Chapter 18
It was Tuesday today, every class is the same as usual. Darcy and her witty comments, Yelena and her antics, Pepper being the good friend she is, and Wanda who seemed to become more open of who she is.
It was 5pm, I am currently speedworking my essay on Ms. Carter's assignment, I only need two more sentences then I'm done. I kept tapping my pen on the desk until some of the ink spilled out, good thing I have spare paper laying around so I was able to clean it before it dried.
As I finished the essay, I was finally able to stretched my back and arms and being able to relax for a while. I heard my phone buzz to see that I got a message from Wanda.
Malysh<3: are coming with us later at dinner?
Tasha<3: i can't, my parents are picking me up to driving me to practice :(
Malysh<3: that's ok
Malysh<3:as long as you text me when you get back promise?
Tasha<3: i promise :)
Malysh<3: what time will you be back?
Tasha<3: about 7 to 7:30
Tasha<3: don"t worry i'll text you
Malysh<3: be careful ok?
Tasha<3: i will :)

Malysh<3: wait I forgot to change something
Tasha<3: what is it?

Malysh<3: there much better :)

I sighed as I put my phone down so I can prepare my things before my parents arrive. I already miss Wanda's company even if it was just two hours ago.
I already put my extra clothes, my training gear and my wallet in the bag and just sat around trying to find what can distract me until 6 o'clock.
Unfortunately Yelena wasn't here to make the time pass by since she had to go to the city to buy some fabrics for her self projects, so I tried fixing my bed, arranging and rearranging all my books or maybe even a few stretches to prepare my body for later.
it was finally 6, that's when my parents texted me to head down and meet them in the parking lot. I raced down the stairs adding more preparation on my body plus I don't have the patience to take elevator right now.
I arrived at the lot to see that Alexei brought the car they were gonna give me for my birthday instead of the family one which made me a bit confused.
"You won't be going to practice today." Alexei spoke up.
I stood there more confused as ever.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well today we are going to get you're driver's licence." Melina said.
"No wait, really?" I exclaimed.
"Yep, now hope in and let's head there." Alexei said.
We all got in my soon-to-be car and drove our way there. While we were heading there I decided to tell them about Wanda.
"So, I'm seeing this girl..." I started.
"It hasn't been a week, yet you already found her?" Alexei chuckled.
"That's great solnyshko, when can we meet her?" Melina smiled looking back at me from the front seat.
"Her name is Wanda, and I'm taking her out on saturday." I said smiling from the thought of Wanda.
"Within two days I already told her about them without her even trying to force me to say it. When she smiles her eyes light up like a thousand stars, and her hair it was the softest thing I've ever touched." I gushed.
"Well she seems like a lovely girl, and from the looks of it you are inlove with her." Melina smiled at her daughter's happiness just by mentioning Wanda.
"I... I guess I do." I accepted the it as a fact that I am madly in love with the Wanda Maximoff.
We finally arrived here and that I can finally get my licence, I turned my phone to silent mode so I won't get distracted, eventually the test started. The instructor looked strict but sometimes looks can be decieving, I managed to take mental notes of where he pointed the gears, the pedal and the breaks were.
It was a simple task to drive around the course, knowing the rules and regulations and lastly the parallel parking. I managed to ace the test since Alexei had been teaching me the basics since I was sixteen, now I am finally able to get my drivers licence.
It went longer than I expected, it ended like about 8pm but hey atleast I got my licence now. I was able to drop my parents off at home and drove back to school. I parked near the dorms and that's where I remembered I forgot to text Wanda, great she's gonna kill me.
I took my phone out to see that there were a bunch of miss calls from Wanda, ten texts from Yelena, Pepper and Darcy which I assumed they got my number from Wanda. Now I'm totally sure they're gonna be pissed.
I quickly ran up the stairs and unlocked the door to my room hearing the voices of three people in the room. Wanda was sitting on my bed, while Pepper and Yelena were on hers. I tried opening the door slowly but it betrayed me by creaking.
"NATALIA ALIANOVNA ROMANOVA!"
"Shit." I muttered under my breath.
Fuck it. I went inside only to be greeted by a stinging pain that went across my face, I held my cheek for a moment processing what just happended. Wanda just slapped me and I don't know how to react, all I see is the worried and angered expression on her face.
Yelena and Pepper just sat there suprised at what Wanda did. Neither one muttered or wanted to interrupt in risk of upseting Wanda even more.
"Where were you?!? We tried calling you, we tried texting you but why didn't you answer any of them?!" She yelled me, her eyes were glossy like she was about to cry.
"I- I uh I-" I stammered.
"You said you were gonna call at 7, Natalia it's been two hours and I didn't receive anything not even a text!" Wanda said closing her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I- " I tried to reason but nothing was coming in to mind.
"Sorry doesn't cut it Natalia." She spat.
"Would you forgive me if I gave you a reason?" I said in hopes whe would say yes.
"You better give me a good reason." She glared.
"Well you see, my parents didn't take me to practice because they uh-" I trailed off.
"They what Natalia?" She said squinting her eyes.
"They took me on a driver's test which was unexpected and it took a while since they did a lot quizes and I had to turn my phone to silent mode so I can't get distracted." I answered.
Wanda didn't say a word, she was processing what the older girl just said trying to find how she could forgive her without sounding to forced.
"Ok." She said pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Do you forgive me?" I said skeptically.
She bit her lip and sighed deeply. "I forgive you but that doesn't mean I'm not mad at you."
"It's okay, I promised that I'd call you by 7 and I broke it." I said walking towards her.
"I'm sorry, even if I said it a million times I'm sorry." I said wrapping my arms around her.
"Okay uh- We're gonna give you two some privacy, come on Yelena." Pepper said dragging Yelena out and shutting the door. We just stood there in silence as she nestled her head on my chest.
"You scared me." She whispered.
"I know darling, I know." I said softly.
"No you don't, you don't know how I would've have been if I ever lost you." She said looking up at me with fear sketched on her eyes.
"You didn't lose me, I would never leave you." I said trying to comfort her.
"Promise?" She said.
"I- I promise." I smiled.
"And don't ever! Ever break that promise." She pleaded.
"I won't, I don't plan on leaving you anytime soon." I said holding her tightly.
