Chapter 13
We eventually finished our dinner and went our seperate ways. When me and Yelena arrived back in our dorm.
Tasha<3: tell me more about yourself :)
I texted Wanda while Yelena kept making fun of me for texting her even though we just saw eachother, then she asked me a topic I never really expected since I first moved here in America.
"Do you ever miss speaking our language?"
"You mean russian?"
"Yeah, ever since my parents left me it's been so long since I spoke it."
"Well how about this if were here in our dorm, we should speak it more often to refresh our vocabulary."
"That be a great idea, should we start now?"
"Конечно" (sure). I answered in russian.
"так что происходит между тобой и вандой?" (so what's going on between you and Wanda?)
"я пригласил ее на свидание." (I asked her out on a date.) I said diverting my eyes away from her.
"вау, ты быстро двигаешься." (wow you move fast.) She mused.
"Я правда думаю, что она мне нравится. (I really think I like her.)" I said completely comfortable with the atmosphere.
"Я мог видеть это, ты и она" (I could see it, you and her.) She smiled.
Вернемся к родителям, что вы имели в виду, когда они бросили вас?" (Back to your parents, what do you mean when they left you?) I said out of concern.
"они оставили меня здесь с шести лет и ник из жалости дал мне стипендию. (They left me here since I was six and nick gave me a scholarship out of pity.) She said her eyes glistening and tears start to form her eyes.
"Пытались ли они когда-нибудь связаться с вами?" (Have they ever tried to contact you?)
"Нет. Ни одного сообщения" (No. Not even one message). She said as one tear escape her eye.
"Это не имеет значения, если бы они заботились, они бы не оставили меня в первую очередь" (It doesn't matter, if they cared they wouldn't have left me in the first place.) She said spiting venom on every word.
I stood up and hugged her, not saying a word but providing her with comfort and support. She cried on my shoulder, a few hiccups but she managed to gain her composure back.
"Ты знаешь..." (You know...) She paused to wipe her tears.
"Ты единственный, кто знал об этом, кроме Ника" (You're the only one that knew about this aside from Nick) She chuckled sadly.
"Вы знали о моем прошлом, это то же самое, что я знаю о вашем." (You knew about my past, it's just the same that I know about yours.) I smiled.
I let go of her and we stood there in silence, as I was about to sa something my phone buzzed causing both of us to look.
"I think that enough russian for today. You should probably get that, you wouldn't want Wanda waiting do you?" She chuckled.
"Yeah I wouldn't want that" I said chuckling back.
She laughed as she heads to bed, while I looked at my phone.
Malysh<3: what's there for me to tell?
Tasha<3: honestly?
Tasha<3: just anything that's about you that's fine with me
Malysh<3: i don't know what to tell you though
Tasha<3: how about we play twenty questions?
Malysh<3: what's that?
Tasha<3: its a game where we each get 20 questions to ask each other
Malysh<3: i like that idea :)
I smiled at her text earning a look from Yelena, I can already tell from her eyes that she's telling me I'm clearly smitten. She's not wrong though but I'm not letting her win this. I shook my head and went back to texting Wanda.
Tasha<3: okay you go first
Malysh<3: okay
Malysh<3: how old were you when you started ballet?
Tasha<3: i was maybe six? I think? Ever since my parents died I've already been doing ballet
Malysh<3: im sorry :'(
Tasha<3: no it's okay
Tasha<3: it's my turn to ask now
Malysh<3: ask away
Tasha<3:How old are you?
Malysh<3: just turned 17
Malysh<3:You?
Tasha<3: almost 18
Malysh<3: when's your birthday?
Tasha<3: It's on November 22
Tasha<3:How about yours?
Malysh<3: It was last February 16
Malysh<3: did you get adopted when your parents died?
Tasha<3: yeah, they're great parents, I should introduce you to them next time
Malysh<3: I'd love to :)
Tasha<3: that's great :)
Tasha<3: how old were you when you first went here?
Malysh<3: I was fourteen I guess? Fury found me and my brother in an alleyway, so he took us in and I'm in the same scholarship as Yelena
Tasha<3: that's good i guess
I felt so stupid sending it that I just mentally slap myself, then I felt my hand buzzed, I hurriedly look at her text.
Malysh<3: anyways, its my turn to ask
Malysh<3: you said your parents died, how did you find out?
Tasha<3: they died in a car crash when i was 8, they were going to pick me up from ballet class that day. i think i found out while i was waiting outside then a foster care unit came
Tasha<3: that's that and now i have good adoptive parents
Malysh<3: that's good
Malysh<3: its your turn to ask now
Tasha<3: i know
Tasha<3: when you said Fury found you and your brother, what happened before that?
Malysh<3: it's a long story tbh
I glanced at the time to seen that it was 8, I usually sleep between 10 and 12, so I don't staying up to talk to her.
Tasha<3: don't worry i got time
Tasha<3: how about we pause this and I could call you so you could tell me about it
Malysh<3: sure
Before I dialed her number and call her, I stood up to turn off the lights since Yelena is already asleep. A few rings had passed and she finally answered.
"Sorry I had to wait for Pepper to fall asleep." She laughed.
"It's fine, so tell me, what happened before Fury found you?" I said laying down and find a comfortable position just to listen to her.
"We were running away from our father that day, we just got tired from all..." She stopped talking, I can her sniffling from the other side.
"Take your time wands, I'm here" I said softly.
"We got tired of all his beatings, and that day, he told me to set the table but I dropped a plate due to a bruise I got the day before.." She inhaled sharply and paused trying to find her words.
"It's okay wands, It's okay, he's not here anymore."
"He- he grabbed me... He- he almost raped me nat." She whispered, it was barely audible but I managed to hear it, and after that I just saw red.
"That bastard" I spat.
"If it wasn't for Peitro, he would have done it. Peitro punched him hard enough to fall on the ground..." She collected herself.
"He just took my hand and we just ran until we were so far away..." She cried softly not waking up her roommate.
"We hid in that alleyway for hours, until Fury walked by and noticed us and offered us a place to stay..." She cried even more.
"Shhh don't cry darling, he's gone now." I softly said.
"I'm here." I whispered but enough for her to hear.
"Can you come over?" She said wearily.
