Punish Like Odin | Thor Odinson & Peter Parker
The team stumbled back into the Avenger's tower, bleeding and injured from their battle just now. They could've been fine.... if it wasn't for Peter to fuck up his job and go against the orders he was given.
Natasha was shot in her lung and had to be brought to the hospital as soon as possible, as well as Clint who was stabbed in his lower stomach multiple times.
It was total chaos.
Peter of course didn't do it on purpose though and clearly didn't see the seriousness of the situation when he made the mistake, but someone had to teach him a lesson and Thor already regretted he told the rest it would be him. He knew the kid never meant to ruin the mission by jumping into the fight so recklessly and early, he was supposed to be back-up, but he couldn't really blame him either.
"How am I supposed to punish him? I can't look into his guilty big eyes and tell him I have to punish him for what he did." Thor whined softly as he stared at Peter laying on the sofa, catching a small ball while his eyes burned by the tears he tried to hold back. "He looks defeated enough."
"Do it like your father would." Steve walked up to him to position himself next to the man with his arms crossed.
"My father?" Thor finally looked away from Peter and towards Steve. "No."
"Yes, like Odin would punish you when you were a little boy." Steve shrugged while he held his chin up confidently. He clearly stood behind his plan, but Thor didn't like it at all. He didn't want to punish this innocent kiddo like he would have been punished back when he was young. He was also too old to get spanked, he wouldn't learn anything from that at this age anymore.
"I'll figure something out." Thor mumbled back and Steve patted his back before he left. "Peter?" He called out and walked to the couch.
"Yeah....?" He looked up and stopped throwing his ball up.
"I um...." He sighed and stared at his feet for a second.
"It's fine, I already heard what's going on." He sat up and rubbed his eyes to hide the tears. "Where do you want me to go?"
"Training room." He shortly answered and the both of them began walking there in silence. "Just before we do something, I'm sorry." Thor whispered.
"I know." He whispered back and stared at Thor to wait for further instructions.
"So.... Steve told me to punish you the way my father would." He cleared his throat and looked at the fighting robots that Tony had made for them to train. "And that would've involved you getting spanked, perhaps even with a belt or something close to that, but I'm not going to do that.... not this time." He smiled weakly at Peter. "Besides you're too old for that so we're going to do something else."
"And what's that?" He straightened his back a bit and relaxed, feeling a bit relieved.
"You're going to learn what patience is." Thor pointed at the fighting robots. "And you're only going to fight back when it's really necessary."
"Wait.... I have to let those guys hit me?"
"Or avoid them, but there are too many and you're not allowed to use your spider senses so you don't really have a choice until I say you're allowed to fight back." Thor leaned against the wall, activating the robots with a small panel. "And you're starting now. I'll be back in 5 hours."
"5 hours?!"
"Bye Peter, have fun." Thor waved and left the training room, letting out a sigh when he was out of Peter's sight.
This was the first and last time he was punishing someone for their mistakes.
