind her. But weirdly, it sounds like her van's.

Before she turned around, the car was already beside her. She looks at her left side, it is her van.

How the hell did her van get here, she wonders.

When the windshield was lowered she saw Natasha Romanoff driving her car.

"Hey emo girl, do you need a ride?" The person inside said,

Daisy sighs, but accepts the offer and gets into her van. She just sits there in silence, still feeling a bit strange from whatever they gave her earlier.

And Nat just focuses on driving, not having a problem driving in silence.

Finally, Daisy can't hold her curiosity and asks her, "Not that I'm not grateful, but why is Black Widow giving me a ride in my van?"

"I just got curious when I saw you and Watchdogs in the alley. Then I decided to follow you."

"And yet, you didn't help me before. In the alley nor the warehouse."

"It seems you are capable enough to handle them on their own."

"True. But some help will be appreciated."

Nat just hummed.

"So, you just got curious? Not because someone sent you or anything like that?"

Daisy was thinking that May sent her to take her back.

At first, she wants to think it was Coulson. But he is dead to the Avengers, and he won't risk himself telling them he is alive just to take her back to the base.

"No, I wasn't sent by someone. Are you being after by someone?"

"Kind of, but because you aren't sent by someone then it's not important. Did you just pick up all of people that you find interesting without getting to know them at all?"

"Okay. And I'm sure Quake isn't a bad guy like the media said."

"Yeah, whatever."

"What's your real name?" Nat asks the emo girl beside her.

Daisy contemplates whether she should tell her or not. Maybe she can tell her that her name is Skye rather than Daisy?

Because Daisy Johnson has hurt so many people — her parents, her team, and her boyfriend.

Because Daisy Johnson is cursed

But in the end, she chose to tell her that she is Daisy Johnson. If something happens again, then it's proof that Daisy Johnson is no good for anyone.

"Daisy. Daisy Johnson."

Nat makes a face at her.

"What?" Daisy asks her impatiently.

"Nothing, just don't think of you as a Daisy in this emo outfit."

"Then what do you think my name is?" Daisy rolled her eyes.

Nat looks at the sky for a while, then she said, "I think Skylar suits you, or maybe Skye. I don't know. Definitely not Daisy." She said while shrugging.

Daisy's eyes widened slightly hearing she mentioned Skye. "That's funny, I used to call myself Skye."

"That's so far from Daisy, how did you get called Skye?"

She then just shrugged, "Long story."

And Nat only looks at her, giving an unreadable look.

Daisy chose to lower her windshield and put out her head so that she could feel the wind passing by.

"What did you find in that warehouse?" Nat asked her.

"Some important information. Not sure it has to do with Avengers though."

"There aren't Avengers anymore. We split out."

"Sorry to hear that. But I still don't see why you want to know about this."

"Let's just say after a long time hanging out with Steve, his patriotism kind of rubbed on me."

Daisy chuckled, "Okay, kind of makes sense. But I work alone."

Nat looked at her and raised her eyebrows, "You have high confidence in yourself. It's not like I'm going to be a burden for you."

"No, that's not what I meant. I just prefer to do this alone."

"How about we have a match without your power then if I win I can come with you?"

Daisy turns to raise her eyebrows, "I'm good, but I know that you're way better than me on fighting skills. But why are you so adamant about going with me?"

"I don't know, I just want to." Nat shrugged.

Nat herself didn't know why she was so eager to go with this woman. Her heart was telling her that she had to go with this woman, and she trusts her heart.

Even though sometimes she chose to ignore her heart, this time she chose to follow it. If it said it wants to go with her, then she will go with her.

Daisy looks at Nat's eyes, looking for any indication that she is lying. But there wasn't any indication of that, so she just said, "Fine."

Nat just continued to drive and asked Daisy, "Where to?"

"Anywhere that has a hotel. I'm getting sleepy right now."

"Okay."

Daisy closes her eyes while enjoying the cool breeze that brushes her face.

She hasn't felt this relaxed for a long time. Not since she got into SHIELD. Not since forever, she thinks.

Sometimes, she thinks that being a SHIELD agent is a curse.

She always ends up hurt, or worse she ends up hurting other people.

But on the other hand, she got these amazing people that she could proudly call a family.

But now, that family is gone. She won't have that family again after everything she did to them.

She also felt a little strange, how could she feel this relaxed when she was with someone she had just met. Even though she knew the person next to her is a good person, she still shouldn't be this comfortable. But it's not important, she will just try to enjoy this while she can and then sleep.

Nat wakes her up suddenly, still confused she quickly looks around, searching for immediate dangers, and asks Nat, "What's wrong?" While still looking everywhere but Nat.

"Nothing, you're calling someone name Lincoln in your sleep. And you look like you're having a nightmare. So I wake you up before it gets worse."

Daisy relaxed a bit, glad that nothing happened. But also feel an ache in her heart. "Oh, I see. Thanks."

Then they both went quiet, still driving through the night, not saying a single word.

But even though they both are quiet they feel okay with that. It feels like they can live like this forever. Driving while enjoying the night breeze, and just enjoying each other's company.

That's weird, right? To feel like that with someone you just met.

That question hangs in their head, and they don't have an answer for that.

When they arrive at the hotel, they book a room for two of them. At first, they want to order two rooms, but there is only one room with a single bed. So they take it.

Daisy and Nat grab their bag and bring it to their room.

The room is okay, it is pretty small but it is clean and decent enough for them. Beside the bed, there is a couch, a tv, and a table to eat. So, it's pretty good for the price.

"You can sleep on the bed, I'll take the couch." Daisy said to Nat while preparing the couch for herself.

"I'll sleep on the couch." Nat said with a resolution.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Fine. We'll both sleep in the bed. How about that?"

Daisy raises her eyebrow at Nat.

And Nat looked at the face Daisy made at her, "We can keep argue about who's gonna sleep on the couch if you want."

Daisy sighs, "Fine. You choose your side of the bed then."

Nat just nods and puts her things on the right table beside the bed.

After they both finished cleaning up themselves, they went to bed and slept.

Nat woke up first and then she went to the bathroom. Not long after Nat went to the bathroom Daisy also woke up. Thankfully they both didn't have a nightmare this time.

While waiting for Nat to finish taking a shower, Daisy went downstairs and ordered 2 cups of black coffee, 2 pancakes, and 2 waffles.

When Daisy returned to the room, Nat had finished her bath and was fully clothed.

Daisy put the food down on the table, "There are black coffees, pancakes, and waffles."

Nat looked at the table and said, "Thanks. Are you gonna eat all of that?"

"I have a fast metabolism. One of the perks of being half aliens." Daisy answers.

Nat then went to the table to pick up a coffee and a pancake, while Daisy went to take a bath.

After Daisy finishes taking a bath and dresses up, Nat asks her, "What's your plan to take on them?"

"Nothing specific, just gonna go after them, and beat them up I guess." She shrugged.

The red-haired woman shot her a look that says 'Are you kidding me?'

"Do you have a better plan?"

"Well, first we find them, do surveillance, then ambush them and ask their plan to 'exterminate inhumans'."

Daisy gives her an unimpressed look, "Basically my plan in a better word."

"Yeah, but I like it more when I say it."

"For a fucking best agent in SHIELD, you're unbelievable."

"So my guess is right, you're a SHIELD agent."

"Were."

"Why do you quit?" Nat gets more curious about Daisy.

"None of your business." She replied shortly, not exactly mad, but she makes it clear that she doesn't want to talk about it.

"Okay." Nat said, understanding that the past is in the past, no need to dwell on it anymore. She knows that better than anyone.

Daisy opens her laptop and sees all the information she got yesterday. Nat takes a seat beside her, looking at Daisy's laptop too.

"It looks like we need to go to Los Angeles." Nat said to Daisy.

Daisy nods, "Let's go then."

She grabs her coffee, food, and bag and then leaves the room.

When Nat went to take a driver seat, Daisy said, "Nuh-uh, it's my van and I'm the one who drives it."

"Yesterday you're fine with me driving it."

"Yesterday I was still intoxicated by whatever drug they gave me. Now, I'm sober."

Nat rolled her eyes, tossed the key to Daisy and went to the passenger seat.

They drive to Los Angeles in silence. And they don't feel bothered at all. It's nice to be in silence, and not have to think about anything. Just enjoying the weather and the company. It's not every day you get to be like this. Usually, their life is so full of hecticness, alien here, bad guys there. One mission is done, and there will always be another mission. There's always something to fight, and there's no peace at all.

Now they've been following Watchdogs together for over 2 months. Their fighting styles are more compatible. They fight together with a beautiful rhythm, a bit like dancing but still very effective against their enemies.

There are still a lot of Watchdogs out there that they need to deal with. Watchdogs' growth is pretty fast. Even when they ambush their warehouse all month, there is still more out there. But they believe they can beat them. Together.

After their eight ambushes together, they made a little ritual before they went in.

Daisy will always look at Nat and ask her, "You're with me, right?"

And Nat will look at her in the eyes, smiling, then says, "Always."
