And if per chance Tony Stark shed a tear at his adopted sons speech well no on was going to mention it. Especially among the avengers considering they had similar reactions.
Six months later when Stark Industries held a press conference and Tony Stark introduced his heir and successor Peter Parker, the entire of Midtown that hadn’t attended the field trip were surprised but not shocked in fact it made perfect sense. It explained everything, the jigsaw pieces slotted into place and the enigma that was Peter Parker finally made sense. Many students kicked themselves for not figuring it out while the teachers looked on with knowing smiles. One Flash Thompson did not sleep well that night, nor any night that week after realising that he’d bullied the next CEO of Stark Industries.
And Peter Parker, well he was just happy he no longer had to juggle school on top of everything else.
