The Fallen Prince
There it was, the battle against Thor had resulted in Asgard’s rainbow bridge being shattered with a powerful strike from mjolnir. Loki was sent flying with his brother near the ledge and as things looked grim Odin was there in a flash to hold onto both of his children.
“I-I could’ve done it for you father, for all of us.” Loki spoke out in reason. His actions against Jotunheim were malicious and irresponsible but to him all of it meant more, he wanted to please Odin and win recognition. That’s all Loki ever wanted.
But despite his hopes Odin shook his head in protest “No Loki.”
There it was, those words. It was like he just got stabbed in the heart by his own dagger, though can he blame odin. Loki was always known as the mischievous thorn in everyone’s back, no matter how many times he tried to change or appeal all he did was stir an uproar. Perhaps that’s what he gets for trying to even appease anyone he thought. After all, nobody expects to see much from the pitied frost giant left to die, just a shadow in his so called brother’s path. Just then the god of mischief felt a tear falling down his cheek as he let go of Odin’s grip.
“LOKI!” Thor yelled out, he tried to catch his brother’s hand but had already missed the chance to do so and watched in sadness as Loki fell into the oblivion of space.
So this was it, what a feeling. Something like and overall relief, was the world better off without him? Did it do well to fade out of the picture, guess it is fitting Loki thought, get whisked away into the eternal pits of space. It’s cold and alone just like him.
A few days later on earth, In a grassland located in Norway to be exact. Something from the sky fell to the ground causing a small crater to form that scared some of the sheep away. In the crater was Loki, he squirmed for a bit before waking up to the sight of a bright sky, Alive he thought, but why? He lifted his hand in the air to block the sun from his gaze and what he saw frightened him, his whole hand was blue. No...no it couldn’t be, as the god rushed out of his crater he went to a nearby pond to gaze at his reflection and to his horror he took in the view of clear blue skin and red eyes. A Worse thing to Loki than being gone from the universe was living with his true self.
“Go away..” He struck the water in anger and watched the ripples appear and fade out resulting in the same image, too filled with emotions he kept doing the same thing over and over but none of it really worked out. Loki eventually calmed down and sat himself near a rock, he held held his knees near his face wishing to just disappear, that was disrupted not so long after by the sound of approaching footsteps.
“Wanting more from others but blinded by hate, how sad.” Loki looked up to see an individual in yellow clothing resembling some sort of sorceress or mage. The god became startled at this person’s sudden appearance and reached into his pocket to find a dagger which to loki’s disappointment was absent from his possession, possibly lost as he drifted in space.
“There’s no need to struggle at the moment, you’ve already lost enough and from what I’ve seen and it doesn’t do me well to target you.”
The individual took down removed he good to reveal a bald woman, Loki looked down at the ground still hesitant on what to do.
“You seem lost, it must have been a long jounrey for you, come.” The woman would then open a portal to her side in the shape of a sparking circle. Loki glanced at what she did and pondered on it for a second, could it be magic? The portal led into a big room with a circular window that had a marking in the middle, Having no other place to go Loki decided to follow her. Little did he know this simple act would change his life.
