“I’m sorry, how much?” Steve asked, it was clear to Peggy how shell shocked he was. To be perfectly honest she was too, after seventy years it seems that military's back pay added up handsomely.
“$8.63 million, Sir.” The young teller says calmly, as if he’s used to talking about that much money.
Steve swore under his breath, and ran a hand through his hair, “jeez, that’s more money than I ever had in my entire life.” he said more too himself than to anyone else.
“It’s more money than Howard ever made,” Peggy pointed out, a slight smile tugging at her lips. “Congratulations, Steve you are now one of the one percent.”
