~Dr. Strange Messing Up A Spell & Summoning The Reader~
It was scary suddenly switching universes.
One moment the woman was sitting on her grey sofa, her hair up in a messy bun and a bowl of popcorn on her lap while watching a horror movie.... and the next moment she was suddenly in a wet and dark alley in New York. She had no idea where she was or how she got there and had begun to wander around, hoping to find help.
With her hair soaked and her sweats ripped she ended up at the doorsteps of the Sanctum Sanctorum, knocking on its door loudly, but she didn't really expect an answer from it after knocking for 2 minutes and turned around again.
Right when she was ready to walk away though, she suddenly got transported to a cage in a 'magician's dungeon'.
"Strange! We got another one!" Wong yelled and Peter smiled a bit, proud he caught another one of the bad guys.
Well, so he thought.
"That's impossible.... there wasn't a woman on the list." The man flew down the stairs with his gorgeous red cape, his brows furrowed causing a deep frown.
"What do you mean?" Wong questioned, crossing his arms after closing the front door.
"I registered everyone we knew were on earth and there wasn't a woman amongst them." He repeated and scratched his goatee. "Peter.... were you sure she wasn't from Earth 616?"
"About 87% sure? But I had my Peter tingle!" He bit the inside of his cheek, a bit embarrassed because of course he didn't know it a 100% certain and Stephen sighed, quickly making his way down to the dungeons to see her for himself.
He had such a strange feeling.... he couldn't have missed someone right?
With strong steps he marched down the stairs, changing his winter clothes in the meantime since it grew warmer the more he went down, and then he walked through the heavy doors.
Immediately after stepping food inside the room he began to count the villains and then at last finally landed on the lost woman, sitting with her back against the wall and her head hidden in her knees.
He somehow had such a strong feeling he knew her.
It was as if he was pulled towards her and he suddenly made a huge mistake when he walked inside her cell, knowing it was wrong to enter them, but did it nonetheless. She didn't make a movement at all though, she didn't even look up at him, and the man slowly sat down next to her.
"Do you know how you ended up here?" He questioned softly, staring ahead of him at Dr. Curtis Connors because he had no idea if she wanted his comfort or not.
"No...." She mumbled into her knees and Stephen's head suddenly jerked her way, recognising her voice instantly.
It was so familiar.
"Do you know Peter Parker?" He asked and spoke a bit louder so she could properly hear the name, watching her carefully.
"No...." She whispered and carefully looked up from her knees so she could look at him, somehow remembering who the man ahead of her was and Stephen knew exactly who the woman in front of him was too once they shared eye contact.
"Y/N Y/L/N?" He whispered, tears forming in the corner of his eyes as he tried to keep himself tough.
"Dr. Stephen Strange...." She replied with a slight and weak smile and he instantly wrapped his arms around her, embracing her tightly.
She embraced back tightly, hiding her face in the crook of his neck while she silently soaked his uniform.
It had been so long since the two lovers had seen each other.
It had all happened on the day Stephen became the Sorcerer Supreme. He had casted a spell that was needed to save the entire world from great danger, but Y/N was the one who suffered the consequences without them knowing. He had come home to an empty house, the woman he loved disappeared for good and sent to another universe unbeknownst to them both. She slowly had begun to forget she was originally from Earth 616 and continued her life there until something had suddenly sent her back. The only weird thing was how she managed to return if she had no idea who Peter Parker was, but Stephen couldn't really care at the moment.
He would figure it out later.
"I'm so so sorry that this happened to you, love." He moved his hands up and down her sides and Y/N slowly shook her head, pushing him back a little bit to stare at him with her bloodshot eyes.
"You did what you had to do.... no matter the cost.... and we both didn't even know something like that would've happened." She tried to reassure him and he nodded a bit, moving his thumbs over her cheeks to dry them. "I still love you, you know that right?" She leaned into his touch and stared up at him.
"I know.... and I still love you too." He replied and pressed his lips against hers, kissing her gently while Y/N melted into it. She kissed him back a bit deeper before they both pulled away to catch their breaths and they smiled at each other. "Now let's get you cleaned up and then surprise Wong." He muttered against her lips and they both got up.
