Realizing and Fixing The Past
Summary
An accident makes people realize what they can loose and they begin to change.or The Jiang parents have an accident and well Wei Wuxian and Yu Ziyaun comes to an understanding.
Note
Lin Li Hua is Madam Jin's name.

Multiple pings came from Wei Wuxian’s phone causing him to stop feeding his son the banana mush and look at it. Lan Yuan immediately started making a fuss alerting Lan Wangji from his work that he was doing in the living room.

“Wei Ying?” He called out and when his husband didn’t answer he got up and walked over. Wei Wuxian was clutching his stomach and staring at his phone.

“Wei Ying, look at me. What’s going on?”

“Uncle Jiang and Madam Yu got into an accident. Madam Jin and Jin Guangshan as well. Jin Guangshan died but the others are in fatal conditions. Lan Zhan '' He said in shock looking at his husband who immediately pulled him into a hug. A-Yuan sensing the problems immediately stopped banging the table and opted to chew on his fist.

“W-we have to go to the hospital.” Wei Wuxian said.

“I’ll get the tickets ready my love.” He pressed a kiss to Wei Wuxian’s forehead and wiped his tears before collecting his laptop.

…..

A-Yuan stayed back with Nie Huaisang as Lan Xichen and Nie Mingjue had to come due to them being business partners with the Jin and Jiang Company.

“Wei Wuxian, are you happy that your plan to kill them got through?” A person with a phone suddenly said. As he was walking into the hospital. Lan Wangji was ahead of him signing the forms and getting the information needed.

“What?” He asked, his voice cracking.

“I asked if you were happy that you finally got to get rid of the Jiang heads.”

“Yeah, how did you do it?’

“Was the Jins part of your plan too or were they simply collateral damage?” Slowly the paparazzi started swarming him right in front of the hospital asking questions that made him want to pull his hair out.

“Are you fucking serious? I will sue every single one of you and I will sue you for everything you have if Wei Wuxian doesn’t get to see the Jiangs before anything worse happens.” Jin Zixuan said. Being a successful lawyer with little to none losses. They were scared and backed off immediately.

“Your siblings are inside.” He nodded. Lan Wangji who was signing stuff came up to Wei Wuxian.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there. Madam Yu is in VIP #2 and Fengmian is in VIP #3.” He pressed another kiss to his forehead.

“A-Xian. Father is awake.” Jiang Yan Li called out and immediately they piled into his room all rambling about how worried they were. Wei Wuxian shared his concerns as well and they all chuckled.

He chuckled at a dead joke and turned his head to the side, seeing Madam Yu sitting up and reading a book. She looked as though she was up for a very long while. The furrow on her brows shows that she is in pain but she doesn’t say anything as she is the only one there. Wei Wuxian excused himself and immediately Lan Wangji followed after.

“Lan Zhan. Madam Yu is alone. Can you-” Lan Wangji pulled out a second fruit bowl from his bag and handed it to Wei Wuxian, reading his thoughts well.

“I’ll ask Xichen to bring over some more soup.” He said pointing at Jiang Fengmian feeding his kids the soup while eating as well.

“Madam Yu..” Wei Wuxian called out cracking open the door. The last person she thought would visit her is the first.

“What are you doing here?” She called out grumpily.

“I got a fruit bowl for you. Lan Zhan made soup and it will be delivered soon.”

“I told the nurses not to let anyone know I was awake.”

“I was the one who saw that you were awake. How are you feeling?” He asked, walking around the room. He washed the knife and got an extra plate as he took out all of the pineapples knowing how much she hates it.

“Better than last night. Did you just come?” She asked, putting the book down and taking the fruit bowl. She was shocked that he wasn’t here to gloat at her or even behave cruel to her.

“Yeah. A-Yuan was throwing a fit that he wasn’t allowed to come. And the paparazzi were a bit of trouble. How long have you been awake?”

“Last Night. You should let the child come and see Fengmian in case anything happens.” She said with a frown.

“Why not you as well? A-Yuan would love to see you.” He said.

“What do you want, Wei Wuxian? Are you here to tell me something? Why are you here?” The machine near her showed that her blood pressure was rising.

“You see me. I don’t know how to explain it but you and Lan Qiren are the only ones who really see me. Everyone else sees my mother and so do you two but you both also hate me for me and while I would rather you like me. It’s better you hating me for something I did than something my mother did before I existed.” He chuckled and scratched his neck.

“Your father was my best friend. Your mother was just that woman who came and slowly took my friend away from me. Fengmian and I have been secretly betrothed since we were five. A kiddie crush that was taken too heavily by the adults. I don’t hate your mother but I do envy her and not for the reasons most would think. I never thought of Changze as a potential husband but I did think of him as an elder brother I never had. I was 12 years younger than my 3rd sister. I was the accident baby. The Jiang and Yu were never close but area wise it was better to have play dates with the two.”

“So you knew my father since you were five.”

“Yes. His parents raised me. Jinzhu and Yinzhu were raised alongside me by them. There was a terrible flu that Changze caught but the others were strong enough to get rid of it and they died. If I survive this. I’ll show you to their graves. Now where was I. Ah right Changze taught me how to swim. My eldest sister Zifan was already married when I was born and every time I was around I reminded her husband of what she didn’t have. A child. So she took me to Yunmeng, cut my hair and left me there for a year. The Wei’s raised me and even though Changze knew who I was he kept me there. Jinzhu and Yinzhu were the stable girls under their care and Changze said I could keep them as they kept following me around. My parents thought that I was with Zifan so they didn’t care that much. More freedom for them, am I right?” she chuckled slowly and sadly.

“So they are my aunts. Are Jinzhu and Yinzhu still in Yiling visiting family?”

“Yes they are, I'm not sure if they are related to you however.”

“Wei Ying. Madam Yu.” Lan Wangji bowed and brought in the soup and started to take it out for her. Lan Wangji gave her the small bowl and then took a seat near Wei Wuxian.

“Would it be okay if I took a nap on the couch?” He asked and Madam Yu nodded. As said, he took off his shoes and the second his head touched the couch he was pretty much out.

“He has been working like crazy for the past couple days and A-Yuan wasn’t making his naps easier.”

“Ah right. Would you like me to continue?” She asked, seeing him look at her.

“Yes, however you should eat first.”

“I’m not a Lan. I can eat and talk. So while Changze sneaked out and learned how to do Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu as Fengmian was learning, he came back and taught us as well. Mmm your husband’s soup is very tasty and perfectly seasoned. Anyways Fengmian found out and was kind of jealous so he told my parents where I was. They were upset because how dare I play and be close with servants and handymen. But they agreed to keep Jinzhu and Yinzhu as my maids. Changze and I were still sneaking around to prank and train that was until I turned 16 when Cangse showed up taking Fengmian and Changze’s attention. She was very annoying however. When ever Changze would braid my hair she would roll around and beg for her hair to be done as well. It was super annoying but seeing Changze flustered was worth it. Changze was 5 years older than me and Cangse was 3 so when she turned twenty one they went and eloped but in truth I was right there. I bought their outfits and I loaned them the address of my grandmother’s vacation house where they had their honeymoon. Fengmian was jealous because he thought that Changze was his best friend but then again in truth Changze was Fengmian’s only friend. Your uncle was a snitch. Be a dear would you and refill this.” He chuckled and did as she asked.

“Thank you. Ah, I married Fengmian when we were 24 and 27. We had Yanli a year later and then three years later me and Cangse got pregnant at the same time. When they died I searched everywhere for you and all I could see was Cangse in you. I was sad and upset because it was obvious that you took after her and not after him. And all Fengmian did was encourage that side of you. I believe my jealousy that I wasn’t with my brother for so long made me hate you and everything you did. I missed him so much.” Doubling over she let out a sob. He took the half empty bowl from out of her hand and hugged her.

She held onto the back of his shirt and sobbed into his chest. They just sat there and cried in each other's arms.

Jiang Yanli walked in and froze. Lan Wangji, who had just woken up when he heard the sobs, looked at her and shook his head. He got up and quietly left the room.

“They need some time alone.” He said and she nodded.

Everyday Wei Wuxian would pack lunch for her made by Lan Wangji and listen to her talk about how chaotic his mother was and how much his father loved to tell dad jokes and the fact that Cangse loved those jokes and didn’t find them boring at all. The Jiang Siblings came by to visit her and Yanli nagged her so much about the fact that she wanted to keep her awake secret.

“The doctors said that you can go on wheelchair rides. Are you up for it?” He asked and she nodded.

“I heard Lin Li Hua was awake. Can you take me to her?”

“Yes I can.” He helped her into the wheelchair and took her around the hospital then carried her to Madam Jin who was being fed an apple by Jin Zixuan.

“Li Hua being fed by someone. I don’t believe it.”

“Ziyaun not arguing with Wei Wuxian. I don’t believe it either.” They chuckled.

“Auntie, would you like me to peel a pear for you?” Ah right around their many times together she told him to call her Auntie and told Wangji to do the same as well

“Yes please.” Zixuan kissed his mother’s forehead and pulled Wei Wuxian over to the fruits where he peeled a pear for Madam Yu.

“I guess I got this from my father.” He said turning around and catching Yu Ziyuan and Lin Li Hua locking lips.

“Auntie!!” He yelled then gasped even louder. He started to hit Zixuan’s shoulder in excitement. “I knew it. I knew it. I knew it.” he squealed.

“Mother what about-”

“What, your already cremated father?” She asked and Wei Wuxian giggled then started to cackle.

“Huaisang would freak out if he finds out that I am right. But I’ll keep it a secret Auntie?”

“You don’t need to. The pear.”

“Madam Yu. I have something to tell you.” He said and she looked up at him.

“I’m pregnant.” She gasped and stared at him.

“Wait A-Yuan is only 10 months old. How will you handle two kids under two? Oh dear.”

“I’ll have you Madam Yu and their many uncles and aunts.” She smiled at him.

The smile she gave him then was soft and definitely held a secret meaning. That secret meaning revealed itself three days after A-Yuan came to visit them and he called her Popo.

They were staring at the tulips in the hospital garden when she grabbed onto his hand.

“You are an amazing child. I’m glad that I got to see that. Do me a favour. When you give birth to these beautiful little girls. Why don’t you name her Daiyu and Lianyun?”

“Of course but why those names? And why two girls. Why not two boys or…” He paused as her hand slackened and her head rolled to the side.

“Auntie Yu. AUNTIE!!! Help someone.”

Yu Ziyuan passed away from the car crash’s injuries and stage four breast cancer and three days later Lin Li Hua passed as well out of grief and her injuries as well.

As stated on both of their wills they wanted to be cremated together and some of their ashes placed in a replica of the boat they met in and sailed in the river they met.

In her will she made sure to split her money evenly between her three kids and she set up a college fund for the four Lan/Weis, two Jin/Jiang and the one Jiang/Wen children. She also left a location to where the Wei’s originated. She talked about how she is sorry she didn’t tell anyone about her diagnosis but she felt it was time to go and be reunited with her family.

“What family, when her family is here in Meishan?” Yu Zifan said with a frown.

“She meant the Wei’s, the same handymen you didn’t want her hanging out with.” Wei Wuxian spat. He frowned at how adamant she was about him having two baby girls right then.

“Yuan er.” A voice called out startling the teenager. Lan Sizhui turned around and ran to his fathers, his sisters Daiyu and Lianyun were teasing each other about the gender of their latest sibling and cousin and Jiang Yan Li and Wei Wuxian were pregnant at the same time.

“Jin Ling and Jiang Luxia are still in classes, how about we go and have some ice cream.”

“But what if Auntie Wen gets mad at you eating sweets.”

“Then we won’t tell her.” Four ghosts watched over them.

Told you he would have four kids.” Yu Ziyuan yelled to Cangse who thought he would stop at three kids.

“Ugh. I hate this. Changze please tell her to stop.” Ignoring the two, Lin Li Hua and Wei Changze played cards.

“Why did you have to marry the chaotic one?”

“Why did you have to like my meimei?” they didn’t answer each other and just giggled fondly.
