The weather in Liyue never disappoints, it’s practically always sunny, and the morning breeze is so refreshing. The streets are filled with citizens and merchants from all the corners of Teyvat.
Xiangling is Chef Mao’s daughter, she is an incredible cook, she never ceases to impress the clients with new recipes, although they may have.. Peculiar ingredients, her cuisine is greatly appreciated! Xiangling has met many other great cooks too, like Brook, for example, who makes delicious meat-based food, she even got to compete against her in a Cook-off, and in the end, Xiangling was victorious, with the help of the traveller and Paimon, of course. Xiangling also has a partner with whom she travelled across all of Teyvat, Guoba. She’s known her trusty companion for what feels like ages now!
Xiangling is a very extroverted and cheerful person, she could tell the world her deepest secret!
Well… Maybe not her deepest secret.
She always thought she’d die of embarrassment if people found out that the talented and well-known Xiangling was.. Well.. She has a huge crush on one of her friends. One of her best friends.
Xinyan.
She’s an extremely talented musician, Xiangling loves her music! And she loves Xin-... Her style!
Anyways, Rock ‘n’ Roll isn’t very popular in Liyue, but Xinyan is getting more and more fans by playing all around the Harbour.
Xiangling would tell herself it was some sort of phase and shrug it off, but she soon learnt that she was indeed in love with the young musician, she adored her guitar solo during the last Lantern Right, she was in absolute sync with Hu Tao.
Xiangling had watched the whole performance, she even memorised the lyrics after having asked Xinyan to sing it for her over and over again.
Xiangling was extremely grateful to Xinyan for having brought a whole new level of happiness in her life and she wanted to repay her kindness with something.
And the first thing she thought of was a special dish she could make for her.
She thought about what she could make many times over, yet she couldn’t find anything, so the first thing she thought of was to ask her good friend the traveller for advice.

‘’So.. You came to us to ask us what dish Xinyan would like to eat..?’’ asked the blond(e) outlander.
‘’Correct! Any ideas?’’
Xiangling was looking at the traveller with excitement, wondering what ideas they may have.
‘’Well.. During my time in Sumeru, a friend showed me this simple dish named ‘Pita pockets.’’
‘’Yes yes! They’re absolutely delicious!!’’ exclaimed Paimon.
The young Chef thanked the Traveller for their help and left quickly to go prepare the dish, the outlander was also kind enough to land them the recipe.
… 36 minutes later.
The dish was finally ready, Xiangling had put much effort and love into making it, even adding special ingredients from Liyue! And so, she began looking for Xinyan.
It practically took her just a few seconds, as the girl was easy to find, easily distinguished from the crowd with her punk/rock look, her hair put up in a spiky bun, and always walking with her guitar.
Xiangling trotted over to the young lass excitedly.
‘’Oh, Xiangling! What a pleasant surprise seeing you here!!’’ exclaimed the girl.
‘’Xinyan, hello hello! I wished to find you in order to give you something I had prepared for you!’’
Xinyan seemed a bit curious as to what Xiangling would give her;
‘’What did you want to give me?’’ asked the lassy.
‘’I prepared a dish that originates from Sumeru named pita pockets! A.. err.. Way to express my affection for you!’’ Xiangling handed the dish to Xinyan, who was as red as a tomato now.
‘’Oh, I-! uh.. T-thanks for the gift..!’’ stuttered the girl who had turned beet red.
Just like that, Xinyan dug in, she could tell there were some ingredients from her homeland, and plenty of ingredients coming from the Nation of Wisdom. The dish was extremely delicious, as it was prepared by a great cook. Xinyan then thanked Xiangling for the meal, telling her about her opinion on it.
‘’Well, if you ever want me to prepare you another dish, just ask me.. hehe..’’
