It's been 2.5 years since Tony left Natasha and Romanoff industries, and started to work for shield.
through that time, a lot of things happened.
Tony became one of the best agents of shield of course next to Clint and Natasha, but sadly him and Natasha never have a chance to meet each others.
Natasha found to herself new assistant.
there is also something happened Howard was working on since WW2.
He found him.
He found Steve, Steve Rogers.
He found Captain America, the golden American boy. He finally found him after more than 70 years, in the Atlantic Ocean. And now he is in shield, trying to get him out of the ice.
Everyone told him that he wouldn't survive this. He had already died. But Howard does know inside him that Steve is still alive because of the serum, but there is a problem, he knew that would happen and he is scared that it will destroy everything.
Peggy. his and Peggy's wedding is next month. Every time they choose a date, there is something to stop them, for a whole 3 years, he couldn't marry his love. But this time, nothing will stop him, not Steve nor anything else.
"So, you have been searching for him for 70 years?"
Tony asked Howard, who's watching the men trying to get the ice off Steve, Peggy is standing next to Howard and fighting the tears from falling.
Howard didn't tell anyone about Tony being his son except Alexie and Nick.
"Yeah, Steve is the best thing I created in my whole life, I believe in him, I believe that someday he will bring peace to the world"
"Steve is a great man, he's kind, charming, he fought with his dear old friend Bucky who fell off the train through the war, and..."
The tears start to fall from Peggy's eyes and the sob escaped her mouth. Howard hugged her while Tony looked at both of them with pity.
if he lost Rhodey or Natasha, he doesn't know what he would do, he walked to them and hug the both of them awkwardly. Howard looked at Tony with something in his eye. Howard wanted to say 'I didn't know that this is what you feel when you hug your future wife and son together for the first time ever would be like'
but the moment didn't last long.
"Mr. Stark, Mr. Stark!, he is alive, captain Rogers is still alive, we are now going to check on his health and body, if he is okay we will only have to wait for him until he wakes up to see if there is any other problems"
"Okay, thank you Jim, thank God, he is alive" said Howard as he fixed his hair, then he pointed at Alexie and shouted.
"I was right ,in your face Romanoff, in your ugly big face" Tony and Peggy start to laugh at Howard. Alexi just sat there and rolled his eyes.
One day later, Peggy and Howard are waiting in Steve med bay's room for him to wake up. He is supposed to wake up soon. Tony is with them in case anything happened.
One hour later. Steve start to move and his eyes opened. The radio station is on and playing the American football match. Steve sat on the bed instead of laying on it to have a better view as he looked around him and his eyes fell on a man with black hair and a goatee. His eyes are brown and he is short, maybe in his thirties or something, next to him is another man and a woman, they looked so familiar,w- wait.
"P- peggy, Howard?" said Steve, trying to get up from the bed, they are old, older than the last time he saw them.
Howard and Peggy walked to Steve and hug him. They all hugged each others, happy that they returned together, as friends and family.
After tears and smiles shared between the three of them Steve is the first to speak.
"wh-what happened, why the both of you are old?" they were about to answer but came out of nowhere, Nick Fury "captain Rogers, welcome to 2012"
"W-wait what?!" Steve's face suddenly become so pale and Howard decided to explain to Steve
"Steve, there's a lot of things happened and you don't know anything about yet. you have been in the ice for 70 years, the war ended, and we won"
there's some panic in Steve's eyes. The last thing he remembers was asking Peggy for a dance, and now he can see something he didn't want to ever see in her fingers, except with him, it's an engagement ring.
"Uhh, I think it will be a good idea if all of us got out and let him have some space...of course if you don't mind"
said Tony trying to get Howard and Peggy out, he knows Steve Rogers loved Peggy Carter, and maybe he was planning to marry her. he doesn't want Steve to know that Peggy is engaged to someone else like that.
"No, wait, I- I want to know everything I've missed"
they all started to tell him everything except the part where Peggy is engaged Howard.
"Peggy, I'm sorry I wasn't there's for you through all of this, I'm sorry that I left you alone and didn't come to the dance, I- I promise you I can compensate you for everything-"
"Steve, there is something we didn't tell you about, Peggy and I are..."
Howard took a deep breath, then he looked at Steve
"our wedding is the next month, I'm so sorry pal" Steve looked at him with wide sad eyes.
"B- but, I... She was the only one I ever loved and she loved me back, I..."
"Steve, We have a kid together, in 1979 we had a one night stand and we had a kid in it, Howard didn't want it, and I couldn't have the kid because I'm old and my job is dangerous, I gave him to a family, me and Howard have been kidnapped from hydra and they made experiences on us, they even inject us with a de-aged serum, we are supposed to be older than that, gosh, we are supposed to be dead. Now, after all this time, we are looking for our son" after Peggy finished Howard start to cough, they all looked at him and he sweared under his breath.
"What?"
"Howard Antony Stark, do you know where our son is ?" Asked Peggy with narrow eyes and bitter voice.
"No honey I don't, believe me-" While they continued arguing, Tony looked at Steve and walked to him. He patted on his back.
"Hey, I know how you feel, I know that feeling, I also loved a woman, we literally kissed, but many things got us apart like she was my boss, she is rich, beautiful,smart, every man dream of having a girlfriend like her, but I had to leave working for her because they needed me in here and I didn't have any other choice but to work for them in here, they said that she can get any other assistant. Oh, also, don't tell anyone about that"
Steve laughed at him, but even though, he still looked a bit sad. Finally, the argument between Howard and Peggy ended. Peggy isn't convinced, so she decided that she will let it go only this time.
After a long day and patrolling, Tony returned back to his home. He first went to pick Peter up. He's sitting on the chair by the table next to May and doing his homework, while Ben is doing some work, he didn't really look so well.
"Dad you are back! how are you doing ?" Asked Peter as he looked at Tony with a big smile and then looked back at his homework.
"I'm fine little man, Ben, may, thanks for take caring of Peter, come on Pete-" Peter was about to get up, but Ben stopped him.
"Wait Tony, we need to have a little nice conversation, Frist how was your
'superhering' part time job"
Of course, after everything happened, someday, Ben went down to Tony's lab and found him fixing his suit, at that moment. Ben was so angry at Tony for not telling him, he told May, but not Peter.
While Peter, Someday he was looking for Tony. He found him sleeping on the floor while wearing an iron man's helmet.
"Yeah Ben it was fine thank you, how was your day, how was your day may?"
"Thanks Tony, it was fine, here have some coffee"
"You know what I will order dinner for all of us, there are a lot of things to talk with you about Tony, have a seat please"
Tony sighed as he sat down and looked at Ben. He already know what he's going to say. this isn't the first time they have this conversation.
"Tony, you know that I love you, you are my brother and I, as your elder brother, I MUST protect you and keep you save, I'm not willing to lose another brother..., Anyway it's not about that-"
"I know what is it about Ben-"
"Then why you don't want to listen to me Tony, Peter is just a kid, he is eleven now- "
"He is ten" said Tony, Ben rolled his eyes and then continued.
"Come on Tony, you are making it harder for both of us, I know that you are sad for not being with Natasha but you don't have anything to do with that, Peter needs a mother Tony, he need someone who's always there for him,to give him the love he never had, but you are not letting him have it like any normal kid, did you ever think that If you are with Natasha she will be always there for him and give him enough love, she is a busy business woman, she has influence, you are always at work or in the lab or patrolling, you don't have much time with him, we are. He need a mother Tony, not his aunt and uncle always there to babysit him"
Tony just looked down , he knows that Ben is right, he knows that Natasha will be also busy and won't be free to spend all her time with Peter, he don't want Peter to grow up like that, without a mother to love him except for may, but after all, may is not his mother.
Peter doesn't even know where is his biological mother is or even who is she, Tony told him that he will tell him when he grows up.
"Ben, I understand you that I know- "
"If you really do then why Tony, why are you doing that to yourself and to your son, you know what, you need a holiday, find yourself a girlfriend, spend more time with Peter, other than that, I will not have any other choice other than taking Peter from you- "
"NO, no, sorry, I know but... I need someone that I can trust to know informations about me, my work and my past and to take care of my son, i can't find someone that I really can love or trust after..."
"Tony, you and her don't have any future together, she kissed you, you are lucky that she didn't has the chance to drag you to the bed, she was going to fire you after that "
Tony felt rage at Ben's words, he was about to reply and tell him that he's wrong, that Natahsa is not like that at all, she's not like the people see her, but the bell rang. Ben stood up and walked toward the door but before he opened the door, he looked at Tony.
"Think about what I said, I love you and Pete, if you don't want him to pass through what you have been through when you were young then you have to do what I told you and remember Tony, Mr superhero, ironman, with great powers, come great responsibility" then he opened the door.
Tony start to think about everything Ben said, he know that he has to take a holiday but they all are really in an important period now in shield, and he can't just leave for a holiday after they found cap. he can help Steve a little, Tony know very well, he would have been worse If he woke up after 70 years and find... All of that.
He also needs to spend more time with Peter. He knows that he want to start dating. But he can't find one that he can trust enough to know that he is working for shield, and that he is iron man, and to takes care of Peter. He never had a girlfriend before, never he tried but how want to date a loser like him.
Tony stayed like that for a long time, thinking about everything while eating dinner with the others.
Meanwhile
Steve is sitting in the bar with Howard who invited him so he could learn about everything in the modern time. He's thinking about everything, about Peggy, Howard, 2012, the new weird technology. He missed too many things. Peggy was the love of his life. She was the first woman who ever wanted to date him, and probably last one-
"-I finally found you pal, are you with me? " Howard's voice cut through Steve's thoughts, Steve looked at him and smiled.
"Yeah, I was just thinking..."
Steve didn't want to tell Howard anything, to be honest, he feels something like jealousy toward Howard for having Peggy, so he decided to try and not show that by not trying to think about Peggy any longer.
"hey, where is the flying cars that you promised us about?"
Jocked Steve and Howard start to Laugh "I did make a flying cars pal, but the world isn't really ready yet for something like that ,someday they will,and when that day comes, I'm sure that my son will make one better than mine"
"I thought that you don't know where your son is ?" Asked Steve and Howard's face turned red.
"I don't really know where I can find him but I'm sure he is as smart as his old man"
Then they start to talk about everything else that happened, not caring for anything happening around them and not knowing that there is something coming that will change everyone's life.
